“Our “go to” sushi restaurant in the village. Everything is always fresh, especially the king salmon sushi and sashimi. The non-sushi dishes are quite good as well (ramen, buns, salads). Nice view and decent service - no issues at all but don’t expect Eddie V’s approach. Their model is more flexible such that different people can take your order and deliver the food.“

“Such an awesome place with great food and an awesome beach setting! Whenever I come to San Diego to visit family, I will always come here after a great day on the water.“

“My husband and I have come here consistently for years. It is one of our favorite sushi spots in San Diego— the food is fresh, consistent and tasty. The service is attentive and friendly. Rose is often our waitress, she’s wonderful and it’s always great to see a familiar face. Highly recommend!“

“Great selection of vegan and vegetarian options. I had the vegan ramen (excellent, added kimchi dumplings), a sweet potato bao bun (yum), and crispy tofu. The last two items are part of the happy hour menu, which is a great deal. The owner came out, spoke to me for a bit, and brought back an off-menu dish if yakitori trumpet mushrooms that were beautiful. This is definitely a new go-to for me!“

“great value and super convenient! but most importantly I love the portions. the small size is superb, and still very filling. I especially liked the chashu pork.
some tables and a bar area for single patrons. I believe the seating area has decreased since I last seen it pre-COVID around September/October 2019.
cash only, no cards or digital payment.
also a side note, they don't serve sprite here but they do have 7-up!“

“Marufuku has some of the best ramen in San Diego! We always go for the Hakata tonkatsu dx with the thick noodles (it usually comes with thinner noodles but you can ask to substitute). It comes with juicy chasu, a soft boiled egg, pickled ginger, corn, finely shopped woo ear mushrooms, and a sheet of seaweed. The broth is rich and creamy - exactly what you would hope for in a tonkatsu broth. It’s the kind of broth that turns to jello if you leave it in the fridge because it’s so rich. This bowl of ramen also comes with a slice of their decadent marinated kakuni pork.
They have a good selection of beers and sake to accompany your meal. There are also some fun imported juices and sodas on offer.
The blistered shishito peppers are a delightful appetizer. Slightly spicy and smokey with a hint of freshness.
Marufuku is tucked in the corner of the sky deck which has many other options for drinking and eating.
You can join the waitlist early on yelp before you come to expedite getting seated.
Vegetarian options: Not many but a few vegetarian options.
Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options
Parking: Tons of free parking
Kid-friendliness: Friendly for kids
Wheelchair accessibility: This is accessible but it’s on the second floor so you have to find the elevator.“

“Tried their kakuni for the first time and it’s even better than their chashu imo! The marinate is super flavorful and adds to the depth of the broth. Their noodles are on the harder side which I like, but you can customize that if you prefer softer. I also love their unlimited self-serve bean sprouts!!“

“Was freaking out when they said let’s go to RakiRaki! Convoy and Parking!! Oh no! Calmed down and just went. So happy to find parking! Was feeling a bit nostalgic of my living in Japan and Korea days! Best Ramen I ever had was Sasebo Japan! However when it’s freezing in Seoul and you’re hungry nothing hits the spot better! This place impressed! Ordered the Fried Chicken and Gyozo but will be back for the rest because it’s so chill and casual with fast service and hot food! Very nice size portions.“

“Not quite like they make it in Japan, but not bad! It’s definitely over priced, but most things are these days. The noodles were a good size & texture and the right portion for me, but some ramen lovers might be left wanting more noods. The spicy miso broth was good and not too greasy and the meat had a delicious charred taste. The soft boiled marinated eggs were also surprisingly good. We also got the garlic edamame and some sushi.“

“The ramen is delicious, but if you're thinking of adding on broccolini skip it. They charge $1 for literally the smallest piece I've ever seen and when I called to voice my concern about feeling ripped off, they didn't care. I feel like if you're paying $20 for a bowl of ramen you should get what you pay for“

“This is hands down our favorite place for ramen! The food is consistently delicious, and the service is always top-notch. Whether it’s a quick lunch or a cozy dinner, this spot never disappoints. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing ramen and a great dining experience!“

“YUM!! I truly wasn't expecting the ramen to be THIS GOOD since it was attached to the mall eating area. It's a tiny spot, but service and atmosphere was top notch restaurant quality. I had the Blaze ramen, which I hoped would be spicier (I asked for spiciest but it was probably a 3/7) but the rest of the flavor totally made up good it. The pork was so tender, the broth so creamy and flavorful. My child is basically a ramen connoisseur now, and had the garlic truffle ramen and it was so fabulous. I was allowed to try a little and it blew my mind. Fab. Definitely worth a visit if you're a ramen person and in the area.“

“The 27 Curry Ramen is amazing. 4 out of 6 of us at dinner ordered it, and everyone loved it. I have no garlic chips and add spicy oil to it to give it even more flavor. I come to Raki Raki as much as I can as I'm never disappointed in my meal. A few locations make it convenient to visit. There's the one on Clairmont Mesa Blvd, on in Rancho Penasquitos and one in Mira Mesa. If you visit the on in PQ, be warned that they have limited seating.“

“We got the veggie ramen, it was very good.
We also got the spicy tuna bowl-not great. It came out immediately and looked like it had been pre-made, perhaps was sitting there for some time, the lettuce on it was old/wilted. I think if you come here just stick to the ramen it appears it’s what they do best.
Service was very good.
One more observation: The doors of the restaurant were rather dirty, especially the push bars on the doors. It was a strange thing that just stood out to me, but they felt sticky-maybe it was an off night. 🤷🏻♀️“

“Authentic Japanese owned. Best sushi i’ve ever had, ramen was great too. We for sure recommend Hakata ramen. We tried the fireman sushi and was great, not too spicy just the perfect amount of spice. Staff was super friendly and attentive. We will go again when in town“

“If your looking for an inexpensive and affordable restaurant on San Diego's Convoy Street ( Asian Cultural District) then this is the place for you. Not only are the prices great but the food is delicious especially the curry dishes and their Skewers. The service is great and the servers are very friendly and outgoing. We have dined here twice already and we had a fantastic experience both times.“

“Went for lunch on Friday 12:30pm and waited 30min on their digital reservation system to be seated and was finally given a table only when we asked the hostess because there were no other people ahead of us and we were showing 0 min for the last 10min on the digital reservation system until your table is ready.
The sushi chef made up for the delay as he acknowledged us and was very kind to recognize we had waited more than we needed to. The lunch specials are delicious, flavorful spicy tuna and California rolls with fresh ingredients that you can tell were just brought in and prepared that morning. Texture melted in your mouth and again the sushi chef was very kind to rush our lunch orders because of the unnecessary wait to get a table. Sushi was 10/10!“

“Covid-19 take out can be a hit or miss with food tasting like it's container. This place did not disappoint. I ordered the Vegan Ramen for a late lunch. Inside the restaurant is following proper protocol and is very clean. I have always ordered Vegan Ramen anywhere I visit outside of California, and have ordered all over San Diego. This by far is the BEST Vegan Ramen out there. The coconut milk, chili and miso broth is well balanced and buttery, the noodles and added ingredients are well proportioned, the tofu is not at all mushy or greasy..The noodles are fresh and delicious. for a couple dollars more you can add more noodles.. Definitely a stop for some comfort food!“

“Decided on URBN for a date night and it did not disappoint. From the start, the staff was super kind and friendly. We went on a Saturday night and there was no wait time, there’s plenty of seating available. We ordered a LOT of food and every thing was delicious. From the tempura veggies, miso soup & bao buns, to the sashimi & specialty rolls…I was surprised that this place didn’t have a higher rating. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a nice chill spot with delicious food and great service. You HAVE to try the ‘no rice’ rolls! The ex-girlfriend roll was my absolute favorite.“

“Pleasantly surprised by the sushi! It was actually very good and fresh sushi.
8/10 crispy rice: Definitely get the crispy rice because it was so innovative and fun to eat and obviously very delicious.
9/10 hatsukoi roll
10/10 any nigiri (especially the halibut)
9/10 blue fin tuno crudo
What also made our experience was our waiter Jaden.
I hardly write reviews about waiters, but
Jaden was one of the best waiters I’ve had in a very, very long time. He brought such a great atmosphere to the restaurant and made our night.
Definitely coming back for the food and for the service as well. There needs to be more Jadens in the world for sure.“

“Everything was delicious and fresh. I really enjoyed the Tonkatsu Curry and spicy garlic edamame (not pictured because I immediately dug in lol). My mom really enjoyed the Crispy "no rice" roll, and she's not as versed/adventurous as I am when it comes to Japanese food/sushi.
The staff was great, attentive, and efficient. So glad I finally made it to try out. Will definitely be back soon to try more of the menu! ☺️“

“Decided to place a take out order via Uber Eats. So this rating is based on the takeout.
The sushi was pretty good, especially considering it arrived roughly 20 minutes after pickup. The nigiri, rolls and miso soup are all solid options.
The price was very reasonable and I’ll not only order take out from this location again, but I’ll make a point to go dine in.“

“The chicken was overcooked and greasy.....the ramen was good and the spicy flavor was on point....the chicken threw it off however so, it could have been perfect if the chicken would have been cooked properly.....probably would not return if I was ever in San Diego again....“

“Their ramen, especially tonkostu ramen is actually good. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is their portial is small considering their price, and believe or not I don't eat a lot. Prepared for desserts if u r having this as a meal.“
