“Overall 6.7/10 Was really excited to try this place and came for dinner a few days ago. I wasn't super enthusiastic about the meal; my husband liked it a lot better than I did. Service was great throughout. We did the high top reservation and they're in a little half nook; interior was nice. We ordered the Shrimp Chips, Stemple Creek Beef with Hong Kong Noodles, and Peking Duck. Shrimp chips were basic ships with some malt vinegar; nothing super exciting but tasty. The noodles I did not like at all; had one small serving and was done with them. I thought they had a weird tomato flavor to them. My husband loved them and finished the dish for us. Peking Duck was interesting. It comes with crepes, cucumbers, cilantro, some green onions, peanut hoisin sauce, and a mousse. Peanut hoisin was good - I was a bit concerned, but it was nice. The crepes were thicker than normal - again a little concerned, but when eating it was perfectly pleasant. The duck itself it almost a bit of a BBQ duck -- it wasn't the typical Peking Duck that you get at Chinese restaurants. If you do want the typical Peking Duck flavor, I wouldn't recommend this. It was good though. The duck itself was really fatty, which I wasn't as big a fan of. Overall, it was an ok Peking Duck -- wasn't my favorite, but definitely a fun option if you want a different style. As noted in other reviews, even though we did reserve a duck with the reservation it does take an hour to come out. The wait staff did try to pace out our dishes so we didn't feel like we had to wait a really long time for it, but just a warning if you order it be prepared to wait.“

“The food is exceptional. I’ve tried nyc chinese, florida, washington DC etc and this place was really good. The sesame chicken and pork dumplings stood out the most. We also tried the cucumber salad and that was something different but really good. I would definitely recommend giving this a shot for lunch or dinner. If I ever visit again this place will definitely get a 2nd visit from me.“

“Very crowded- lots of people waiting; which means the food is good! Servers were super busy, yet they spent time understanding my husband’s dietary needs and made adjustments to food preparation. It was a rather long wait to get our food after ordering (30 min) but it WAS WORTH THE WAIT!“

“This can easily be one of my favorite HK cafes. Expansive menu - offers literally everything you'd want to see in a HK Cafe menu: french toast, hot dog macaroni for the kids, baked pork chop rice, porridge, curry fishballs, wonton noodle soup, beef stew, the list goes on and best of all, the best HK milk tea that warms me up.It gets busy, but somehow, the amazing staff manages to keep the customers coming and going, food comes out quick and they don't rush you.“

“Let me start by saying - my friends and I LOVE lams - not only for the food, but the owners as well. She truly makes you feel appreciated and like family - she is always so sweet and so patient - one time we waited outside for our food, and she walked it out to us - she always goes above and beyond. Now for the food - CANT beat the lunch special AND the dumplings. We love the side soup it comes with - portions are big and always fulfilling. Please support this mom and pop. Way better than any franchised Chinese food. We love everything about this place and will always come back! Its to go only, can't eat in store. But we take these meals to the beach and they're just as good!“

“The food is the star, often a hot spicy one but plenty of choices for those who don't like it so hot. Good service though dishes arriving one at a time meant not, say, having rice with an entree. The restrooms were appetite-killing from what I heard from 3 different people (both male and female) but the dining room itself, basic, was fine.“

“My husband and I are vegetarians, and we loved this place! The owner was very kind and made recommendations. The portion sizes were huge so we had enough for a second meal. Great hole in the wall find!Vegetarian options: The entire menu is vegetarian with mock meat options. Ask the server for recommendations!“

“First off, this is a literal hole in the wall. I came here on the Chinese Dragon Parade day due to recommendation of my dad. He wanted to try it so my family did. Fair warning, this restaurant seats like 10 tables at best. And mind you like 4 seater tables only with a couple of two seaters. So it's really small. Hence the one star. Also cleanliness is something to be desired. But, if you look past all that, the food is absolutely amazing. It's rare to find a clay pot rice restaurant and the fact this place has plenty of variations is awesome. Heads up that the wait to get the food is about 20 min for clay pot rice since they need time to make it. We ordered 5 clay pot rices (large size, there is a small size). We ordered chicken + preserved meat, spare ribs + preserved meat, two orders of frog, and one chicken and mushroom. Everything was spectacular. Their dim sum looked average so we didn't order them but considering they're known for the clay pot rice, definitely come here for that.“

“The portions here are large for the price. All the food was very tasty and cooked to order. The waitress was very attentive and accommodating. I ordered the wonton soup with beef brisket, house special chow mein, Peking spareribs and string beans. Everything was very tasty. The wontons were very flavorful and the beef brisket added some depth to the soup. The chow mein noodles had a good chew and carried the fragrance from the wok. The Peking spareribs were cooked perfectly, tender and very tasty!I'll definitely be coming back to try some other items such as the beef chow fun and salt pepper spare ribs that I saw other people ordered.“

“Their pan fried noodles are the best! There's just enough toppings and gravy to give you a nice savory bite with all the crispy noodles. Practically all the noodles stay crunchy. This is the first restaurant I've experienced who can manage to avoid the soggy noodle thing. From all the photos posted, it looks like I'm going to need to try their scrambled eggs dishes as well.“

“Tommy's Wok does everything exceptionally well, from consistently delicious food to wonderful service. We love it for pick-up, but the atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely if you want to dine in. There is lots to explore on a menu that highlights fresh ingredients including organic produce. Our mainstay orders include beef chow fun, jumbo fried prawns, wonton soup, lettuce wraps with minced duck, and snow pea shoots sautéed with garlic.“

“Incredibly delicious roasted meats, al-dente wanton noodles, flavorful soup and generous portions! There are no menus hanging on the walls so it may feel intimidating at first. The staff don't seem to speak english either, but if you talk to the friendly lady and ask for the menu, she speaks basic english and you just have to point to the item you want. I recommend the roasted duck noodles. Would definitely go out of my way to come back to Kam PO Kitchen!“

“My family went here a few months ago. We got the peking duck and jellyfish; at least those were the standouts several months later. We haven't been to SF nor Chinatown before, but we picked this place. The waiters were incredibly nice, telling us about various dishes etc. The food came out promptly (though we ordered for about 8 people). I enjoyed it enough to always want to write them a review, I finally got around to doing it. It's a recommend from me.“

“Peking duck superb. Perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Royal lamb on brazier good but not exceptional. Beef in pancakes good but a mistake after so many pancakes with duck. Pea shoots perfect. Food came quickly. Price reasonable — $83 each including 20% tip.“

“A hidden gem, food was really good and arrived fast, really filling and budget friendly.Because the place is kinda hidden in a building, it was a little empty but the service and atmosphere was really nice.We ordered a beef chow fun, a garlic chicken dish (?) and assorted appetizers. The beef chow fun was so good we could have called it the best affordable in town, the beef is tender and tasty and the flat noodles are nicely sauced; the garlic chicken dish was our least favorite because of the amount of vegetables which we weren't a fan of, the assorted appetizers was a good sharing plate with a little of every appetizer, each tasty in their own way. The waitress was patient and really nice. The street it's located in has a bunch of stuff to do and more things a few streets away as well. We had a really nice time at the restaurant and afterwards as well.recommended.“

“The food is excellent, the service is what you might expect at an extremely busy dim sum restaurant. Short & not always kind but efficient none the less. They can accommodate a large party & that’s the only way to eat dim sum!“

“I recently moved and am trying to support local businesses in the neighborhood. While bummed that my favorite Chinese restaurant doesn't deliver to this side of town, I was happy to learn that Green Bamboo does, and it's still family owned and operated; including DELIVERY! I'd started my order via Yelp, but the price was outrageous, so I called the restaurant, and the owner told me she does deliver and even mentioned some of my neighbors who she delivers to! I haven't been to the restaurant in many years, but used to eat at Green Bamboo many years ago. I kept it simple, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable rice and spring rolls. The sween and sour chicken was not to my liking, there was a metalic taste to the sauce and pineapple, and it was not as crispy as I like. The vegetable fried rice was delicious! There were a lot of good sized pieces of veggies in the rice and it was flavorful. The spring rolls were crispy and the filling was fresh and delicious! The bonus fifth star is because they personally deliver your food, it's not a second or third party/business. The owner was so kind when she arrived, she wore a mask (I appreciate covid or any health safety practices from restaurants or delivery people) and she recognized me from years ago. Great customer service and I'll order again.“

“Was looking for some good Chinese locally for lunch and this place was a great find! Super polite owners, fast service, and overall good food. This review is based off pickup but every lunch plate to go has been consistently good. Comes with fried rice and noodles and choice of main entree. I've had a few chicken options and all were good, portions are generous too.“

“They have special dishes. I have tried two items. One is rib rice. The other is eel rice. The eel rice was of wooden ear mushroom, orange peel to flavor it, Chinese preserved sausage and eel shreds. Very special item. I like it. It’s very folky. I wouldn’t have tried it if it’s not for them.“

“This spot's Chinese food is my go-to remedy for homesickness. Coming from New York, it's the closest I've found here that reminds me of home. San Francisco has fantastic Chinese food, but it's a whole different vibe from what I grew up with. The idea of not being provided duck sauce is insane! I've gotten over it. The dumplings are spot-on, just how I like them. Not to mention, after a satisfying meal, your belly's full, but you've got all the energy in the world - no post-feast sleepiness. It's the sweetest family-owned place, generous portions, and the taste is top-notch. The restaurant is a hole in a wall type place but that's what makes it cool. It is clean and quiet so you eat in peace.“
“First time I've been to a restaurant that's changed its name every year! Happy to see yelp had the most updated name for it. This place is cash only and hands down has had the best bang for its buck. We did family style and got four dishes for four for $18 dollars each. And the food was tasty, different, not drowning in MSG and healthy IMO. The lotus root was my pick. It's quiet and dark but if their door is open they are open, treat yourself to a deal.“

“You know you came here for the noodles, so don’t complain about the service or the waitress not asking how your day went. The wontons are good but the dumplings are even better. Their beef brisket over noodles are very good. The pork kidney and liver is also my favorite.“

“This is my go-to spot for Chinese delivery. Every time the food is plentiful, fresh, not greasy, and just plain great! The Crab Rangoons are sometimes too sweet, but otherwise I love anything I order from here, with plenty of left over meals for lunches to take to work. I've, admittedly, never dined in. Delivery is always quick, with the food being piping hot. Call the restaurant direct for delivery versus using a delivery app and support small business.“

“Best Chinese food in Marin County, fresh, affordable, cheerful spot for dining in or takeout. And they will make adjustments, more or less spicy, salty, oily. We have been customers for over 15 years and counting. Favorites include Mongolian Beef, String bean fish, eggplant chicken, salt and pepper shrimp. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. There is a garden patio out back. Highly recommended!“
