“We had pani puri, dahi puri, wai wai sadeko, and the goat thali, and everything was absolutely delicious. The pani puri was fresh and flavorful, the dahi puri was perfectly balanced and creamy, and the wai wai sadeko had the right amount of spice and tang. The goat thali was the highlight rich in flavor, well-cooked, and very satisfying. Overall, the food tasted authentic and fresh, and the experience was excellent. Highly recommend this place. “This has become a staple for us every time we visit San Francisco. Their daily happy hour (which includes weekends) has 1.55 oysters, you really can’t find that good of a deal on a weekend anywhere else - or at least we haven’t been able to!

The seafood is as fresh and high quality as it gets, served in the most unique way. Start with the chowder, packed with a wide variety of shellfish, spiced just right with a little kick to it, neither New England nor Manhattan, they have invented a new broth that is both rich and flavorful while being light. The Scallops are a must try. They simply melt in your mouth with a burst of complex flavors. The small plate tostadas meld flavors and textures you just can’t find anywhere else. Although it is located on Divisadero in a multi-block long string of restaurants, the atmosphere inside has the feel of the most comfortable neighborhood bistro. Impecable service all at a very reasonable price for the quality and the creativity and joy the food will bring to your palate.“

“I visited Sirene on 4 occasions during my last visit to Oakland (only 48hours!) Each time was great in its own right. From excellent specialty coffee and breakfast/lunch fare, with a mix of self service made easy and convivial. At dinner gets even better - exotic and exquisite food and wine (what a list! Even by glass), well portioned and presented, all paired up with excellent service from David - guiding you from food through wine and sequencing it all for ultimate delight. A piano which a patron played on during my last lunch made it all the more memorable. A must try neighbourhood gem!“

“Had lunch at the little shucker. It is an interesting place. Lunch menu is simple and focused on seafood. All seafood dishes are fresh and cooked to perfection. The salad didn’t look too appealing but tasted delicious. Actually we loved everything we ordered. Our favorite appetizer is scallop tartare and Brussels sprouts. The roasted whole fish is also excellent. The portion is small but we don’t mind. They definitely deserve a five star rating for food. However the plates were really shabby and worse than those used in school cafeterias. I would not use these for my dogs or cats. The decorations are also very bland. I think the purpose might be to create a casual and relaxing atmosphere. Chairs and benches are not comfortable. I would probably come for a quick bite or a glass of wine but not a real sit down meal with friends.“

“Yeah this place is super fun. As far as oyster bars in the east bay I can’t think of a better spot. The decor is super cool sweet mix of modern meets east coast fishing house. The service was great and the oysters tasted great. When I come back I think I’ll try the fish and chips. The couple next to us got them and I was super jealous. The wine selection is also really good, small but it has 3 options for every type, what else do you need???

“I had an absolutely wonderful experience visiting this place. It’s a new restaurant, open for just a little over a month. I stumbled upon it by chance on Google Maps while looking for somewhere that serves fresh, delicious oysters late in the evening.

When I walked in, I was truly amazed by the atmosphere, the interior, and the unique style that filled the space. Looking at the menu made it even more exciting, as the restaurant offers far more than just fresh oysters and seafood — the variety of dishes is impressive. Every plate that came out of the kitchen was a delight and a surprise. The subtle layers of flavor, the elegant presentation, and the unexpected notes that gave a whole new perception of taste were simply outstanding.

The service was excellent, with light background music that perfectly complemented the ambiance. I can confidently say this place is a solid 5 out of 5, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.

“I read all the wonderful reviews on the actual website, and a friend and I decided to meet there for dinner last night (3/5/25) I was excited about trying out a new spot. The ambience was nice the restaurant was lively and surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night. Our food arrived in a timely manner however, our Server never return to ask if there was anything else needed. Although the crab chowder bowl was tasty, I would have like a little pepper and perhaps some Tabasco to further bring out the flavors. Unfortunately I couldn't get the Servers attention. The garlic noodles were definitely garlicky which wasn't the problem. There was way to much butter/olive oil with no other type of seasoning leaving them bland. The real issue was how the Server popped up and started reaching around the table to remove things as if we were being rushed out. She came back with dessert tray of which we declined then proceed to bring check and clear what she could away. A large group sitting nearby was rushed out after another large group was escorted to their table. Most started trying to finish their wine and gather their things which was obviously awkward for the group that appeared who had to turn around and give them room to leave. Our Server offered to-go containers and appeared impatient that we weren't leaving. Our entire dinner from beginning to end was 50 mins( with my friend trying to eat a whole crab which takes time) and we felt very rushed. Overall our experience was just "ok" therefore I wouldn't rush back anytime soon. We did however appreciate the 1 hour parking validation.“
