“My wife Lisa and I went to multiple wineries during our recent trip to Napa and all had something worthwhile to share, but Darioush stood out for the following reasons:
1. The wine was the best tasting. In many wineries, there’s lots of good wine to sip, but it’s rare to finish all of the samples. At Darioush, the wine was so delicious I couldn’t help finishing every drop. Every single one was fantastic, and we bought bottles of the Viognier and the Shiraz to take home with us.
2. The sommelier, Mark, was one of the friendliest and certainly the most knowledgeable guide we met. He spent lots of time with us, showed us around, and taught us an amazing amount of information. We wanted to tip him, but company policy stated that we couldn’t! The company has high ethics.
3. The owner, Mr. Darioush, is a truly remarkable human being. He accomplished very much with his life, both in Iran (his original home) and in the US (where he had to start from scratch to build his successful business). But he’s not only a good businessman; he’s also an honorable person who does good for others. Though we didn’t have the good fortune of meeting him in person, Mark gave us a beautiful description of him.

“My Wife and I had an outstanding experience in the tasting room with Alvaro after just coming across it on our honeymoon, Alvaro tailored the wine tasting around us and chatted with us about wine showing his extensive knowledge and educating us in a lot of different aspects about wineyards and how the wine is made. We bought a bottle of the 2018 Cabernet sauvignon which is an amazing wine. We can't wait to come back!“
“Out of all of the wineries/vineyards we visited, we got the best education from B Cellars. Forest was a wealth of fascinating information about how wine is made. While we enjoyed our tasty charcuterie spread with our tastings, he showed us maps of all of the vineyards in the valley and explained the importance of the location of where a grape comes from. Our private tour of this stunning winery also included the caves, their gardens, honey bees, and it's production facility-all meticulously maintained. Wonderful experience.“
“ZD has become my wife's favorite winery and today we celebrated our brother in law's birthday with an afternoon tasting. As always the service (huge shout out to Samantha for her amazing service and kindness), wine and calming ambience were 5 stars. “One of our favorites while visiting Napa! Charlie from Hagafen did a complimentary tasting at our bed and breakfast in Yountville. We loved the Pinot Noir and knew we wanted to try more. Walked into the Hagafen Cellars on a Friday afternoon and Charlie was able to help us again and give us an above and beyond experience. Would recommend the Hagafen Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc!“
“They know how to and take the time to leave a great impression of their winery. They were most approachable and informative. I admire their reserved description of the Paris blind tasting event which placed CA wines on the world map of admired and celebrated wines. There was no elitist attitude, just great wines. This is the kind of wine and attitude I will support with money.
I truly hope your experience will be as memorable as mine. Even if your experience is less than stellar, the wines by themselves are superb.

“Hands down best winery in the Napa Valley. We’ve done tastings at over 50 wineries in the area and none come close to the hospitality, friendliness, and overall relaxing vibe at Clos. Their Decades tasting is an experience on its own, having the opportunity to taste old vintages you wouldn’t otherwise have without spending hundreds of dollars on a bottle. Aaron, Sara and Lupita are very knowledgeable and personable when conducting the tastings. We became members after our first visit without any pressure to join or buy additional bottles. We are greeted warmly and made to feel like we are at home every time we visit.“

“My first visit to Reynolds Family Winery after a recommendation from Cowboy Somm. I visited alone, they sat me outside in perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful setting and views. My host, Janie, was incredible we talked all about the wine and the Napa Valley. Visiting alone she made it really fun with great conversation. The wines were very enjoyable. Reynolds family is worth the visit and ask for Janie.

“We absolutely loved this winery. 12 out of 10. It’s beautiful and the staff is so welcoming and sweet and incredibly knowledgeable. Neil was our “wine tour guide” and honestly he was so good he ruined the rest of our trip because nothing else could compare! Ha. So maybe do this winery last! It’s that good!“

“We’ve visited dozens of wineries in the valley and were very impressed with the hospitality and the varietals here. The tasting room itself feels bright, airy, and spacious. Grounds are well kept and beautiful. They have an impressive selection for a small production winery. Excellent winemaker (IYKYK) and really exceptional service. Both Bradley and Anis went above and beyond the typical tasting room experience in terms of professionalism and attentiveness. Eleven Eleven is also privately owned and female owned which is a rarity in the valley these days. We particularly enjoyed their sauv blanc, malbec, syrah and cab sauv. Our tasting included a perfectly portioned cheese, charcuterie and chocolate pairing which is just a nice touch and great value. We witnessed a proposal during our tasting and it was impressive to see the staff orchestrate so many moving parts to make it happen. Highly recommend.“
“We left in tears with how special this experience was for us. Patty, our host, treated us like we were lifelong friends. She took the time to treat us to the history of the winery, and show us how everything is made as well. The property itself is stunning; it's more akin to a work of living art than your standard winery.
We had the food pairing tasting experience, and boy were we satisfied. The food paired excellently with the wine that was served and that is a grotesque understatement. I myself am not particularly fond of reds, but I was prepared to branch out as Quixote specializes in Petite Sirahs. I can no longer say I do not enjoy reds. I was stunned by the taste, presentation, and how well everything combined. Patty guided us through in an unpretentious way; we discussed wine, reality TV, travel recommendations, Paris, all things Napa, and more. We left feeling like we just came from the best lunch of our life with friends we haven't seen in a long time.
I cannot recommend this experience enough. Not only was the wine and tasting incredible, but the story of the winery is fascinating, the environment is spectacular, and you will leave with a friend in Patty as your host (and hopefully some bottles to ship home). “It is literally a winery paid for by Capcom. I'm not joking. This is probably where Ken Masters would live after years of shinryukens.
I know this is a stretch to ask but I would have love to have bought kenzo/Capcom merchandise but was unable to find any. Hopefully they are available when I visit again!“
“Recommend the ATV wine tasting, ask for Steve!! He listens to what you like during the first few splashes and curates the rest of the tasting a little based on it :) we loved our experience and left with some of the estate grown Malbec — delicious“

Cam gave us a fun tour of the gardens, patiently answered our many questions and generously shared his knowledge about the gardens, the wine and the breathtaking property. “This was the last winery we toured while in Napa and it did not disappoint!
Upon entrance in their main building you’re greeted with friendly staff and served a glass of wine (which we ended up buying one of these bottles because it was so good) and were then paired up with two other couples (from NJ and IL) and our host, Simon.
Simon made this tour exceptional! He was friendly, informative and most of all his personality is what made all 6 of wanting to spend the rest of the afternoon there chatting and having fun.
The wines we tasted progressively got better and better. The caves were impressive and learning about the history was great.
After the tour we sat down in their patio which was equally impressive with all the arches with vines growing throughout. It was absolutely beautiful! They served our group our pizza (which they asked what we would like before the tour) and some tater tots with dipping sauce. This food was icing on the cake after the wonderful tour with our outstanding host, Simon.
Yep, we ended up having a few bottles shipped home as we loved this wine so much. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

“My best friend and I were lucky enough to have a tour and tasting with David N during our visit a month ago. He was so welcoming and knowledgeable! Our visit was a perfect mix of learning about the property and its history, the wines and unique location in the valley, and just enjoying the beautiful setting. David was the perfect host and balanced education with relaxation; giving us the right amount of information with space to sit and drink our wines. David made our visit truly special and it was our favorite tasting of the trip. I was so impressed, i joined the wine club before we left. “Terrific experience. Great host, great wine, great food, very informative. The only thing that stood out was we were reprimanded for taking photos with a state of the art camera that flys and they thought it was a drone and were spying. Kinda an awkward moment but then that, we would definitely go back but just take our Polaroid instead! 😆“
