“Great food ! Wings are definitely meh if you’re expecting Korean fried chicken level wings. This is not a Korean fried chicken place. Also had a bibimbap bowl - highly recommend it. Problem is place is a bit pricey - if your a hearty eater like me expect to pay 40$+ (per person)“

“A convenient lunch destination after arriving on Oakland Airport and heading southbound toward Fremont. If you are a soup noodle lover, this is great place, good selection on noodle type, combo of proteins and good selections on drinks. Good comfort food after getting off the airport.“

“Seriously love this joint. Every time I'm anywhere close by, I gotta stop in. The folks who work here are just super friendly and always on the ball, makin' sure you're taken care of. The inside of the place is real nice and inviting, lots of light and always looks squeaky clean. Now, sometimes you might see a couple of folks hangin' around outside, so just keep an eye out when you're parkin' your car, you know? But honestly, the food is a solid 10 out of 10 – so dang flavorful! And the meat is never, ever dry. You can tell they know what they're doin' in the kitchen.“

“This is my first time to try Hainanese chicken rice. It tastes good. The food is served very quickly and the ladies at the front desk are very talkative. The service is pretty good. Don’t expect the service of a 5-star hotel for this kind of fast food. It takes 20 minutes to eat. It’s nice to leave as soon as you’re done and save time?“

“The soba is a traditional dish passed along by its caretaker where every proprietor keeps the traditions as strict as possible without tainted biased towards one technique or another ingredient. This truer the product is to the labor and ingredients the more authentic the quality is. We as customers and consumers are just passersby’s to witness the current iteration as it’s peak of existence.“

“Good stuff. Try the fried chicken leg meal. For 14.99 you get rice, a fried egg, a whole fried chicken leg, some pickles and lettuce, a large egg roll and a small bowl of broth. The chicken was cooked nicely and everything tasted great.
The chicken is cooked to order.
This is the Chinese Vietnamese version of Jollibee, but it tastes better.
The waitresses were attentive and friendly
Will will return.“

“My boyfriend and I came in today after school to place a to-go order. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed with open arms they were quick to take our order and the food came out pretty fast. We had the Special Beef noodle soup. It was AMAZING!! the beef was so tender and so flavorful. ( I’m a picky eater so the Bok choy wasn’t my favorite but that was a easy fix but simply not eating it lol) 10/10 Will be coming here very often! ( I added a bit of hotsauce)“

“Excellent food and service. Very nice and the food was delicious, savory, and properly spicy. The vegetarian options are also really nice and very flavorful. There’s something for everyone here!
The food is very authentic, so don’t order anything spicy if you can’t handle a lot of spice!
Vegetarian options: Cold sesame noodle, tomato egg noodles, veggie chow mien, and numerous veggie appetizers and a vegetarian section for regular dishes with tofu and veggies.“

“This unassuming quiet spot is one of my favorite handmade noodle places! It's great value for money and has a couple of vegan options - I usually get the chongqing street noodles for the mala numbing oomph. I love the sides too - highly recommend the potato, cucumber and mushroom fungus. Always a go to for me whenever I'm in Oakland!“

“Pho was great! Order was ready quickly compared to another spot I had tried to order from. I love having the option to select beef broth with my veggie pho! The soft fried tofu in the veggie pho was so good!! The grilled shrimp and pork spring rolls were delish too! Will definitely be back - nice to have so close to my home!“

“Went here for the first time with my sister who has been here several times before and Omg! Everything was incredible 🤤 we got there pretty late so the kitchen had run out of a few things but everything that we tried was so good! Very hot and fresh, we ordered several appetizers to share and I loved everything. Then the entrees came out and they were all beautifully presented, and so flavorful! This place really is a gem and I will definitely be stopping by when I’m in the area again.“

“Cool place (love the decor/style), nice staff & tasty food. Some dishes you will not find in the average Thai restaurant in the Bay Area. For example, the chef or owner is from northern Thailand so the menu features a top Northern Thai dish - Kao Soi noodle soup (beef or chicken), or the all time fav 'street food' grilled pork skewers (moo ping) served with sticky rice (ck out the menu on their website). I had the Pad Kemao Chicken (menu says beef but they are happy to make dishes with what you like & even have Beyond Meat dishes on the menu - cool to see stir fried basil with Beyond Meat (Krapao Beyond Neur)). The taste of my wok fried pad kemao was delicious, same or better than any I've had on prior trips to Bangkok. Glad to have discovered a solid Thai restaurant that doesn't have watered down flavors. Good to see they have a lot of gluten free and vegan choices on the menu too. Definitely will be back, keep up the good work!“

“Their pho combo is great for introducing someone to tripe and tendons or for converting someone that typically hates it. It seems cleaner there or that they trim off the less enjoyable parts. The soup is aromatic, not greasy and clear.
Rice plates and rolls are great.
GET THE PANDAN WAFFLE.
They also have a Street Fighter 2 cabinet.“

“a little expensive for hot pot- but the nice new restaurant feel and the quality of food makes up for it. The meat lover combo for $65 was plenty for two people. Service would really only show up when you placed a new order, and it was a little weird not to receive spoons or bowls (there is a separate self-serve counter for this and sauces) but besides that they were fine. Only rank atmosphere low due to a large amount of families with loud kids wandering the restaurant... cest la vie.“

“I love Pho Vy! The environment is always very friendly and welcoming. Mom and pop shop located in Little Saigon. They have off menu items along with their variety of goodies on existing menu. My go to’s is their bun bo hue, bun rieu, bo kho, rice plates and all of their appetizers. Always a supporter of local mom and pop shops.“

“Fantastic food in Oakland's Chinatown. Handmade noodles and expansive menu - there's something for everyone. Attentive service and food came out really fast.
Small seating area and expect at least a short wait on the weekends. Great for groups of 2-6 people.
Not the most kid friendly place, but they aren't discouraged.
Parking: Parking can be difficult to find directly on the street - give yourself a few extra minutes.“

“For those keen on savory Asian breakfast, this Chinese-Vietnamese noodle house in Oakland Chinatown is unbeatable. Though a bit divvy from the outside, the dining room is tidy and the atmosphere authentic — complete with wontons being handmade from the back table.#20. Cambodian Ho Fun: cooked-to-perfection, chewy rice noodles served in light, clean-tasting broth. Topped with pork slices, hand-cut ground pork, shrimp, fish balls and kidney. Garnish to taste with chili sauce and oil, hoisin, and jalapeño vinegar. Personal preference to leave the broth unadulterated (perfect as is!) while making a dipping sauce for the yummy soup toppings. An Oakland gem.“

“Overall 6/10 (where 5 is average and 10 is the best meal I've ever had)
I got the Pickled Vegetables and Shredded Pork soup noodles and a Fried Tofu. Unfortunately the grill wasn't on for skewers (I dined early before dinner rush).
Pickled Vegetables and Shredded Pork soup noodles
- Broth wasn't that flavorful and looked and tasted a little like boiled dumpling water (which isn't necessarily bad). There was a lot of sesame oil and was too salty
- Noodle texture was the saving quality. Great chew.
Fried Tofu
- There was a lot of tofu in each piece which was great.
- It wasn't seasoned well. Quite plain; there was a sort of sweet soy oil at the bottom of the plate but being that it's fried tofu, it wasn't a great mix.“

“The dishes were authentic Sichuan flavors. The lamb soup, in particular, was exceptionally tender and flavorful. If you’re a fan of spicy food, this place is a must-visit. “What could be better on a rainy autumn day than a bowl of hot and sour soup with udon noodles, crispy pork and more? I loved this place. The food was fresh and delicious and the service was above and beyond attentive. I also loved all the healthy potted plants which gives the Noodle Lover Club a jungle vibe.“

“Great food and vegan friendly by default (no egg and dairy, yes peanut sauce though if you're allergic) for both soup and stir fry sauce.
Tons of tofu options (fried tofu, tofu sheets, tofu curds, soft porous tofu for soup bases)

“We went when they opened at 4 pm on a Saturday after a show. Not only were they opened, but they seated us promptly. This is a nicely laid-out restaurant in the Rockridge area. They have a large vegan menu, and the food is authentic. I bit on the higher side but likely comparable to the neighborhood.
Vegetarian options: They have a large vegan selection with choices of "beef", "chicken", and "pork belly". You can't go wrong with any of them.“

“I usually order the basil chicken or the green curries but everything is good there. Be careful if you request spicy, mom in kitchen will think you want it “Thai spicy” if you don’t elaborate. Thai spicy dropped me and I love spicy. 😂“

“Excited to experience dim sum at night! That's the best part about this place. Dim sum anytime. This is one of their newest location. We're so glad we came here. Parking was insane but we got lucky and parked by a nearby lot. We even met the owner Michael. What a nice man! Two of my friends have tried their SF location so they already knew what to order. Lucky me! Everything was mouth watering delicious. The wait outside was not long at all and we came early by 6 pm. There's 2 levels of seatings and I highly suggest to ask for the upper floor seating. Much cooler up there on a warm day/night. The servers were so nice. I definitely remember William. Checked on us often and made sure we enjoyed our meal. We had 7 dim sum selections and there was plenty for the 3 of us. We even had a mini to go box at the end. The price is $$. I can't wait to go back here again.“

“Nothing on the menu disappoints, and there are a number of dishes that aren’t exactly common in Vietnamese restaurants in the US.
The grilled pork is really something else, though. Trying it for the first time was like a great first date; I couldn’t stop thinking about it.“

“Pho or Yunnan? Yunnan for me. I think it’s healthier. Nothing like a bowl of numbing soup in the winter. The rice noodles go down so nice and the toppings are more elegant in taste and texture. The soup base really takes it. Can’t go wrong with the fish fillets.“
