“Sequoia Grove was terrific, highly recommend. Their wines are delicious and their outdoor patio seating is so peaceful. “I rarely leave reviews, but feel compelled to do so for this outstanding winery. The wines here (especially the cabs) are complex, mysterious, and above all, delicious. In fact they’re so interesting and subtle that describing them by tasting notes is virtually impossible. And the hospitality…to say that it is extraordinary would be an understatement. “My wife Lisa and I went to multiple wineries during our recent trip to Napa and all had something worthwhile to share, but Darioush stood out for the following reasons:
1. The wine was the best tasting. In many wineries, there’s lots of good wine to sip, but it’s rare to finish all of the samples. At Darioush, the wine was so delicious I couldn’t help finishing every drop. Every single one was fantastic, and we bought bottles of the Viognier and the Shiraz to take home with us.
2. The sommelier, Mark, was one of the friendliest and certainly the most knowledgeable guide we met. He spent lots of time with us, showed us around, and taught us an amazing amount of information. We wanted to tip him, but company policy stated that we couldn’t! The company has high ethics.
3. The owner, Mr. Darioush, is a truly remarkable human being. He accomplished very much with his life, both in Iran (his original home) and in the US (where he had to start from scratch to build his successful business). But he’s not only a good businessman; he’s also an honorable person who does good for others. Though we didn’t have the good fortune of meeting him in person, Mark gave us a beautiful description of him.

“Out of all of the wineries/vineyards we visited, we got the best education from B Cellars. Forest was a wealth of fascinating information about how wine is made. While we enjoyed our tasty charcuterie spread with our tastings, he showed us maps of all of the vineyards in the valley and explained the importance of the location of where a grape comes from. Our private tour of this stunning winery also included the caves, their gardens, honey bees, and it's production facility-all meticulously maintained. Wonderful experience.“
“Vintner's Collective is one of the oldest and best tasting rooms in downtown Napa along with Alpha Omega's tasting room. This establishment serves up a collection of tastings from smaller vineyards in the Napa / Sonoma Valley area. I walked out with a couple of amazing bottles of Cabernet!“
“ZD was my favorite experience on my recent trip to Napa. The views from the tasting room are idyllic, the wine is phenomenal, and the service is first class. Our host Sam was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about the history of the winery, their wine making process, as well as the various labels they offer. Sam made everyone in my group feel right at home and was able to cater to each persons level of wine knowledge from introductory to expert.“

“We booked a tasting for my birthday and enjoyed every minute of it. Not too busy and the outdoor patio had plenty of shading. The tour was very informative and we didn’t feel rushed but truly welcomed and learned about the vineyard. Beautiful inside and outside and I would definitely recommend!“
“Classic yet elegant! Top drawer wines and experiences! We attended a Cellar 47 tasting! Steve is a very well educated and personable tour guide! In addition to a large selection of high quality wines. The cave tunnels were fun and our taste for cheese etc was hidden away in a private luxury area! We also learned a lot! We become members because there are great benefits to being a member!“
“They know how to and take the time to leave a great impression of their winery. They were most approachable and informative. I admire their reserved description of the Paris blind tasting event which placed CA wines on the world map of admired and celebrated wines. There was no elitist attitude, just great wines. This is the kind of wine and attitude I will support with money.
I truly hope your experience will be as memorable as mine. Even if your experience is less than stellar, the wines by themselves are superb.

“One of our favorites while visiting Napa! Charlie from Hagafen did a complimentary tasting at our bed and breakfast in Yountville. We loved the Pinot Noir and knew we wanted to try more. Walked into the Hagafen Cellars on a Friday afternoon and Charlie was able to help us again and give us an above and beyond experience. Would recommend the Hagafen Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc!“

“Hands down best winery in the Napa Valley. We’ve done tastings at over 50 wineries in the area and none come close to the hospitality, friendliness, and overall relaxing vibe at Clos. Their Decades tasting is an experience on its own, having the opportunity to taste old vintages you wouldn’t otherwise have without spending hundreds of dollars on a bottle. Aaron, Sara and Lupita are very knowledgeable and personable when conducting the tastings. We became members after our first visit without any pressure to join or buy additional bottles. We are greeted warmly and made to feel like we are at home every time we visit.“

“We had the best time this week with some friends visiting from out of the country. Bradley was an incredible host, the tasting was generous, the wine fabulous, and the ambience amazing. It has set a high bar for wine tastings. Highly highly recommend. We went with 4 young-ish kids, and Bradley made them feel very welcome. Bring iPads for the kids - you’ll want to stay a while. We’ll be back!“
“Recommend the ATV wine tasting, ask for Steve!! He listens to what you like during the first few splashes and curates the rest of the tasting a little based on it :) we loved our experience and left with some of the estate grown Malbec — delicious“

She made us feel totally at ease and brought the whole experience to life. The wines were fantastic, the food pairings were spot on, and the setting was beautiful. I’d come back just to see Celeste again and do another tasting with a bigger group. Highly recommend if you’re in Napa and make sure you ask for Celeste!“

“My first visit to Reynolds Family Winery after a recommendation from Cowboy Somm. I visited alone, they sat me outside in perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful setting and views. My host, Janie, was incredible we talked all about the wine and the Napa Valley. Visiting alone she made it really fun with great conversation. The wines were very enjoyable. Reynolds family is worth the visit and ask for Janie.

“Fabulous wine, friendly atmosphere, and warm welcoming staff. It was perfect! Well, almost perfect. The tasting description states wine to be paired with cheese and charcuterie. We got a little cheese, but no charcuterie. A minor point, but still a bit of a disappointment.“
“We left in tears with how special this experience was for us. Patty, our host, treated us like we were lifelong friends. She took the time to treat us to the history of the winery, and show us how everything is made as well. The property itself is stunning; it's more akin to a work of living art than your standard winery.
We had the food pairing tasting experience, and boy were we satisfied. The food paired excellently with the wine that was served and that is a grotesque understatement. I myself am not particularly fond of reds, but I was prepared to branch out as Quixote specializes in Petite Sirahs. I can no longer say I do not enjoy reds. I was stunned by the taste, presentation, and how well everything combined. Patty guided us through in an unpretentious way; we discussed wine, reality TV, travel recommendations, Paris, all things Napa, and more. We left feeling like we just came from the best lunch of our life with friends we haven't seen in a long time.
I cannot recommend this experience enough. Not only was the wine and tasting incredible, but the story of the winery is fascinating, the environment is spectacular, and you will leave with a friend in Patty as your host (and hopefully some bottles to ship home). “Manager treated us like royalty. Not the usual Napa pretentious hard sell. Relaxed, friendly, funny, and cool. And yes, we bought 5 bottles. The cheese plate is also a great added value and delicious.“
“This was the last winery we toured while in Napa and it did not disappoint!
Upon entrance in their main building you’re greeted with friendly staff and served a glass of wine (which we ended up buying one of these bottles because it was so good) and were then paired up with two other couples (from NJ and IL) and our host, Simon.
Simon made this tour exceptional! He was friendly, informative and most of all his personality is what made all 6 of wanting to spend the rest of the afternoon there chatting and having fun.
The wines we tasted progressively got better and better. The caves were impressive and learning about the history was great.
After the tour we sat down in their patio which was equally impressive with all the arches with vines growing throughout. It was absolutely beautiful! They served our group our pizza (which they asked what we would like before the tour) and some tater tots with dipping sauce. This food was icing on the cake after the wonderful tour with our outstanding host, Simon.
Yep, we ended up having a few bottles shipped home as we loved this wine so much. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

Our visit was a perfect mix of learning about the property and its history, the wines and unique location in the valley, and just enjoying the beautiful setting.
