“Everything was delicious! We had the bone in short rib pho, shrimp spring rolls, BUN THIT NUONG and chili tamarind wings. The wings were my fave, so crispy and the flavor was amazing! The rib is huge and you get a very generous portion of meat. Will definitely be back to try more items! Also the yuzu lemonade was very refreshing. Ask for TRINITY when you go, she gave us excellent service!“

“The food is delicious, flavorful, and authentic. This place offers simple sit down dining in addition to to-go ordering.
Our waiter brought us water, bowls for sharing (we didn't even have to ask!), and a small dessert at the end of the meal. For a place with to-go in the name, this kind of service was unexpected and very welcome.
I didn't see any incentives for leaving a good review, so the 4.9 stars that this restaurant has is well-earned through great food, great prices, and great service.“

“Good food and good service as always!! We went every time when we were in San Diego. This restaurant high recommend 😋“
“Vietnamese coffee is very good. I love egg coffee at this place.
Parking: It takes 5-10 minutes to find free street parking. Otherwise paid parking garage just a walking distance to coffee shop and only $6/day.
There's a restaurant name Shank & Bone Vietnamese Restaurant on University Avenue it's a Vietnamese Pho restaurant just block away from Saigon Coffee.
Kid-friendliness: Yes kids like to take a walk around the area. Environment looks like a downtown“

“This is the best pho I have found in San Diego. I discovered it by lucky chance and have been coming back ever since. The service is always kind and helpful, which makes the experience even better. I highly recommend stopping by at least once.“

“Man this is some seriously dank pho. A bit on the pricier side at $20 for a large.
But this is probably the most meat I’ve ever had in a bowl, seriously more meat than noodles. I’m very very happy and would come back here SOON. If I lived closer.
WOW“

“Amazing family owned Vietnamese restaurant. We were visiting from northern Virginia and this place was the best pho we have had. Definitely recommend coming here if you’re visiting the area. Owners are very nice and seem to know all their regular customers well.“

“This is our favorite new neighborhood restaurant. Max was helpful with recommending the chicken wings as a starter. The Rib Eye Pho and Rib Bone Pho were amazing. We’ve also enjoyed the calamari on a previous visit. Abi was helpful in keeping our drinks replenished. All the staff create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, which will keep us coming back for years to come.“

“We got the 02 beef pho, and it was a deep beef broth, but the noodles and beef were slightly overcooked. I have had better balanced pho elsewhere, but the depth of the broth was crazy. We also got the tofu spring roll, and that was good! They included mint.“

“Ordered 4 dishes for takeout. The heavenly papaya salad, garlic chicken bowl, fried shrimp noodle bowl, and the pho fried noodle. Didn’t care much for the papaya salad. The dressing seems to be missing something. Taste diluted. The chicken bowl was good and flavorful. The shrimp noodle bowl was good but wish they give more shrimp. There was only two shrimp. The fried pho noodle was oily and the noodle was hard. No taste at all but just oily. I do wish they have more options tho. And the portion was pretty small and pricy.“

“Please never close this place! I’ve been coming here every time I visit San Diego from LA for the past five years. I always bring my family here—it’s an absolute must for us. The food is truly amazing. To all Koreans: skip Phil’s BBQ next door and come here instead!“

“Goi Cuon offers a very affordable combo plate with 2 rolls, a few pieces of fried tofu, fried dumplings, soup and jasmine tea (hot or iced). There are two vegan combo plates. Everything was really good! I also got the strawberry and avocado roll and it was more than enough food. I loved my iced tea as well.“

“The banh mi sandwiches are always wonderful and a dollar or two more than a McDonalds burger. Grilled pork and pork belly sandwiches are all I’ve ever had here (in 20 visits). Some day I’ll branch out 😀“

“We arrived at this restaurant right when it opened for the evening and barely managed to get a table because it was fully booked. As we dined, the place quickly filled up, and the wait time nearly reached an hour. The restaurant's popularity is evident, so it's wise to make reservations in advance. The acclaim is well-deserved, though, as the food was very good, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.“

“Loved my impromptu dine-in experience! I was waiting for my car to be fixed and found Pho Ha Noi on Google since it was a short walk away. The dine-in experience is basic & straight forward - you order at the counter and they bring the food to you when it’s ready.
I tried the grilled shrimp vermicelli noodle bowl and an iced Vietnamese coffee to-go. The server was very friendly & efficient and the food was delicious! I loved the pickled vegetables, the veggies were fresh, and the shrimp was sautéed with perfectly crisp/golden garlic & onions. I would definitely eat here again since I’d like to try a tofu dish 😊“

“So glad this location opened up! Hands down best Banh mi in San Diego. Homemade bread, high quality ingredients. The cookies are also absolutely phenomenal! Chocolate coconut. The bbq pork bahn mi is my go to. Great atmosphere, clean restaurant, perfect music“

“Ive been to this location 2 times, food is really good. Pho broth is very flavorful with generous portions. Restaurant is not huge but seating is comfortable. There is not alot of parking available but there is constant flow of customers around and wait is not too bad. The only odd thing about this restaurant is the fact that the restroom is locked and you have to carry the key attached to a small pipe from the register in order to use it, I don't know if maybe they had non-customers or homeless constantly walking in to use the restroom but I found it funny reminded me of gas stations when you have to request a key to use the outside restroom. Kind of diminishes the modern and comfortable vibe of the place.“

“Found this little gem through Maps app and it exceeded my expectations. Don't let the little strip mall exterior fool you, the food is legit and the prices are reasonable. “Excellent banh mi, but so much more: incredible, stoked fusion food. Bahn Mi tacos, fries, breakfast burritos and crazy, fantastic salt and pepper wings. Anything you grew up with had a San Diego taco shop, but with Vietnamese spin and great service. You can't go wrong here.“

“It has only Pho menus, no other side dishes. When you order the menu, it comes out real fast. Fresh broth, tasty pho, fresh basil. Price is very reasonable. We ordered Pho no. 1(X L bowl), it was $14.00. If you use a credit card, they charge a processing fee, so we paid cash.
This is one of my favorite Pho restaurants in San Diego.
The only down part is communication; the servers seem to not understand English well, so if you ask something, there is big chances they bring some other things or miss.
*We were with my service dog in a stroller, they welcomed.“

“Absolutely amazing experience at Cali Banh Mi in San Diego! My girlfriend and I recently visited and accidentally ordered the wrong sandwich. The staff were incredibly kind and understanding when we explained our mistake. Without any hesitation, they generously replaced our order, making sure we were completely satisfied. The level of customer service here is unmatched – they truly care about their customers. Plus, the sandwiches were delicious, fresh, and packed with authentic Vietnamese flavors. We highly recommend Cali Banh Mi for anyone looking for great food and exceptional service. We will definitely be back!“

“This place is an absolute MUST if you’re in San Diego / PB! It’s the best Vietnamese food everrrr IMHO. The fried egg rolls with all the veggies they come with are to die for, and the chicken fried rice is the best fried rice I’ve had in my whole life. I used to go here a few times a month when I lived nearby and I miss it SO much! Please go. You’ll be so happy you did!“

“Second time here and the place was packed! QR code ordering makes the process easier and the food arrived in a timely manner. The Banh xeo crepe was crispy, tasty and very large. It is accompanied by a generous stack of fresh lettuce leaves, perilla leaves, and mint. The marinated pork was a little underseasoned but thankfully not overly salty. My kids enjoyed their pho but my son’s dac biet bowl only had a few small pieces of tendon. The dining room is a bit stuffy and a little untidy but even with the electronic ordering, there were still some staff members walking around to assist with requests.“

“Best soup in town, 12/10!!! If you are recovering from any type of illness, their soups do just the trick (angelic wolfberry and wonton especially). The broth is so fresh and you can tell it’s home made - without all the extra sodium and oils.“

“The pho is always good and they give pretty big portions. I've tried the banh mi once too and it was huge and unbeatable for the price. Great place to stop if you're by UCSD and they stay open pretty late which is convenient. The workers are always so nice too!“
