“The fried rice with the Gobi Manchurian tasted delicious and a fantastic pairing. Samosa chaat was delightfully tangy and the chilli momos were saucy and flavorful. The spice level customizations are carefully done - the mild offered no teary eyes and the medium had a kick to it. The Nepal ice beer was light and crisp. Portion sizes were huge and we had leftovers over 1-2 more meals. If you'd like to avoid leftovers and are moderately hungry, share a fried rice and an entree to pair it with. Service was attentive and friendly.We'll definitely be back for more!“

We started with a couple of appetizers that set the tone right away: bold, fresh, and packed with unique flavor combinations. The pork ribs were a total standout — perfectly tender with just the right balance of sweet and savory, and the fried rice that came with them was rich, flavorful, and satisfying on its own.
But the real star of the night was dessert — the Baked Hawaii. Not only was it beautifully presented, but it was also hands down one of the best desserts we’ve ever had. A creative twist on a classic, and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.

I'm now looking forward to being there during different kinds of weather to enjoy all of the things that can be done with it. When you add the great food and perfect view you just can't go wrong. “Incredible food. Every. single. time. Super flavorful, great ingredients and just made with so much love (you can taste it). The plantains are always so ripe and sweet. They have wonderful service and a nice outdoor space to dine as a different option to sitting inside. My favorite is the fried goat with rice+beans and sweet plantains. The griot is amazing too. And so is their sorrel drink. There’s really nothing but great things to say about this family run business. For folks with allergies or dietary restrictions - they have plenty of options too. “The dishes are creative and visually pleasing, but unfortunately, they were way too salty. I woke up the next day with some swelling, which has happened to me before when restaurants use a lot of salt. My other friends, who prefer stronger flavors, didn't report swelling but also found the food salty, even though they usually like salt.“

“We enjoyed our experience dining at little shucker. The service was very good. They were attentive and fast. We got yuzu oysters, miso bone marrow oysters, a crab roll, and mussels. The mussels were delicious and paired well with white wine! We preferred the cold yuzu oyster over the baked bone marrow oysters. However, both were good. The yuzu oysters just tasted more refreshing, which we like for oysters. The hot crab roll was packed with meat. It was a little too buttery though, so next time we will try it cold. The interior was cute. Overall, a very cute date spot!“

The ppl up front were very accomodating in terms of allowing us to switch from our requested table upstairs to downstairs. “I read all the wonderful reviews on the actual website, and a friend and I decided to meet there for dinner last night (3/5/25) I was excited about trying out a new spot. The ambience was nice the restaurant was lively and surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night. Our food arrived in a timely manner however, our Server never return to ask if there was anything else needed. Although the crab chowder bowl was tasty, I would have like a little pepper and perhaps some Tabasco to further bring out the flavors. Unfortunately I couldn't get the Servers attention. The garlic noodles were definitely garlicky which wasn't the problem. There was way to much butter/olive oil with no other type of seasoning leaving them bland. The real issue was how the Server popped up and started reaching around the table to remove things as if we were being rushed out. She came back with dessert tray of which we declined then proceed to bring check and clear what she could away. A large group sitting nearby was rushed out after another large group was escorted to their table. Most started trying to finish their wine and gather their things which was obviously awkward for the group that appeared who had to turn around and give them room to leave. Our Server offered to-go containers and appeared impatient that we weren't leaving. Our entire dinner from beginning to end was 50 mins( with my friend trying to eat a whole crab which takes time) and we felt very rushed. Overall our experience was just "ok" therefore I wouldn't rush back anytime soon. We did however appreciate the 1 hour parking validation.“

“Walk by it all the time. Decided to get soup egg flower soup with extra veg and loved it the portion was big enough, and tasty. Also few spots walkable few blocks around that doesn’t use seafood broth for soup which helps vegetarian like me“

“Gotta get seafood. It’s in the name of the business. I had one shrimp taco and one fish taco. Both proteins were fried and breaded with an ample amount of slaw on top. Really good flavors. I preferred the shrimp since the texture was nice and bouncy, but the fish was good too.

There is a small tented area with two four-top tables. Other than that, I guess you gotta take it to go.

The staff was incredibly nice. Great service. I can’t wait to try the rest of their menu. A great addition to the neighborhood. In a sea of great taquerias and taco trucks in Richmond, you need to stand out and Mi Casita does just that.

UPDATE: Went back for a shrimp burrito and it’s fantastic. The shrimp is sautéed in this flavorful sauce. It’s up there with La Bamba’s shrimp burrito for sure.“
