“If I could give this place more stars I would!
It was eight of us yesterday and we get to try many different tapas and everything was amazingly delicious.
It’s not our first time to dine there and the experience is always more than satisfying.
All and all the food is delicious, service is excellent, super friendly people and a great location!
Highly recommend ?
One more: don’t forget to try their Sama Sama “The Peacock Chardonnay”.“

“I had my third amazing dinner at the Blackbird. The food was excellent and this restaurant offers different specials on different days at a great price. I ordered the $2 each oysters and they were delicious and large. The order I took to go for the rib eye, never even made it out the door. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection. I am making this one of my favorite restaurants in SB! Thank you Blackbird chef and staff. Awesome experience!“

“The Pickle Room is a "must visit" to enjoy an old-school Santa Barbara bar. I have no idea how I've lived in SB so many years without visiting the Pickle Room. It enjoys a prominent spot downtown in a well-known historical building. It is surprisingly small. There is a bar and a handful of booths. Upon entry, you are hit by the red color and intimate size of the place. We visited on a slow night and shared the space with locals and tourists. The drinks were all good and the service was friendly enough. I would not call the Pickle Room a dive. Leave those boring fern bars behind and try an SB original. We will return.“

“We stopped by during a cruise day and I am so glad we did! We got seasoned chips and salsa when we were seated. I ordered the ranchero breakfast plate and my husband ordered the carnita tacos quick plate. Both had very large protions and came with a small soup and salad. We were so full and neither of us could clear our plates. With both meals, drinks, and a tip we spent about $40 which we found appropriate. Staff were very kind and attentive and the business helps the community. Overall, we felt like we were visiting family or long time friends. 10 out of 10“

“Maiz Picante catered our wedding recently and did a phenomenal job! Not only were they professional, but the food was outstanding. We got nonstop praises about the food and service. I will definitely be using them again when we have another event. Otherwise, I try and support them whenever we are in town. They are friendly, professional, and know their food!“

Our waiter, Dominic, was professional and attentive, and we never felt rushed. “This restaurant offers a huge variety of drinks and food. The drinks are well prepared. The food is delicious and presented in a delicate manner. We had the Peruvian ceviche served with banana chips and the Spanish potatoes. The Peruvian Ceviche was prepared very well!“

The concept — coffees inspired by cocktails — is fantastic, and the three I tried (Burnout, Sugarwood, and Yemen) were all unique, thoughtful, and delicious. Nothing felt gimmicky or overdone — just really well-executed and full of creativity. Loved it!“

“Food and service were great, but the atmosphere would have been a lot better if the tables were at least 6" larger and didn't have people standing at window counter within arms reach, while wait staff negotiates access in the in- between space.

Parking: Parking was very scarce, but were lucky to take a space in the alley as someone was vacating it.“

“One of the best lunches we’ve ever had! This place is a very happy surprise. My husband and I shared the crispy chicken sandwich and macho salad. Both choices were fantastic.

The chicken sandwich was very well balanced. The bread was very light and didn’t overwhelm the sandwich and the spicy slaw, Swiss cheese, and tomato complimented the crispy chicken.

The macho salad was very unique with the dates, chicken, goat cheese, avocado, almonds, tomatoes and greens lightly dressed in a vinaigrette and the most amazing corn bread croutons.

The amazing menu doesn’t necessarily lend itself to picky kid eaters (my son) but he loved the catch of the day with the sauce on the side. The food took a while as they were pretty busy so the manager comp’d 2 desserts which were both spectacular! We will be back!!“

“This place is AMAZING! It was one of those places where you cannot believe it is gluten free so you keep asking if everything is Gluten free. Even my non-gluten free friends were extremely impressed. I have a wheat allergy so I asked them what kind of gluten free flour they use, and they do use a mix of potato and rice flours/Starches. They do have vegan options for those with other food intolerances. I’ll say, I had the best toasted ham and Swiss sandwich, on top of all the desserts. I’ve been in Santa Barbara for 2 days and I’ve already been there 3 times! The vibes of the bakery are also super cute. The atmosphere ties the whole experience together.“
