“I took my husband for Father’s Day brunch/lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant here in the Palisades and as always it did not disappoint. It never does. He loved his steak and eggs, steak was Devine and I loved my chick pea soup. Always have the panne cotta and the cherry gelato and an espresso in their delightful patio and you’ve been to Italy!“

“This is definitely one of the oldest and nicest place in LA to offer good food next to a public and accessible beach.
One of the best time to go is by mid-afternoon as it’s less crowded and in the winter you can enjoy the sunset by 5pm. They do offer a lot of seafood dishes from the traditional clams chowder to the lovely lobster roll. For the kids they have a couple off-menu options such as a special kids fish n chips.
Definitely a great spot that I recommend for brunch and afternoon drinks and snacks.

Parking: They have a 13$ valet as well as a public parking available

Kid-friendliness: Next to the beach this is a great spot to enjoy a bite while the little ones are running on the beach

“I had a wonderful birthday experience! Kevin made me feel truly welcomed and celebrated. The food was excellent — I especially enjoyed the calamari. I was surprised with a birthday dessert and candle, and the chef, Whitney, even came out to greet us with a rose and champagne. It was such a thoughtful touch. I would definitely come again!“

“Amazing food! I haven’t had a good meal like that in a while! I recently checked out some of the well rated restaurants in LA, such as RVR and I have to say this is hands down superior. The food, the vibe, and the server was also very attentive and friendly. The portions are very small and I felt like for the price, they could be a little larger.

Highly recommend and will go again!

The food is really delicious
Cocktails are also delicious.
There is some cilantro in the pasta, but even I, who can't eat cilantro, can eat it comfortably, but if you don't like it so much, you will have to ask for it to be left out.
But when I went, there was a karaoke stage going on, so the atmosphere felt like a place where old men sing.
I think it would have been really nice if there were jazz or country songs.
I recommend it because I think the food will suit Korean tastes well.“

“I love this little spot as my family is from Cape Cod so I love lobster 🦞 and the lobster grilled cheese and tomato soup is amazing, WiFi is so so and the booths are comfortable and it’s very expensive yet it is lobster after all. I even fixed the guest toilet you would think the bartender would of offered me a free drink or one of those tasty dessert 🧁“

“It’s no exaggeration to say this is one of my favorite places to buy seafood of all time. I grew up in Boston eating seafood, lived in Seattle eating seafood, and used to shop at Santa Monica seafood (no shade to them, they’re a solid choice). The only downside is this place is tiny so it’s on-the-shelf selection is limited. But it’s seriously good at very reasonable prices. Plus, if you want to secure something in advance they’ll arrange it for you. Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable folks!“

“We come here at least once a month. My usual go to is the mojarra frita, the seafood soup, the oysters and one of the shrimp dishes.

I really like the tostalitos with shrimp and octopus ceviche but that dish along with the other ceviche dishes including the new sashimi dish all have too much salt. Recommend ordering a side order of rice with any ceviche order to counter the salt.“

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. When we got to Santa Monica, we looked up restaurants to go have our 26 year anniversary dinner, we stayed at Hotel Delmar right across the street. We googled the restaurant menu, and decided what we were going to have. when we got there, and they brought out the menus, all what we decided to have was not on there. I was crushed. Because I had my mind set on the Halibut. I said it's ok I will just have the Ribeye, mind you I had a ribeye steak the night before. When the waiter came back, my wife asked if it's possible to get the Halibut and he said let me check with the chef. He came back later and said the chef said it's no problem. I was blown away. That was the best Halibut ( besides mine) that I have ever had. Thank you chef Shawn. From one chef to another, thank you. you made my night.“

“My friend and I had lunch on Tuesday. We arrived there around noon, and there was no line yet! There is a large parking lot in front of the restaurant. If it’s full, there is additional parking underground. As soon as we placed our order and found a table for two, there was a line of people. The fish (grilled) was good!! Not dry at all!! I loved that there were so many hot sauces to choose from. I also enjoyed the roasted yellow peppers…!! they were meaty and not spicy. Since I ordered a combo, I picked their hibiscus tea, which was tart and sweet, just the way I like it! I will definitely go back to try other items.“

“The best lobster roll I have ever had. The lobster is so fresh and abundant on the sandwiches. The brioche roll is scrumptious too and perfectly compliments the lobster. Unlike most lobster rolls where the lobster is hidden with condiments, these rolls are all about the lobster. The staff are super friendly and you can tell they enjoy working here.“
