“Me and my best friend were craving Thai and decided to come here randomly. The food was amazing!! We had drunken noodles with beef and the flavors were so good and the beef was so soft and tender. We know the papaya salad is traditional Thai dish and wanted to try for the longest time. It’s so refreshing and delicious. It has a spice to it which I love. Thai tea was amazing too, a little too sweet for my liking but still 10/10. Will be coming back to try more ! Staff were so nice. :)“

“I've been eating this restaurant A 15+ year Torrance staple! Japanese-owned with authentic Chuka Ryori (rice dishes), they still serve all the original classics, and the ramen is better than ever.

While the wok dishes are nearly as good as they were historically, everything is still great and worth ordering.

* Mabo Yakisoba / Mabo Rice (Yakisoba is the clear winner!)
* Kanitama Chahan (crab omelet over fried rice with sweet and sour glaze)

Highly recommended for both newcomers and returning regulars. The crowd is a great mix of local Japanese regulars and people of every background, which speaks to how universally approachable and comforting the menu is. It remains our family's opinion that this is the best Japanese restaurant in Torrance and Carson!

“Josui is the most authentic tasting Japanese ramen restaurant I’ve found in Torrance. My personal favorite is the Abura Soba, especially in the warm summer months, but the Josui ramen both with and without garlic is fantastic. My co-workers go nuts for the Tan-tan men.

I tried the satay shrimp for the first time after a regular suggested it to me. Omg it was so good! Seriously, I might be hooked.

It's also worth mentioning that the egg rolls are a must every single time. ALWAYS Hot, crispy, and delicious!!!

The veggies they bring out with the pho are always fresh and crisp and the perfect portions. It's the ultimate comfort food on any day!!!

“Consistent food quality and portions. Clean and the tables have enough space to order multiple things (unlike Yard House). I live near here so I walk and for that reason I know the parking situation is not the restaurants fault. It's very difficult to find parking so I recommend carpooling. The broths have plenty of flavor, the meat is not thin. I recommend for parties up to 4 since the restaurant usually has people dining in. Overall I hope this restaurant survives the economy since it's worth wanting a restaurant experience.“

There dishes could include more varieties of vegetables but if you ask they can accommodate but for example instead of drunken noodles just having pepper and basil leave it could include multiple vegetables like baby corn, carrots, peppers and broccoli. “We came here for lunch. We had cha gio, pho ga and com tam dac biet.

We were welcomed with a smile and I think the proprietoress took our order. She was so nice. Our food came out quickly.

During our meal we saw her talk to all the customers sitting. And all the customers who came in for pick up. It seems this is a favorite neighborhood spot. Everyone loved her and she in turn loved them back. It made the atmosphere so cheerful.

She talked to us and she smiled and laughed. I would come back just to speak to her and eat cheap, great food.

“We had a great experience! I knew the food was going to be good as soon as the owner mentioned he also used to own a restaurant in Portland back in the days. And it was!

We ordered the green beans with tofu, chicken larb, crying tiger, tom yum soup, crab fried rice (real crab!!!), and mango sticky rice. You could really taste each dishes distinct flavor!

“Lately, I’ve been very into kimbap. However, I can be pretty picky about it in terms of what’s inside. There’s sooooo many options for what kind of kimbap you want. For me, I’m really into the beef kimbap. Kimbap Paradise has the best beef kimbap, in my opinion.

The restaurant is located in Torrance, super close to my home. It’s in a busy shopping center so there’s plenty of parking. I easily just call in my order and pick it up. It’s usually ready within 10/15 mins depending on how busy they are. I never dined in, but there’s lost of seating inside to do so. If you’re not a kimbap fan, they have many other Korean dishes to choose from.“

I overheard another table also commenting on their wait time for food. Other than that, the food was delicious and the service was fine. The restaurant is pretty old and dingy but I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, I was just there for some food to treat my homesickness.

The salaw machu kreung and the prahok sauce was really good. The frog was alright tbh, I guess I’m not used to it being prepared in that way. “This is one of my favorite restaurants in the South Bay! My son and I come here at least twice a week. The food is delicious, fresh, and healthy. Our favorite dishes are green curry with chicken and pad c-ew. Another plus is this Thai restaurant doesn’t use MSG!“
