“From the moment we walked into the door to meet our friends, until the time we left feeling pretty good about our Friday night, Cocina de Barrio aced all of our expectations and more. The hosts were just so welcoming and made our out of town guests feel right at home. It was Happy Hour and the bartender grinded out some of THE BEST Cadillac Margaritas in town...and our party of 5 enjoyed many of them. It was obvious that the folks that work at this restaurant aren't lazy, forgetful, or lacked knowledge of their food, OH NO. These folks gloriously worked the entire restaurant as a team, and boy was it fabulous. Delicious fish tacos, grilled shrimp tacos and fresh ceviche, along with delectable braised ribs in mole sauce were served up with perfect timing, and as we enjoyed our dishes and drinks, our server Manuel, was like a Ninja - appearing only when we we appeared to be getting low on something, and quick to replenish or take more of our orders very quickly. This is the perfect Mexican restaurant for any locals, ANYONE tourists from other countries, or any people visiting San Diego hoping to get an authentic and VERY tasty meal. “This is a small Mexican joint tucked away at the back of the Trader Joe's area on Mira mesa Blvd. near Scripps Ranch. Entry is after the Trader Joe's entry. You cannot directly enter from any the Trader joes mall. The food was really good. We tried the bean and cheese burrito and the Al pastor tacos with chips. The salsas were amazing. Definitely worth a try.“

They definitely are good & filling ! I left happy & full. My wife got a Carne Asada Burrito that she really liked. Nice friendly prompt service and a Salsa Bar too ! 👍 it’s a smallish walk up and order type restaurant in a strip mall but that doesn’t distract from the good food at all with indoor & outdoor seating. We were there on a Thursday evening and the place was busy with lots of take out orders from the locals. We’ll definitely be back when in town“

“I’ve been dining at Le Papagayo’s for 20+ years. I love the atmosphere, ambience, live music, and fabulous food. It’s a down to Earth place and you can come casual or dressed up! This place will not disappoint.“

“Heart broken this place closed. This was our family’s go to place anytime we wanted to go out to eat. Their chips and guacamole life were fantastic and better than we have found anywhere else and they had incredible margaritas! Honestly, we never had any complaints about the food. We were typically seated immediately, the longest we would wait was 10 or so minutes. The staff was always friendly and prompt. The atmosphere was chill and clean and had a great vibe. Without OTB (az locations) open we don’t have a favorite go to place as a family anymore. Such a bummer.“

This restaurant is clean, but I did notice several wet stains on their ceiling, which could be roof leaking. We ordered a 3 piece meal and a chicken taco. The sides were corn and beans. Everything in the meal was good tasting. My only complaint is chicken pieces are too small. The taco with visit sauce was also good. Prices are a little high for a fast food meal.“

Although the Roll Taco I ordered was a little tough for my personal taste, the El Patron Burrito was very solid, with plenty of meat, and it was very marinated and delicious! “I have loved Wahoos since they opened one of the first ones in Huntington Beach in the nineties! it's always fresh and clean with a great vibe. It's the easiest and safest place for me to go during the pandemic. The food is very consistent across all the stores I've been too.
