“My favorite items are the Charred corn elote appetizer. I could have two of these. It’s fantastic. I also love the arroz con pollo!!!!! ? quick tip, if you’re ordering ahead to go, they make the arroz con pollo for 6 people for 96 dollars. I also love their ceviche. Their service is amazing too!!!! Now all they need is some live music.“

“If you don't like flavor; don't dine at Esperanza! Every bite was an explosion of goodness. Our waiter was attentive, an awesome spirit, and knew the menu. His recommendations met with our approval. Esperanza exceeded our expectations. Will dine here again.“

“This Guidados location is fairly new. We've also been to their Boyle heights location. Prefer the outside seating at the new location. The choice of tacos is extensive! I recommend the sampler.
Vegetarian options: Veggies are the substitute for meat.“

“It's a nice little spot in San Pedro. The staff makes customers feel welcome and even offers a botana free while you wait. There is a wait, but it's for good reason, they're making your food from scratch. We had a pupusa de chicharron con queso, pupusa de frijoles con queso and a taquitos plate. To drink, an agua of cucumber pineapple. The pupusas were delicious, great flavors. Taquitos were bland, not to our liking, we had high expectations though. So we were a bit bummed out. The Agua was a bit too sweet for my liking, but once ice starts melting, it's better.
Overall, I think this is Salvadoran owned (not sure) but I saw a flag and they're pupusas were delicious. I'd try the Salvadoran dishes there again, not sure about Mexican. Sorry, but overall, everything else was great, including the service.“

“This is now my favorite Mexican food place in LA area. The food is amazing, you can tell the folks that work here really take pride in making food like they're making it for their home. It is sooo good. And to sweeten it off, they even throw some sugar free chocolate treats in there for you.“

“Solid 4. Had a fun Saturday night with friends at this Mexican restaurant on Hermosa beaches boardwalk which was very busy and happening on Saturday. We sat outside in a semi booth with a fire pit which was very nice and cozy. The weather was great. The service was also great. We had their ceviche trio and guacamole for appetizers. They were great tasting but the ceviches was too small for all of us to get a good taste. I ordered the carnitas which the server also recommended. Unlike other places the meat is not shredded but rather is in pieces. It was good but as expected there were a few chucks of fat. It was a great deal at $28. My wife got the tostado which was huge. Overall the food was great. The ambiance is good too as long as you don’t mind the heavy rock music sound coming from across the street. This is quite a bit different than the Palmilla in Newport Beach which is more romantic.“

“Visited Mercado for the first time yesterday after working in this neighborhood for the last five years and I’m amazed as to why I didn’t find this little job sooner. I went there with three coworkers for dinner at 5 o’clock. It was a little early, but the restaurant was about 25% full already. It’s a great ambience both indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. They have a happy hour menu. We chose their Carnitas nachos which although small it is packed with Carnitas and full of flavor for main dish I chose their Carnitas big plate which was amazing and it came separately with tortillas. My coworkers picked tacos from their happy hour menu one picked their fish tacos, which he gave a five star rating and two of my coworkers picked their shrimp tacos, which they also gave five star rating and they said it was very flavorful for dessert. We had the churros that came with condensed milk and chocolate syrup, and it was well presented and really delicious And the server also served us complementary Agua Fresca and the flavor of the day was cantaloupe, which was really really delicious will be there again and our server was very pleasant and fast.
Parking: There are also EV chargers“

“Great local place for a quick bite. Friendly staff and down home Mexican cuisine. My go to place for a carne asada burrito and a breakfast burrito (better than Phanny's down the street)--and, surprisingly, good coffee to accompany the breakfast burrito.“

“So you take your kids to play at the splash pad at the mall and they always get hungry and then you run into this great place! I love birria and this place makes it perfectly. I've tried most of their birria menu and it's all really good - quesobirria and birria ramen are my favorites. Love the spicy salsa, too. Come and enjoy!“

“This was a cute little place to have dinner. I highly recommend having reservations in advance. The food served was delicious and generous in size. Although, I wanted to try their seafood, I ended up ordering the shredded chicken enchilada suizas. It was so good! There was so much food, I could only eat half and took the rest home. It was even more delicious the next day. Parking was a little difficult, but we weren't sure where it was okay to park.“

“Wonderful "old school" home-style dishes from Oaxaca. I could literally eat their mole amarillo every day for at least a month, and be happy. No-frills but pleasant ambiance. Excellent, efficient takeout if you call in your order! 3rd party apps like Doordsh don't usually pay attn to what's even on the current menu, and they bury small biz in fees. There's (limited but solid) parking out front. Highly recommend! So glad my cousin said they were the best Oaxacan in the area!“

“Homestyle, nothing is rushed here, everything made with love and pride! Something very hard to find these days, were everyone is money motivated rather than carrying on tradition and teachings of our elders. Please give this upcoming chef a chance. You won't regret it!!“

“I work in Torrance and wanted Mexican food, the ratings looked good, so I decided to stop on my way home. I’m so glad I did! The burrito was delicious. There were two people ahead of me, and the nice man working the whole restaurant was really hustling to ensure we all got our food as quickly as possible. I was genuinely very impressed with how good everything was, and will likely be stopping by often after having such a good experience. The prices are really good too- I think my burrito and a bottled water was like $13. This is a cash only establishment, so just be aware of that. I typically don’t carry cash, but happened to have some today so it all worked out really well.“

“Went in with good intentions for breakfast, but I was a little disappointed with the way my Green Chile burrito was maid. Was early in the morning not too many people. They gave it to me a little Luke cold, Green Chile was freshly made. The cheese was cold and did not melt. That makes the difference in a freshly made burrito. Put a little love in your product.“

“I ate here for the first time tonight and the food made me sad.
It made me sad that I have never been here before. I phoned in and ordered a chimichanga for pickup, which comes with a choice of soup or salad. The interior was clean and spacious, the staff were friendly. I got home and opened the bag to find they included a generous amount of chips. The chimichanga was smothered in red sauce and the shredded beef was seasoned amazingly. It came with a side of rice and beans, which I thought was excessive at first. Once I took a bite, I changed my mind. These were the best refried beans I've ever had! The salsa was also incredible. I opted for the soup, albondigas, which I saved for later as I cannot eat one more bite. This order can easily make for 2 servings, if you have any self control... I do not.“

“What a great lil place. Sophia was our server and quite the gem. The food is authentic and the place is definitely a locals favorite. My wife had two chicken enchiladas and I had the chicken enchilada and chile relleno. Both dishes were excellent. The vibe is positive and you can watch sports or even play lotto here. Great lil spot and the Don Julio Reposado and margaritas were terrific.
Recommended.“
