“Being an old-ish Army Vet, I had to try the SOS, as it was the go to breakfast in the 80's Army. I was not disappointed with the flavor or the memories! Great, efficient servers, service and food. 12 stars outta 10 stars! (When the VA appointments send me this way again, I'll definitely be getting my breakfast here!)“

“The best kept secret in Monterey! First of all the FRESH hand-made corn tortillas! OMG! Best in town without question. Huevos rancheros and Chilaquiles were amazing! Authentic. You want spicy? “I've lived in Mtry most of my life & have NEVER been to Jim's. I've heard some mixed reviews, but today was the day my son & I ventured out & I'm soooo glad we did. It's a very small place & we were looking to get something to go (which we did), but the overall experience was incredible. Family inviting, interactive, "crazy," large portions (at least 2 days' worth of leftovers), the owner/chief greets you as well w/a little snack to chew on while you wait (friends won tons & something else..I think a seseme ball) so good. We even asked about their Boba....fresh, NO powders, so I had to try the Tia Tea...omg soooo delicious (I went back 2 days later for more). Won ton soup delicious the best I have ever tasted, orange chicken (where you can actually taste the orange zest) was a game changer ? chow main noodles ? cooked to perfection ? & lastly the shrimp ? fried rice was so good & lite (NOT oily like most places). Very filling all of it. With all of this good stuff & the Tia tea, we will be back again & this time, we will stay to enjoy the ambiance of it all.

Parking: If you're NOT able to get parking in the very front of the restaurant, then you have to park in the attached side lot that is closer to Broadway & then walk from there. Parking lot needs some work (lots of debris & potholes), but it's free & unlimited (NO time restrictions).“

“Delicious food.... We had some red aguachiles and some green aguachiles. We’ve been here tons of times, but today when we went in, the service wasn’t the same, waitress seemed upset for some reason because I asked for extra avocado & I had to ask another waitress for some chips 20 minutes later because the original waitress never asked us if we needed anything else after they brought us our food. Besides that, food was delicious 👍🏿“

“Very good food quality. What was disappointing was the forced 18% gratuity for my family of 5. Then was given attitude when I didn't tip additional over the 18%. The best part was food quality. The service was just ok. We are a very low maintenance family to wait on.“

“Honestly, the best German food I have ever had. We started with the goulash and the cream of broccoli soup. We knew we were in the right place! We ordered the meatloaf-special of the day, a house platter-mixed assortment of foods, and the sausage plate. Every bite was pure joy. The best sauerkraut ever. I miss it already. We had to try the desserts so we tried the apple custard and the black forest cake. Yummmm! Be sure to book a reservation, they did turn a family away. Don’t miss this gem. 💎“

“This place has been here for decades and is now under new management I think. Much improved decor, food quality, brighter and cleaner, but prices are still worth it. Definitely give it another try if you haven't been here in awhile. I only wish they did delivery!“

“Husband and I had a great meal at Korea House! We went on a Wednesday evening but it was not too packed. The waitress and owners were very kind and friendly as they greeted us.

We ordered the soondubu jjigae, tofu stew, and 2 bowls of rice, since we both like sharing our meal.

The stew came with many delicious side dishes that were all authentic and well seasoned. The jjigae came not too hot, but warm. Take note that if you want an egg in it, request for it while you're ordering and ask them to make the soup a bit hotter so it'll cook the egg once you crack it in.

They have regular white rice but it was well cooked.

According to the owner, they have a jazz band playing every Friday night (or first Friday?), we were so sad to miss it! Hope to stop by next time.“

“My family and I have been coming to The Orient for over 10 years. This place is the best. It's run by the same family and the deliciousness of their food hasn't changed either. The beef Pho is great, best around I think. I really like their fried rice, salt pepper squid and egg foo young. Pretty much everything here is good. Their lunch specials are deal too.“

“Ordered the carne asada super burrito and the chicken taquitos. Both were great and came with red and green salsas. Also ordered two kids quesadillas and they were a hit.
Next time we’ll try the taco plate and carne asada nachos.
They also serve breakfast burritos at very reasonable prices starting at 7am.

Parking: No issue with parking, large lot and easily accessible.

Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available with three options. Recommend the kids quesadillas.“

“Authentic mexican and south-american food restaurant. The service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere could be a little bit more comfortable. The food was on point (although the fish in the ceviche was cooked and shredded) and the michelada is a great choice!

Parking: More than five spots directly in front of the restaurant but there is space to park on the street, also.“

“This place is in the Embassy Suites- that’s important for info on atmosphere and finding it! Really nice ambiance- we ended up here as it was the only place open past nine and we had just gotten into town and needed dinner and drinks and got both here with very friendly service. You can sit away from the bar area if the hotel bar is hoppin’.Limited menu- but totally sufficient and nice representation of local produce.

Parking: Says paid parking only- we are t hotel guests so hoping for the best ?“

“Went here for lunch during EOB and it was some of the best food I’ve ever had. The pupusas with cheese and loroca were absolutely delicious and some of the best i’ve had, also they were only $3 each which was insane to me I would have happily paid twice for the same meal. Our waitress was super sweet and my friend who got the chicken quesadilla said it was great as well. I will definitely be back soon and I’m happy I’ve found such an amazing restaurant!!“

Ordered the 3 item comination plate for dinner on a Tuesday night. This was our second visit to this restaurant. It was not too busy, and we were promptly seated and given menus to look at. I oreded the teriyaki chicken, combo tempura, and inari plate.
The inari with a little wasabi was very good. The combo tempura consisted of shrimp, mushroom, green beans, onion rings, carrot, and zucchini. The tempura was very good, especially with the provided dipping sauce. The teriyaki chicken was alright. Nothing special with light and dark meat. The salad and dressing were very good as well as the rice. Service was good as we were asked how everything was or if we required anything else several times. I put Harumi as one of the top of my list for Japanese food on the penninsula and look forward to another visit.“

“I did a mistake when ordering, ordered something that I can't eat. Realized my mistake too late, I even started eating the side pieces. After realizing I wanted the check, and was told I can pay with the tablet on the table. My meal was uneaten so I explained to the waiter I can't eat it, it was on me, not than meal was bad or anything. She told me to wait aminute, and replaced my meal with something else. Staff is attentive and very friendly.“
