“We have been going to Horses ever since they opened since it’s right in our neighborhood. The most friendly staff with a big shout out to Amanda. The most amazing craft cocktails and absolutely delicious food. I think we’ve almost tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.“

“We are visiting town from Texas and ran across Irvs burgers in Balboa. Service was friendly and quick. Breakfast burritos was perfect and the patty melt was amazing. “Angelenos have been debating this since time immemorial, so I’m happy to put it to rest: the best waffles in metro Los Angeles are at Russell’s in Pasadena. Also they validate parking. I can’t sit here and look you in the eye and tell you I value parking validation as much as I do delicious waffles, but middle age makes a confounding creature out of all of us and so here I am saying it’s darn close. Anyway, if you’re looking for waffles near old town, or if you’re somewhere else and have a reasonable means of transport to Old Town, or if you’re just sort of having this debate theoretically and have no practical waffle-procuring intentions, Russell’s is your spot.“

“This is a really neat historic spot, a craftsman home bulit in the 1800's in S. Pasadena repurposed into a restaurant. The vibe is cozy and welcoming. It's like your meeting with friends at someone's home but with professional service, where everyone can just relax and enjoy each other's company. My first visit was with a few girlfriends years ago for their happy hour which runs m-f, from 4-6pm. Since then I've come back for their brunch, and recently dinner. All visits have been memorable and exceptional all around.
They are known for their craft cocktails. My friend had to drink called Latina Medicina and substituted vodka for tequila. It was a citrusy, refreshing drink, beautifuly presented with a large square ice cube, which apparently takes 3 days to make. My husband had the Alien Pool Party cocktail, also refreshing and very fun! We had a lot of laughs with that one. So if you've never been here and are looking for something different, then I recommend you give him a try.“

Cocktails were fun, we had great wine, and the food - especially the fries, and the olives! and the steak for two, which we ordered for the table - was delicious :) Also the whole staff was warm and welcoming, and made the whole thing even more fun. “The asparagus fries. Crispy & not greasy. You can appreciate the asparagus flavor. We split the Thai spicy salad. It was spicy, but the Thai basil & the peanut dressing were the stars. It didn't need the chicken. The best was the ribeye melt. The meat was cooked perfectly.The sourdough was crusted with parmesan. With a side of horseradish that was perfectly paired for this sandwich.“

Eat N Park, an Armenian owned restaurant offers a huge breakfast with some lunch additions. This place offers dishes packed with flavor, huge portions and low prices! The omelets are amazing, the Belgian waffles, strawberry crepes fantastic & the pancakes are out of this world!!! And don’t get me started on the biscuits…hands down the best I’ve ever had! “On a Monday, I was frantic to find a comfortable place to host 35 people for a post funeral reception on Friday. I called Chris at Bon Vivant and he took care of the rest. He arranged everything , communicated well and easily and when we got there on the day of, everything was laid out, the food was prepared, Christian and his crew were on hand to make sure everyone had water and drinks. The food was perfect and SO plentiful. The atmosphere was gorgeous as always, and the crew could not have been nicer. It really was the best I could have hoped for on so many levels. I can't say enough good things about the whole experience. These people are the real deal-in a time that was very difficult for me, they cared enough to help and take a huge weight off of me. “We’ve been wanting to come here for a while and we’re so glad we did!!! Although they were fully committed for the night, we were able to get squeezed in and sat on the heated patio. We basically had it all to ourselves. Our server was amazing, recommended nearby spots for a complete “New York” experience to top off our night. The drink and food we ordered were to die for - Afrobeets, Lamb Tartare, and Yellowtail Crudo. Definitely a beautiful spot you must try!!!“
