The prices have gone up, but if you're craving dongchimi noodles and meat,
this is the place to go. The meat is all delicious, but the prices have gone up significantly compared to before, so you'll have to settle for beef tongue or Gilmok Gui. It's a place you'll return to for the taste.“

The lobster quality is great with thick claw meat and a nice sized pickle. The tomato bisque isn't bad, but I'll try the clam chowder next time.
Good Lobster is hard to come by since COVID. On splurge days, this is a really good choice. The people are cool too.“

“A 4 in one location! Loved the variety of the different type of foods! The soups were delicious, the smash burger smelled good(didn’t taste it was for my young son) which he said was good, the arugula salad so tasty and the pink power salad was indescribable(that good) definitely coming back again. “The stars aligned. We were overjoyed to find a BOB vegan restaurant, inspired by grandcestor Dr. Sebi's alkaline nutritional guide. Highly recommend Beyond Vegan - Culver City. The food was flavorful. My friend ordered the namesake quesadillas, and I ordered the jackfruit tacos with mango salsa. Double the flavor - we shared our meals. Yum! The portions were large, filling, and pleased my soul. What I thought to be a side of mashed sweet potatoes was warm, smooth mashed beans. Tacos and quesadillas on point. Purple wild rice was a delightful surprise. Diversity in texture, flavor, colors, and quality ingredients. No better way to catch up with a friend than eating outdoors at Beyond Vegan!“

“I’ve been struggling to find a decent Tonkatsu, but this one is among the best Ive had in the US. I’m not an expert in Japanese cuisine but I have been to Japan a few times an this place is within striking distance of the average tonkatsus I had there. I’ll be back when I’m in the area“

On the table . As soon as we stepped in we were greeted , which I appreciate considering many places leave u standing there awkwardly. The music level was on point , low enough to talk loud enough to appreciate. The staff is very kind , they give off family vibes . Food came out quickly and hot . “We had a great experience at our first time visit here. We celebrated my son's birthday and brought in a cake. The food was amazing except for the Alaskan salmon that they substituted from what we originally ordered. They have an all day happy hour on Monday to Thursday. The service was excellent and the servers even sang happy birthday when they brought out the cake. The place was nice and clean and it wasn't crowded when we dined. The only problem was the people on the next table were too loud and there was no wall dividing them to our table so the guy sitting behind my son's girlfriend keeps on bumping into her every time he moved. We will definitely go back here.“

“My mom and I have been to a lot of Korean restaurants in LA, and Jincook is far by one of the best we've had. The quality of their food is top-notch and service was great. Now I understand the hype!
We tried...
-Galbi Jjim Braised Beef Short Ribs were incredibly soft, tender and fall of the bone, sauce was very flavorful, slightly sweet from kobucha and spicy! Portion is huge that feeds 4 people. Add cheese to elevate the flavor even more.
-Marinated Dumplings - Slightly crispy on the outside and the meat filling was flavorful. So good!
-Souvide Porkbelly -OMG melt in your mouth porkbelly slices!! So amazing!
-Chicken Katsu Curry - Perfectly fried breaded chicken on a bed of white rice and curry sauce.
Service was welcoming and inviting and our server was patient with all the questions I had. Highly recommend this place.

“Had a great meal at Sun Nong Dan Sawtelle tonight. We ordered the #3 and #10 soups, and both were absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and super comforting. The portion sizes were incredibly generous, easily enough to share or take some home for later. Our server Moses was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Overall a really enjoyable experience with great food and great service. Definitely looking forward to coming back!“

“I stayed at my friend’s place for five days while I was in LA. On the last day, I wanted to repay them a bit with a meal. It was a nice Korean place. I knew they wouldn’t let me pay, so I slipped out in the middle of the meal, gave my card to the waiter, and paid. I really thanked him for going along with it. The place was packed by noon. “Glad Hurry Curry has reopened after closing their Sawtelle location. if you are new and don't know what to order, try the chicken cutlet curry and the Chicken pasta with Alfredo sauce. The curry is bold and savory. make sure to request picked vegetables for the curry. the chicken pasta is also rich and savory. both dishes complement each other without repeating the same experience. the portions are large so bring friends or bring home plenty of portions for leftovers.“

“I want to share my heartfelt appreciation for Javon, whose kindness and dedication truly made our Thanksgiving event unforgettable. We hosted a gathering for more than 75 residents, and Olive Garden catered our meal. The food was wonderful, but we noticed one item was missing. I reached out, but with so much happening, I wasn’t able to follow up.
What happened next genuinely touched me: Javon arrived in person before the event even ended, carrying the missing item, a gift card, and a warm, sincere smile. It wasn’t just the fact that he fixed the mistake—it was the care, the thoughtfulness, and the effort he put into making things right. In the middle of a busy holiday week, he still made us a priority.
Because of him, the party flowed beautifully, and our residents enjoyed a truly special celebration. His gesture meant more than he probably realizes. The event was a success not only because of Olive Garden’s food, but because Javon went out of his way to ensure we were taken care of.

“I stopped by for lunch on a weekday thinking it wouldn’t be too busy—but the place was already packed shortly after opening, with nearly every table filled and Korean being spoken all around. That’s always a good sign.
The space isn’t large, but it feels right: clean, tidy, and welcoming. You can tell the ingredients are fresh, and there’s a sense of care in how the food is prepared—something that goes beyond just flavor.
We ordered three dishes, all standout:
27. Maeun Deung-Galbi Jjim (Spicy Braised Beef Short Ribs)
The portion was generous—five large beef ribs served with pumpkin, rice cakes, and potatoes, all simmering together. The staff kindly offered to cut the ribs and pumpkin into bite-sized pieces, and they did it carefully, making everything easy to eat. The meat was fall-apart tender and well-seasoned, without being overly rich.
But the highlight: adding the melted cheese on top. Watching the cheese stretch over the ribs was worth it alone—so aromatic and satisfying. At $55, this pot easily feeds three people. Great value.
13. Wang Galbi Tang (Premium Beef Rib Soup)
The broth was clear yet deeply flavorful, clearly slow-simmered for hours. The beef rib was so tender it fell off the bone with a gentle nudge of the chopsticks. Comforting and wholesome.
8. Seok Uh Sulung Tang (Beef Tongue & Brisket Soup)
A milder, clean-tasting soup packed with thinly sliced beef brisket, cheek meat, knee cartilage, and glass noodles. The beef tongue was tender, and the cartilage had a nice chew. A dash of the provided black pepper and salt brightened the flavors perfectly.
We also tried the meat dumplings—thin skin filled with pork and chives, simple but well-made.
This isn’t a flashy spot, but the food feels sincere and hearty. If you appreciate honest, homestyle Korean cooking, this place deserves a visit.
Parking: street parking available, or $3–$4 valet in the plaza.“

“Hands down the best late night hearty meal after a fun night with friends! The food regardless of what you choose is amazing with fresh ingredients and full of flavor! The employees have it down and are so quick to assist and are friendly. It does get quite busy depending on when you go, but since SND closes so late there tends to be a wait at night. There’s plenty of tables and the workers do their best with the waitlist. Parking is limited, so your best bet is street parking. Def my go to late meal spot or hangover meal! :)“

“Nong La has a dedicated Canto Viet man diligently directing the back of the house day in and day out, making sure the food hits their level of comfortable consistent cuisine, which won’t exactly blow minds or taste buds, but fills an exotic unfamiliar question mark into a manageable modern meal. But there’s this really Skinny Canto Viet lady bossing a bunch of diverse ppl around… she’s kinda scary at times and fiery at times… I suspect Nong La (Nong La means Burning) was named after the hot heat came from her own… hot… …..!😉🤓🔥🥵)“
