“The owner is a lovely woman who tastes everything in her store to recommend the best Dubai chocolates and teas and cheeses for your tastes, which I found touching. We loved finding Dutch honey drops here and porcini mushrooms, and HIGHLY recommend getting a cortado at the coffee bar.”

“Liholiho is a fantastic restaurant! The space is modern and beautifully designed, with an open kitchen where you can watch everything being prepared, which adds a lot of energy and transparency to the dining experience.

The service was very friendly, attentive, and quick. The cocktails were excellent, and even the non-alcoholic one I ordered was made with care and tasted great.

The food was outstanding. The bun with beef tongue was extraordinary, the tuna tartare and ceviche were perfectly balanced and fresh, and the shrimps with crispy rice were especially memorable. All dishes showed creativity, originality, and were prepared with high quality ingredients.

For three people, including first and main courses, drinks, and one dessert, the bill came to $260, which I found fair for this level of quality. The only minus point is that the restaurant does not offer coffee, which would have been a nice way to finish the meal.

Overall, I really enjoyed everything at Liholiho. Highly recommended, and I hope I will get to return again!”

“This family-run restaurant more than live up to the 5-star reviews and our daughter’s recommendation. What a nice experience: from making the reservation to friendly greeting on arrival, through delicious dessert. Authentic HK cuisine draws SF locals and visitors from all over Asia. Server helped us pick a variety of dim sum and other dishes for our party of 6. Beyond the terrific dumplings, our favorites were Drunken Chicken, Steamed Chilean Seabass, Seafood Ma Po Tofu, Ribeye with Mushroom, and Gai Choy. For dessert we split Egg Yolk Cake, Fried Sesame Ball, and Mango Pudding. We’ll be back, and I highly recommend the restaurant.”

Solid food (except the one time I had a scale in my sushi roll). Not bad service (wish they'd be more accommodating with requests). Takes too damn long to make (~80 min ETA every time on DoorDash).

“My daughter took me and the hubby here for our Thanksgiving celebration since she couldn't come home (Sac) for actual Thanksgiving, we went to her. This was a night I won't soon forget! Having a nice meal with our daughter was a treat, the service was amazing and the food....OMG! Every bite of every dish I tasted was so so delicious! “Arrived solo while waiting for a mate and was instantly looked after by the lovely bartender & manager—genuinely great chat and brilliant drink recs. The “punch special” is chaos in a glass (a mix of whatever’s going—but cheap and fun if you’re brave). Music was random, the pool table was lively, and people were even sending drinks to strangers, which gave the whole place a buzzy, friendly feel. It’s the perfect mix of dive bar energy with proper service and solid drinks. Not polished, not trying to be—just effortlessly cool. Definitely worth a visit, and I’d happily go back.”
