“this is my favorite sushi place and i have lived in the bay area my whole life. they have the BEST ginger dressing in the world. i even use it to dip my sushi in. the chef johneth is very nice and knowledgeable, he even walked me through how he hand makes the dressing so i can do it at home! love the atmosphere, indoor, outdoor and bar seating. small, cute, clean, comfortable and overall nice.“

“Wanted to grab some grub after work and this bento spot has been on my bucket list for a minute. It was also on the way home and I was hungry so here I am.

I ordered the chicken katsu bento and the salmon in truffle soy bento. I also ordered an iced matcha latte. The bentos were soo good! I also really liked how well they were plated. I took my bentos and ate it at home. There is very little seating inside however there is a park nearby where you can sit and enjoy your bentos. As for the matcha drink, it was solid

The service here was good too. The staff is really nice and very open to answering any questions about the menu. You can call in and order or you can order inside on their iPad.

This is definitely a spot I recommend checking out if you're looking for high quality bentos. Try it out if you like. :)“

“Nice little spot! Emphasis on little. Went in, was the only diner for a while until a few other folks came in. Sat at the counter that had a convenient foot bar. Staff was attentive. The music was really calming too.
Ordered the duck breast ramen for 1$18 and it was so good! Great flavors! Was so excited to eat, I burned my tongue a little🥲 Didn’t try any sushi, but if you’re looking for a ramen fix, you won’t be disappointed!“

“Did a last minute date night dinner here, we ordered the Chef Choice's Nigiri and Sashimi and added a Foggy Paradise roll. All of it was fantastic. They were super accommodating regarding a shellfish allergy and provided great detail on each fish for our Omakase.“

Everything was delicious—especially the tempura, which was perfectly crispy and full of flavor 🍤. The seaweed wrapping the rice and handrolls was unbelievably fresh and crunchy—I’ve never had anything like it! The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The sake and wine selection is excellent, too.

“Staff were all really nice. Food was excellent. The sushi is a bit on the pricier side and I'm not cool enough to be able to tell the difference between a $15+ roll and a $10 roll. The miso soup was probably the best I've ever had.“

I had high expectations because of the good ratings, but it was a bit more disappointing than I expected. However, when I revisited it, it was different.

“We had the most wonderful dinner tonight at Noren Izakaya! Everything was fantastic from start to finish! From the service to the cocktails to the variety of food, to the dessert! “Tokyo Express, back in the early 2010's, used to be really popular with a line during lunchtime. Some of my old co-workers used to enjoy coming here. Business has sure when downhill since the pandemic. There was only one other table occupied at lunch time on a Wednesday. The staff was really busy however packing up to-go orders. I had their Wednesday special, the tonkatsu $13. The pork fillet was a bit dry and not juicy, tender and properly cooked. The panko had a nice crunch. It did come with an alright tonkatsu sauce. With this dish, it should come with shredded cabbage served with a miso-ginger dressing or Japanese sesame dressing, but it didn't come with it. Since this is not an authentic Japanese restaurant, I didn't knock off stars for that. Service was non-existent as this is an order at the counter style restaurant and no tea or water was served. There was a free cup of miso soup and my food came out in a reasonable amount of time.“

“Dinner started off strong with flavorful chicken and beef skewers, and the salmon kama was a highlight—perfectly cooked and delicious.

The rolls were less impressive. The Rock & Roll and Spider rolls were drenched in eel sauce, which overpowered everything. I’m always a bit cautious when sushi comes heavily sauced—it feels like something’s being covered up. The sushi rice was also a bit soggy.

The uni, saba, and hamachi sushi were all fresh and enjoyable, though the uni portions were smaller than expected.

Bill came out to over $150. A little pricey for what we got, but with smarter ordering, I’d give it another try.

“Good food, good service, clean atmosphere.

The sushi was good. I wasn't a huge fan of HOW you order the all you can eat sushi. It wall just kinda came out all at once and it was hard to tell what was what. Some stuff like spicy tuna or salmon were easy or anything with cream cheese. But I suppose we could have just ordered it differently or they could have given each guest their own individual order sheet.

Yessie O took great care of us, checked in frequently, was making jokes about us ordering more even though we had more than enough, and regularly taking empty plates.

They have an excellent wide selection of delicious sushi and sashimi along with their main set dinners to choose from. I have found the salmon teriyaki dinner has become a perfect simple always tasty dinner meal that I love every time I order it!“

“Got lunch with a couple other people. There were lots good options but if you want to pick from everything get there when they open. I got a hand roll and a teriyaki salmon bowl and shared the special roll. I liked the hand roll the best and also enjoyed the cabbage in the teriyaki bowl. The special roll was just shrimp tempura topped with imitation crab, some sauces, and roe. I plan to try another roll next time I go there. It’s a pretty tight space and you have to go some else to eat it. Great place to grab something quickly and get back to work“

“The cocktails on the menu are like a culinary experience. It’s very experimental. I’m not one to love savory drinks usually but I’ll say that bar iris executed its savory drinks well. The Ninjin Sour’s coriander taste is quite on the tongue, and it feels like I’m drinking a dinner. That said, I find it a very balanced drink. The menu also has less experimental and culinary flavors. I also got the Third Wheel (pictured), which is a matcha based drink and was super refreshing. It came in with a tea cup and that made it a bit more special.“

“I have been here 3x now and have had great food and great service. Mix and match Bento Box and Tempura are fresh. Everyone else around me always gets Sushi and I hear them say how good it is (I have not been adventurous enough to try Sushi). It is on Pine and Grant, extremely clean and nice view of Chinatown. “Found Sushi Tri while looking for ramen spots in Novato, but went for the sushi and wasn't disappointed. Went to dinner with our younger children(5+7), and there were other families there. Great menu selection with good prices, and quick turnaround on sushi dishes.“
