“Stunning Pastries That Look Like Art — Pizza Croissant Was the Star

If you’re looking for beautiful artisan pastries and creative croissants, this bakery is definitely worth visiting. The pastries look like edible art... the glazing, colors, and design are absolutely mesmerizing.
The service was excellent. One of the owners was there interacting with customers, which I really appreciated. It shows pride in the business and creates a welcoming atmosphere.
Flavorwise👀.. some pastries were fantastic while others looked better than they tasted for me. Here’s my honest ranking of the ones I tried:

1️⃣ Strawberry Croissant – 8/10
Light, fresh, and nicely balanced.
2️⃣ Strawberry Cream Pastry – 8/10
Soft texture and pleasant sweetness.
3️⃣ Raspberry cube Croissant – 10/10
Beautiful and delicious. One of the standouts.
4️⃣ Chocolate Croissant – 4/10
Looked great, but the flavor felt a little bland
5️⃣ mini heart Strawberry crossants- 8/10 Beautiful and delicious mini treat
6️⃣ Strawberry croissant – 5/10
Decent, but it didn’t leave a strong impression compared to the others...
7️⃣pistacho Croissant – 4/10
Beautiful glaze, but the flavor didn’t stand out much.
For drinks, I tried the hibiscus coffee that was recommended. I may have misunderstood the drink because I expected coffee with hibiscus syrup. Instead, it tasted more like a lightly carbonated hibiscus soda mixed with coffee, and it came across a bit watered down for my taste. It might just be the style of the drink, but it wasn’t quite what I expected when ordering coffee.
Overall, I walked out spending over $80 on pastries and coffee, so I was hoping for a bit more flavor to match the incredible presentation.
That said, the creativity, atmosphere, and service were wonderful, and the pizza croissant alone is worth coming back for. I’m looking forward to returning and trying more pastries and exploring more of the coffee menu.“

“We stopped here on our way to Monterey Bay and found it completely by chance, and we’re so glad we did! We ordered the Cajeta coffee and the Breakfast Burrito. The coffee was excellent, and the breakfast burrito was delicious, especially with the salsa. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and a great start to our day. If you’re passing through the area, this spot is definitely worth a stop.“

“Ive been coming here for years. Ive moved out of salinas 20 years ago and I still drive 40 minutes when I crave Chinese food. Ive tried other places closer to home but they lack what this location provides. Food is always fresh Always delicious and they have never skimp on portions. Its a family own business and they are always kind.“

“Decem and QQ gave us the BEST service we have EVER received. No exaggeration. They provided our group with such a wonderful experience and ALL of our food was amazing. We had chow mein, wings, Mongolian beef, sweet & sour chicken, rice, wor wonton soup, ginger tea, and the sesame seed dessert balls (I don’t remember what they were called). Above all, they treated us like family. We will absolutely be having more family dinners here. If you are reading reviews to see where you should go to eat this is THE place to go. P.S. “Great food and terrific pricing for these times! This is a special Taqueria truck that is parked consistently at Fourth Street and San Jose St. in San Juan Bautista. Good selection of items; my favorites are their burrito made with chili verde or their yummy tacos with choice of meat. As of now (12/2024),Taco Tuesday’s price is $1.50/taco (also 3-9 pm on Thursdays.)

“Great service from everyone. We had oysters, which you can order one at a time, so we ordered 4. They were pretty big. I had fish and chips while my friend had a crab cake with a side of fries. We also tried their Santa Cruz cider, which was a pomegranate cider. We also had their berry cobbler. Food was great, and the staff were extremely friendly. We will be back.“

“I was able to special order a Lemon Meringue pie and it was the best! It's hard to find a local bakery that makes lemon meringue pies. The crust was flaky, the lemon curd filling was not too tart, and the meringue was perfection! Everyone really enjoyed it! “I got the birra torta here and two tacos al pastor. The tacos were good but the torta was surprisingly delicious upon first bite due to the quality of the birria. The overall taste profile at this location is balanced and deep, meaning it is well-seasoned and flavorful without being excessive or greasy. It is food that can be eaten every day without feeling overloaded. It is also at a very nice location next to a park and lots of trees.

I randomly met the owner one day prior at an unrelated place, and I can see that there is a reason he confidently invited me to try his food, where his lovely wife operates the business and cooking! It is because he knows he can deliver a great food experience! Through word of mouth, I know that I am not the only one who liked the torta here.

There is quite an extensive menu, and I will definitely be back to try more items. I highly recommend the birria. Overall a great spot!“

“Taking a road trip up the coast and I finally got to stop here and eat/drink after enjoying some of their beers at home. It did not disappoint! Food was delicious, service in the beer garden was great, and as always the beer was on point. Had the Paloma Pizzazz which is good if you like grapefruit and their guest beer the Muddlin Forte was sooo good. The only negative was they were out of all their large t-shirts so I'll just have to go shopping online. Hope to be in the area again soon to try some more things.“

“Really affordable and super quick! There is very few choices on the menu and that’s a good thing order your hotdog and go. The dogs are really tasty and so the chili spend less than five bucks for a meal can’t find that many places.
