Our server Jacob asked to reopen their kitchen just to make us some dessert even though it was after hours. He also gave us a complimentary food option in case they weren't able to make the dessert for us. The service is unbelievably nice. I would come again for dinner.“

Their oatmilk lattes are by far my favorite thing to get there. They use quality syrups, espresso beans, and oatmilk! It tastes the same EVERY time which is amazing to me and so very appreciated!

Also, the location is absolutely perfect. It's clean, tidy, and overall such a fun vibe. You can tell Joy and Q love what they do and it is apparent in how the run their shop.“

The MalaTang here is genuinely the best I’ve had, it’s so rich and flavorful that, for the first time, I finished the entire bowl.

“This place has such consistently good food. they don’t have interior seating, but they do have some outdoor seats. Typically I just come here for food pick ups. The panko chicken is my favorite. Something about their rice flavoring makes it so much better as well. Overall it’s a solid place for a healthy great tasting meal.“

“The is was our second trip to NEP and was as good as the first! Both the shrimp salad app and the squid and mango salad were so well balanced and tasty. The garlic noodles and shaking beef were sooo good. Nothing was too spicy but really flavorful. The shaking beef was so good we ordered another one! The cocktail that night was a raspberry sour and too was perfectly prepared. For a casual restaurant, these guys really put out the effort. Oh, and the sticky rice/mango desert was the topper. “The quality of the food is similar to a steakhouse with quarter of the price. They grill everything fresh as you ordered it. It’s absolutely delicious! We ordered Steak and shrimp plates. The even ask you how would you like your steak cooked. The tender steak and the grilled shrimps we got was the best that I’ve ever had. “This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Irvine. It's has a cozy, low-key feeling to the inside and the coffee and matcha are great. My go to is the egg coffee, which is sweet and very creamy. We also got a mango match which was refreshing and a raspberry pistachio croissant which was very good.

“Wall Writers is a hidden gem in Irvine with a modern, cozy vibe and plenty of seating. The menu goes beyond the basics with unique drinks like ube lattes, pandan matcha, and pistachio lattes. “This was such a cute place for desserts and I’ve never had anything like this. Usually places like this they put fruit in it and there’s never other options that I like. But this one was calling my name, Milk tea bowl with Oreo. It was so yummy and refreshing and would definitely get it again. Even came in a cute bucket which I reuse!“

The eggs are fluffy and have a great flavor. The tortilla is soft. Im not one for cheese on my food. But the cheese they use is also soft and melts right into the burrito. The salsa is a must to add onto before a bit. My new spot when I’m in the area 😍“

“Just had late dinner, last minute. I found them open. It’s a nice idea. It’s something different than others. The service was fast was looking better than our picture on the website and was more rich with ingredients for this reason I do rate as a five star.“

“I had to write a review because Café Irvine absolutely exceeded my expectations. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon, and it was huge — packed, flavorful, and they give both green and red salsa, which I appreciate since I always run out elsewhere. The portion was so generous I only ate half and saved the rest.

I also got the iced Spanish latte, and it was perfect: strong coffee flavor, not overly sweet, with a subtle cinnamon finish. Easily one of my new favorite coffee spots in the area.

The café offers healthier options, and the entire deli is kosher and halal, which is impressive for a place this size. The menu rotates every few months, so there’s always something new to try.

Location-wise, it’s inside the 19000 MacArthur “pancake” building with free parking validation, which is a huge perk in this area. UCI students and building employees get 20% off.

What really makes it special is how passionate the owner is — not from the restaurant industry originally, but genuinely invested in serving good, wholesome food. Minority-owned, community-oriented, and it shows.

Whether you’re working nearby, staying in a hotel close by, or just passing through the Irvine/Newport area, this spot is absolutely worth checking out. I’ll definitely be back — and I’ll be using them for catering soon too.“

“We were excited to try this as Singaporeans! This chicken rice has about 85% similarity to authentic Singaporean chicken rice. The chicken is super soft and flavorful, the rice is the right taste too. The sauces are different, however - thai sweet chilli, 90% similar dao you, and a salty ginger paste.

We were served by a friendly young man with great attitude. Overall, will be back for the chicken rice!“
