It’s a dog friendly restaurant but we wanted to be away from others with our young puppy.The food came fairly quickly, we highly recommend the Octopus Ceviche if you like octopus. I had the Wednesday Burrito special, and my wife had two tacos specials with Asadas. Both were delicious.Our server, Anthony, was prompt and friendly, multiple other servers stopped by multiple times made you feel welcome and made sure we have what we needed.Parking: Parking: a bit of hit and miss in this popular district, once you find a street parking spot, I recommend using the QR code and pay electronically, it’s relatively painless. Another person tried to mess with the meter and sometimes the screen is hard to read, especially under the sun.“
“Wow! The best marinated pork ribs! Come on down to Jin Ju. It isn't an all you can eat spot, but you can't beat the quality. My friend and I decided to try the prime beef and the marinated pork ribs (which is their speciality). Both meats were very delicious. They pretty much cook your food for you. The beef was cut into nice cubes. They were cooked at a perfect medium rare. The prok ribs were also cut into pieces, as well. There was a good selection of 10 types of banchan: fishcake (eomuk bokkeum), sesame broccoli, kimchi, potato salad, cucumber kimchi (sigeumchi-namul), stir-fried glass noodles (japchae), korean spinach, pickled onions, bean sprouts (kongnamul), pancake (yachaejeon), and radish kimchi (kkakdugi) . And honestly, this spot has one of the better quality banchan sides. The japchae had so much flavor, and the potato salad was also good. I appreciated that they offered the pickled onions, which goes really well with the marinated pork. My friend was also excited that they had korean spinach, which most places don't have at all. We also ordered the red pepper paste soup. It was so good! Rick and full of flavor. There's enough seating for 2-6 people to each table. It's not too big of a spot, so if you're trying to get away from the long lined spots - this is the spot to be. Service is quick and friendly. There is free parking in the lot if you're lucky. If not, you can find free street parking.“

However, we came in with a group of 6, and it may be their rules, but I found it frustrating that there weren't that many people in the restaurant but we couldn't put 2 tables together to make a larger table for our group, eventually after asking a few times we were able to move to a larger table where all 6 of us could sit together. Pretty cheap parking here as well, overall would go back but maybe in a smaller group.“

Authentic thai cuisine at very reasonable prices.Have eaten for a couple decades in Thai Town but only went to Siam Sunset a few years ago. This was the first place I've ever eaten pad kra pao & it has become my favorite Thai dish! And Siam easily makes it the best!Only knock is there's no on site parking, but street parking is usually not too tough depending on the day. Still it's worth the walk.Would give it six stars if it were possible.“

“Heard so much hype about Soban so I wanted to try it out. The inside was a lot smaller than expected so try to come when it's not busy or make a reservation before. The dishes were really flavorful and I totally understand why there's so much talk about Soban. I demolished the braised black code which was my favorite, and I'm not usually a big fan of fish. The flavor of the fish was to die for and even the veggies were cooked perfectly. The braised pork ribs were also good and the stew was probably my least favorite. The price is pretty hefty and I can't say it's worth the crazy price tag, all three dishes came out to be around $160 and the four of us shared the three dishes. I think less is more here because the banchan is also really good and fills you up. Service was a bit slow but maybe it's because I went during a slow time and there was only two staff in the front. Try it out if you love traditional Korean dishes and authentic flavors!“

Ordered the beef and 8 kinds of marinated pork belly set (Family Combo 2 that feeds 3-4 people) and this set came with a large stew hotpot also. We thought we would have to cook the meats but Casey, our awesome server came by and grilled the meats for us as we ate the grilled meats off the grill. A couple soju and beers and this made for probably the best meal on my cali trip?? The service, the marinated pork, and the stew was both filling and delish. You can't come here and get a pizza or a bowl of pasta or a cheese tray and eat it alone; that's just weird. You have to come with a group of friends, split a few entres, share a bottle of wine and chat and enjoy your dinner. There are like steaks and burgers and chicken sandwiches and stuff on the menu as well, and yeah you kinda can't those. These items are fine if you're stopping in for lunch by yourself or something, but I advise to skip these if you're on a date or with a group of people and just get a bunch of shareables. Pro tip: pasta dishes are smaller portions here now than they were about a year ago, but they're also cheaper than they were, so you get to order more and try more! Wait staff is amazing btw; they treat each table very well and I've never had a problem here.“

Yellow Cow was the place and we are sure glad we found this place. It wasn't crowded which my wife and I prefer and were seated immediately. We were greeted with such amazing genuine hospitality and service, that we knew we were in the right place. The gentlemen who first took our order was so kind and a absolute delight, I wish I had gotten his name. My wife and I ordered the prime brisket for our 2 options and the quality of the brisket was phenomenal, it also comes with fresh salad & complementary sides. The gentlemen who took our order were also kind enough to lay our meat down on the grill before we started to cook, which I thought was a nice touch of service. The ladies were so sweet and full of love that it was radiating off of them and made us feel so welcomed. When they would come around to our table they made sure we were ok and comfortable and asked how everything was. One of the ladies even gave us some recommendations on how we could incorporate the side dishes with the BBQ which we thought was very thoughtful and pleasant. All in all we are giving the Yellow Cow a 5-star due to everyone's effort, genuineness, service, ambiance & food. I highly recommend if you're looking for all the above. The garlic mince is slightly sweet and pairs nicely with the pork. I personally didn't enjoy the green onion bossam as much because it's topped with a fermented soybean sauce, and in my opinion, the meat tasted significantly more gamey.The kimchi stew was really tasty. The spice level was perfect for someone like me who often orders mild or no spice dishes. It had a kick without being painful. The only complaint I would have is that the pork was quite dry and chewy. Also, rice is not automatically served with and you need to request it.For the banchan, the radish kimchi was a highlight while the pasta salad was very disappointing (it kind of just tasted like whole wheat bread but in a pasta form).Our server did a great job despite being the only one working the front.Parking: A small to medium sized parking lot shared by all the stores in that mall.“

My "nihongo" is not great, but the woman who welcomed us was all smiles and when I mentioned how it was KINDA cold ("chotto samui desu") she laughed and immediately started to speak in Japanese* and told us to sit wherever we wanted. She worked mostly in the kitchen area, but also took orders, while another older woman took our order but she, too, was very friendly. (*no, they speak English, you don't have to speak Japanese :-D )My wife and I started with the Chili Garlic Edamame, which is served warm and the flavor of the sauce it comes in was very tasty. We couldn't finish these because we dove into our entree's, but reheating them, at home, we finished the rest! They give you quite a lot of them!My wife got the spicy ramen and, not having had curry in quite a while, I ordered the chicken katsu curry. I will say, I was subject to LOTS of cheap ramen for a couple years, in my twenties, and it turned me off of ANY ramen, going forward... However, first my wife offered me the pork that came in the soup and it was very flavorful and the broth was great (you actually get the spicy seasoning as a little "blob" you stir into the rest of the broth) once I tasted that. So, I went ahead and tried the ramen noodles and I think I MIGHT try my own bowl the next time I go. It doesn't hurt that it was a rainy day and it was so nice, inside their place, with the warm soup... ;-)My katsu curry was great.. They actually serve the plate as rice, the katsu chicken and a japanese salad (can't remember what the greens were called) and the curry is separate so you can pour as much at a time as you want.The flavor was rich, just a little sweet, but not like some "Curry House" places that make the sweet overtake the savory. “I live about 5 minutes from Sawtelle and Seoul House of Tofu is where I go when I am looking for quick and decent soon dubu without making a trek out to Ktown. When it comes to parking, the lot can be a bit of a nightmare due to the busy Sawtelle location, so I like going during the weekday when it's not so crazypants there. Walking in, the restaurant itself is chill. The food comes out quickly and the portions are generous enough. The quality of the food is also good, standard. I wouldn't say it's the best, most fantastic place, but it'll satisfy my cravings! The service is good and it's usually easy to find a seat, even when it's busy. The thing about Korean food on the westside is that it is freaking pricey!!! We ordered the pajeon (Korean pancake) and a galbi/soondubu combo. The pajeon was $17 (insane to me) and the combo meal was $30.. but HEY, they know there's a demand for it on the westside and can get away with those prices! My favorite part about dining on Sawtelle though is after my meal, I usually treat myself to some boba, ice cream, or egg pancakes (all of which are sold in the neighboring businesses). Despite the high prices and high-traffic area, I will likely come back to this restaurant many many times.“

“Soondae is the korean blood sausage and if you’ve been looking for a good soondae place, you’re probably going to like this one. The menu is simple, it’s either soondae plate or soups. If you want both, there’s a combo too( a small plate of soondae and soondae soup). I always get their spicy soondae soup. It has two different types of soondae, one is chewy (full of glass noodles) and the other is soft (mixed with vegetables), and some pork meats. It’s not that spicy by the way. They ask you if you want everything in your soup. If you prefer something different, you let them know. You don’t get many side dishes, but you’ll see why. The soup itself is so rich and thick with countless toppings. I get so full every time I finish the soup. Can’t eat anything after. ?“
