“I’m sad I live so far because I loved this place! They have an area with vegan pantry and freezer items. I got a really good guava drink from there, omg. I ordered the sushi roll that has vegan beef in it, forget name. It was so hard to choose but I had to pick something I could eat while driving lol. I enjoyed it! I also got 2 containers of their cookies, banana choco chip and the yin yang ones. At first, I didnt care for them, but they grew on me. Just wasnt what I was expecting. I’d love to try their cheesecake one day. Very friendly services, possibly was the owner himself.“

“If you love Fresh fish at a good price look no further. The Sashimi is amazing and great portions. They have fresh Real WASABI available which take the fish to a whole new level. Sometimes they have toro which is my favorite. Remember that they do allow reservations and they are very very busy, which is what you want!

The sushi rolls have about twice the amount of fish in them than other local places (and we have tried them all). Wonderful specialty rolls and all the traditional favorites! You can't go wrong here! Even has many non-sushi options.

“Been going to this restaurant for at least 10 years. It’s a small place and always busy. The food has never disappointed me. The lunch special is reasonably priced and they have this great deal on party trays. For $95 I think we got about 8-10 sushi rolls, I forgot the exact count. Service is great.“

Seating is very limited and the menu gives off a bit of a dated feel but you really can't argue the classics when they're done well.

Sushi rice had just a bit of tang and was light and fluffy.

Dishes were presented very well and our server was thoughtful and cautious enough to make sure our table wasn't overflowing. We ordered about 6 items and by the 3rd plate things were crowding up.

Blue crab avocado roll ($9) - A little heavy on the Japanese mayo and rice but it made for a great presentation on the plate it was on.

Tempura mixed ($9) - 3 pieces of shrimp and 3 pieces of veggies. I'm on the fence with this one since I really enjoyed the presentation but felt like the batter on the shrimp was heavy and the veggies were mostly extra starchy items.

Mini spicy tuna bowl ($9) - This was a pleasant favorite! Just the right amount of heat and a decent amount of tuna over that delicious sushi rice. The first couple of bites where the cold tuna contradicts the warm rice was like being able to eat that feeling of walking on the warm sand and letting the chilly ocean water cool you off.

Amberjack/Hamachi Tuna ($5/piece) - This was interestingly a lighter flavor than what we were familiar with. The cut was thin but blanketed the rice with just a small swipe of sauce and a dab of yuzu paste on top. Playing perfectly well with the tangy rice but also all being a star of the bite while being clean.

Grilled Tuna Belly ($12) - This was the star of the table. Lightly grilled with a bit of crispy edges, seasoned and topped with garlic and micro greens and paired with a dipping sauce on the side to choose how heavy or light you prefer to dip.

Tempura Ice cream ($7) - Couldn't leave our first visit without trying a dessert item. Classic fried ice cream that is wrapped with pound cake and rolled in their delicious tempura batter. Saving room for this is a must if you grew up demolishing these in the early 2000s.

Hidden gems are great to find and it feels like this place has a lot of classics that give you a homey feel where you don't know where to start. Just dive in and make sure you mark off the ones you've tried because there are a good amount of dishes that were of value and quality here.

“Hi again to all you gastronomic foodies. Today's food adventure took us to Aoki sushi in La Verne California. If you are in the area please give them a try. The food was very good and fresh. You will notice right away as you walk in, that the atmosphere is rustic but inviting. The service was warm prompt and friendly and the food was very good, the sushi was very battery and succulent. We shared a bento box and a rainbow roll for our lunch, it was so good. Not only were we very happy with the quality but there was plenty of food to fill both of us up. “We've lived near this restaurant for many years but didn't eat sushi until the last couple of years. Once we started eating sushi we started frequenting OSushi several times per week. The food is delicious, service is great, atmosphere is friendly, and your meal gets to you quickly. We've compared this restaurant to many highly regarded ones near and outside the area but everything about OSushi is so good there's no reason to go anywhere else. This is our favorite!“

“I've been to other Kopan locations and I'm so happy to see one here in WC! Ramen is the best medicine on cold winter days, especially when you're feeling a little sick. I needed a quickly satisfy my ramen craving, and it hit the spot. I looked at the sushi options too, but I wasn't in the mood for sushi. The ramen is exactly how I remember at the other locations. The downfalls of the ramen I received...

-I wanted a hot soup to soothe my throat. The soup was between room temp and the ideal hot for how I was feeling.
-The chashu seems to be cut a lot thinner than I remember. I remember, which was some time ago, the slices being double the thickness that what I received.
-I don't remember if I saw extra toppings on the menu, like the crunchy onion and garlic. But post meal, I see it's on the online menu.

Now, the broth was very flavorful. The spice was perfectly mild, the way I like it. The chashu perfectly cooked and flavorful.

Service was good. The server was attentive for the most part. Felt a bit rushed, but it seemed like he was the only one on the floor. I was still enjoying my ramen and he already asked if I was ready to settle the bill. I kindly obliged and paid my bill at that moment. I could have potentially ordered sushi, depending how content I was after the ramen, or even dessert.

Parking is convenient. The plaza does have a parking structure. Although, it appears that they are doing some construction, so there are large containers in the parking spaces. There is also street parking, which is a shorter walking distance on Glendora, where the entrance is located.

I'd definitely recommend this place and will be looking forward to dining here again in the near future.“

“This place is located in the plaza where Tokyo Central Market is located. The lunch special menu was very extensive. I tried the pig hock rice dish and it was decent, but the lean portion of the pork was bit tough to chew. Each dish came with a salad, but no dressing?!? There were also a good variety of hot pots for $15, which nowadays is reasonable. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall, it was a good lunch and we will return to try other items.
