“Our visit to Stoke's Adobe last weekend produced the best meal I've had on The Peninsula in a decade! Restauranteur, Sarah Orr, has hit one out of the park. The dishes prepared by Executive Chef, Bryce Hansen, were flawless, my favorties being the seared scallops and truffle chicken. Loved the nod to former occupant and socialite, Hattie Gragg, with the inclusion of the Hattie's Old Fashioned on the cocktail menu :) Looking forward to our next visit and an opportunity to sample other items on their ever evolving menu.“

“I first visited this amazing local deli in 1989-1990. I remembered the half loaves of bread stacked high with a pile of my choice of meats and cheeses. Although I was only 18-19, Compagno’s established my standard for an amazing sandwich. 32 years later I brought my sons here for lunch. Same delicious goodness a generation later.“

And my salad was the perfect size to complement the large portion of the hot Turkey. I added a little Tabasco cause that what I do. I thought I was finished until the little waitress offered dessert 🍨. I ordered a piece of their home made apple 🍎 pie 🎉🎊😱. People let me tell you this is a bucket lister. “Entire dining experience was amazing! The entire staff were welcoming and kind from the hostess at the front door to our server Freddy and all of the wonderful people in between. Menu options were great, so many wonderful specials it was hard to decide. We ordered starters off of the specials of lobster risotto and blue cheese, stuffed dates wrapped with prosciutto- both were delicious.  For our dinner entrée we ordered the whole Dover Sole that our server Freddy served right at the table (which included deboning the fish, etc.) so we didn't have to do any of the hard work. Excellent as well. Our dessert was delicious peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream and two cappuccinos. This is at least our second or third visit to L'Escargot in Carmel and we plan to return during our visits to Carmel :-) “

“Three of us stopped by this charming restaurant and our server was attentive and able to tell us the history of the restaurant when we asked. It was a pleasure to be waited on by someone who enjoys working there! I see why. The service from the kitchen was timed perfectly.
After our appetizers we were served our piping hot, delicious meals we're presented. I had Geschnetzeltes, and the others ordered Schnitzel and Jager Schnitzel. All three were plum full of flavor. We were served enough to take home to enioy the next day. Such a yummy treat.

“Went to check out the Packers game and was not disappointed.

Service was great and I had a solid burger. Sweet potato fries were super tasty!

Ranch was legit (ranch is very important to me 😆) as were the pickles.

We had some more of the game to watch so I opted to try their cheesecake. FIRE. I might go back just for the cheesecake! No joke.

“As a breakfast burrito self described snob, the bacon avocado breakfast burrito is the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. I would eat this for breakfast every day of the rest of my life. Pico de gallo was fresh, bacon I got extra crispy and the avocado was perfect. “Chefs Kiss” is what I think the cool kids are saying these days“

I am a breakfast snob and am so glad I found this place. I had the Lemon & Ricotta pancakes. WOW. My hubby had the hearty plate with 2 eggs, sausage, PERFECTLY crisp and salted potatoes and a beautiful biscuit plus a side of crispy perfect bacon.
So siimple but soooo yummy thanks to their care to details.

It is close quarters, so you'll need to be comfy with tight tables and close quarters. Also, we initially chose the place because it had outdoor seating and we wanted to bring our dog. However, it was a bit drizzly so we decided to leave the dog in the car. Worked out fine because there was only 1 large and two 2 seater sidewalk tables. All occupied at the time of our arrival.

Service was fine. Nothing notable, but certainly nice people. The ambiance and food bring me to a 5 out of 5.“

Excellent Southwest eggs Benedict; chicken fettuccini; fruit salad and Cinnamon toast special with eggs. Chocolate Oreo cake for dessert. Excellent service for a relaxing Sunday. “We have been going to Heirloom Pizza a few times a year for a while now and have always enjoyed great food and good service. This was until last night. The food was still delicious and the server was good. That was the limit of a good experience. The hostess had a look that we were bothering her by wanting to eat there. We arrived about 7pm and they were busy, but it only took about 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered fairly quickly and then waited for over 50 minutes to have an appetizer to reach our table and another 25 minutes for our main dish. By the time we received our appetizer the restaurant had only 5-6 tables with people still sitting. We understand that it takes a little longer for a deep dish pizza, but well over an hour in unacceptable. In the 50 minutes we saw no less than a dozen or so orders go out the door for pickup orders. I understand they sell pizza and there is likely a large amount of business that doesn't come an stay to eat, but we felt forgotten. If we choose to go back, maybe we should order before arriving.“
