“Food is great. I have been eating here for a year and never disappointed with the food I ordered no matter what dish it is. For some reason the French bread was so delicious yesterday and it's not hard. It was soft and fresh. Porterhouse steak was seasoned very good. Clam chowder has a lot of clams and the pieces were big. Excellent over all“

“We originally went to Jamul Casino to eat father's day dinner at Tony Gwynns Pub but didn't realize after 4pm it's a buffet only. We walked around a while to see if there was other options or if we would just leave and go somewhere else. We saw this place and decided to get a table. Smallish but pleasent environment. Our waitress was friendly but 3 different people tried to take our order. I ordered the beef chow mein , my wife ordered pad Thai noodles. We also ordered some salt and pepper wings. Food was very flavorful but a little over done. Other than that no complaints.“

If you’re looking for a family friendly restaurant with decent pricing, generous portions, and a nice atmosphere (w/a kind of retro 60’s-70’s family restaurant feel) look no further. I tried this place a second time after being impressed the first time, wanting to try their poblano burrito (which quite a few others have posted about). Holy. Wow. This burrito was FIRE. You can add steak or shrimp, but I added BOTH, and I added their chipotle cream sauce. It was massive and so delicious. They did not skimp on either the steak or the shrimp, and the burrito's other contents (cheese-stuffed poblanos, rice, beans, and guac) were really generous. Highly, highly recommend Burrito City if you're in the area.“

“I think we have a new favorite Chinese place! We ordered take out, but when I came to pick up the order, I was admiring the restaurant. It was very nice- it looks like a great place to take a date. We ordered Lemon Chicken- such a flavorful sauce!, a chicken with basil and garlic- delicious and so many whole cloves of garlic -yum!, vegetable fried rice with lots of still- crisp veggies, and the only disappointing entree- egg foo young. The sauce was magnificent, but the egg foo young was a bit overdone and unremarkable, and even the sauce-full of pieces of pork and crisp veggies - couldn't save it. Anniversary dinner here along with all our family mile stones: birthdays, wedding rehearsal dinners, etc. We love the staff, lovely people and family and the food is always great. We love the atmosphere; calm and private booths... they are family as far as we are concerned...“

They had a DJ that had really good music and then they had karaoke but it was so loud you couldn't talk to the person across from you. Every time we needed something from the waitress we had to wave her down to come to the table. She was very nice but service was not so good.“

“Update: The management seems to really to care about their business and their customers after all. Thanks the prompt response to my concerns. I gave the food truck a try and I'm glad I did.

It was not very busy when I arrived so there were only a couple of people ahead of me. I was giving my order within 5 minutes and offered Consume - delicious! Probably waited another 10 minutes for my fish burrito. They offered either fried or grilled. I got the fried one this time. The wait was okay for me since they make everything fresh.

I got it to go and ate it while driving. What I was impressed with was they automatically cut it half even though I forgot to ask them to that. It was also on a disposable tray and also wrapped with saran to keep it hot. Most taco shops don't do all of that, but it was a nice touch since I only ate half and had the wrapping already so I could eat the other half later or throw it in the fridge.

Now, the taste and texture was amazing. Perfect crunch from the fried fish and purple onions. The burrito needed nothing added for my tastes and the fish was buttery and fresh. Just the right level of kick for me but if you are a spicy fan they had at least 10-15 bottles of hot sauce available along with the cups they put in the bag.

There were comfortable seats and tables outside the truck which under a couple of tents, so it's nice and shaded, lights at night, etc. I'll definitely be back because I'm in the area a lot.

Parking: It depends on the time of day that you go. During lunch time, finding parking can be a little tricky.

“J&J's has been around a few years now. I had the three beef rolled tacos with all the fixings for 7.99 plus tax.

The tacos were good. They were crispy and had a good amount of shredded beef inside. The green avocado salsa I had with the rolled tacos was very good and offered mild heat.

The place used to be brighter inside, but it still looks nice. I like the Mexican style tile floors. The service was cordial and friendly. The have a good salsa bar.“

“This is regarding a server (I forgot her name) that initially helped me and my two toddlers outside on the patio but we wanted to move inside for happy hour. She was super sweet and helpful. When we moved tables to inside my baby was crying for like 5 min straight bc I scolded her for being a hangry toddler. This amazing server, who ended up not even being our server, so thoughtfully surprised us a bread plate with banana slices plated like a flower and it made my toddler immediately stop crying. 5 stars for her service ❤️🙏 thanks for thinking of this tired mom and being part of “the village”“
