“Tried a new place as our favorite Chinese restaurant closed a while back. Been searching for a new place. We stumbled on to Eggroll King. It is a small restaurant so sitting is limited. We ordered chicken eggrolls, egg flower soup, walnut shrimp and moo shu shrimp. Everything was delicious. Everything is made to order and not sitting for hours. Tom the manager was very friendly and attentive. We asked about Chinese New Years and stated, in his restaurant on that day, the wait times could be extremely long. He stated to plan ahead because it could be up to 2 hour wait times. He also stated the same for Christmas Eve and New Years Eve as well. We will be back to try additional items on the menu.“
“Good food and must try places of you are a big fan of tacos. I went to this place seeing the high ratings. I initially had no hopes but once I saw the food I was literally blown away by the flavor. The Smokey flavor and fresh veggies elated the experience. I ordered the veg nachos, horchatas, jackfruit taco, potato taco and chickpeas tacos. All the tacos and the nachos were really good. Highly recommend this place and I will must try place again.“
“First time coming here, we ordered the kimchi fried rice, beef galbi plate, and grilled shrimp plate - it was all soo delicious! Probably the best kimchi fried rice I've ever had, and it had an overeasy egg! I got it to go but it was quick and made fresh. Will definitely be back!“
“I am never disappointed when I order food from Appu's Cafe. I have tried almost everything on the menu and found it to be delicious, a good value for the price, and always ready on-time when I order online. The staff is kind and pleasant and very accomodating (sometimes I need to ask for the spice level to go down a few levels!). Excellent value all the way around!“
“The best service I've seen at a Shabu place!I'm allergic to peanuts and eggs, which most Shabu places I've found have not been very accommodating. But Miss Shabu has the most friendly staff as they wrote on the menu notes on what foods I'm allergic to and which ones are good. They were very efficient with setting up our table of 16 and were flexible when we had less people than expected. The food was really good for a decent price. For dinner and drinks and tea, we spent about $50 and got 2 different soup bases, had many different types of sides, and plates on top of plates of meat. Definitely recommend this Shabu place if you were looking for one in Buena Park.“
“I've been getting recommendations from my friends. It was my first visit with a coworker. Staff who take care of my table were so nice and very proud of her workplace. I think all of them look happy, and it makes me feel good. And all of the foods are sooooo nice. Not too salty or sweetie. But I need some spicy sauce or something with this combination. Everything was perfect. THANKS!“
“Lives up to the name! The taste and flavors felt like you were eating just at home. Everything tasted fresh from the sides to the entree. Their house made kimchi is also my favorite! The ambience of the restaurant is so nice! You feel like you're transported to a local restaurant in a village if that makes sense. The staff tends to all your needs and is so kind with the nicest smile! Would definitely come again“
“Good Philly cheesesteak and quick service on a Saturday afternoon. The cheesesteak was oozing with cheese and grilled veggies. There was plenty of seating inside and outside in 4th Street's market fun patio area that has games and TVs.My only issue with the Deli Station was that they didn't provide water, but you can easily grab it from the bar next door.“
“The food is delicious, their service has always been really good. The atmosphere is very family friendly. I like their "Carne en su jugo". My son loves anything with their"carne asada". My wife lives the "flautas de Pollo".Kid-friendliness: The staff is patient and takes great care of my son .“
“Came here on a thrusday early lunch! The food was good, but the only thing I have to say is that it's a little overpriced. I know I could have made this at home, but today, I was feeling a little under the weather to so came to try this place because I was craving the bibimbab.Would come back to try other food they have here for sure! They have a LUNCH Special for 7days11am-3pmOrdered2 Marinated beef which cost20.991 Vegetable & Rice in Hot PotI believe it was 17.99 or 16.99 around there1 Ramen cost8.99“
“This is by far the best Thai cuisine I’ve ever had. They have many types of curries, but my favorite has been the Panang and pineapple curries. Very good place if you love hot comfort food. The portions are big too with lots of perfectly cooked rice on the side. The atmosphere is very upbeat and busy. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Have the option for tofu“
“Pho was clean and delicious. Didn't standout but it wasn't bad. The spring rolls were phenomenal, the rice paper they used tasted in house, thicker and chewier. Gave me a gourmet textural experience. The egg rolls were nothing special, their dipping tray for fish sauce was too low and I couldn't get a good dunk.“
“I had Tabu Shabu saved for a long time because I wanted to try it and I'm so glad I did. My husband and I came here on a Friday night and our server Kathy's customer service was just amazing. She was very attentive and super friendly. The food was so good!! My husband isn't really a big fan of shabu but he loved this place and thought it was so good! Our first time here was 10/10. The food, the service, and the vibes were just on point. We love the owner Dana! Kathy, Everest, Ray and all of the other people that work there were so nice! We will definitely be back!“
“This place is the epitome of the Korean food aesthetic, and we usually get their sushi, their Bulgogi Kimbap roll. It is delicious and beautifully executed. This is a great spot to get food to go, it's not a sit-down restaurant. The services friendly, and it's very much quality food and overall healthy.“
“When you think of Garden Grove, you usually think of Vietnamese food or at least that what I do. I would have never thought to drive down to Garden Grove for some bomb Korean food, let alone 매운 갈비찜 (Spicy Braised Beef Ribs). Yigah does their signature dish particularly special and different from other restaurants that specializes in this dish, especially the ones in K-town. My friend and I ordered their regular spicy with cheese and rice cake and it was hands down the best braised beef ribs I've had in SoCal. The meat literally falls off the bone when you pick at it and we both let it marinate some more in the sauce once we took the bones out. The sauce was addicting and we devoured it with the rice we had on the side. When the servers bring in out, you get to watch a little fire show that they demonstrate with their force to melt the cheese and that's always a sight to watch. As for the bossam, the meat was nice and tender and I liked how it was kept warm by a candle on the bottom of the metal dish they used. However, since both my friend and I focused on the braised beef ribs, we neglected the bossam the entire time and didn't each much of it. Overall, we did enjoy our meal here, in particular the spicy braised beef ribs and would come here again. Definitely come check out Yigah if you're in the area or you want to try out a new Korean restaurant in the OC!“
“I really can't say enough about how good Kashiwa Ramen is; I love it so much I've eaten here several times in the last two weeks. This has to be one of the best ramen spots in OC currently. It originally started in Japan and came over to the States. In terms of quality, it definitely seems authentic.I've tried several items on the menu, and every time, it's delicious. I highly recommend dining in, but even if you order to go, or through doordash, it always comes piping hot and high quality.Today, I tried the Tsukumen, which is hard to find at other shops because it is a traditional dipping noodle where you dip it in the soup. I would highly recommend trying their tonkatsu ramen, although they also have other great items like smaller portion chashu rice bowls, which I swear the meat is so soft and tender. The chashu pork comes out great every time. The soft boiled egg is perfection. Both the straight and wavy noodles are wonderful. They also have a swirl broth, which is absolutely delicious; it's a mix of their pork and chicken broth together. They also have green tea, which tastes really crisp and fresh. They also have chicken if you don't eat pork.Overall, I really love Kashiwa and plan to continue frequenting it. The only critique I can give is that I wish the waitresses would check in on the tables at least once or twice every so often. Everyone is so kind and polite and the service is very fast. Dining by myself, i am in and out in under 30 minutes or so.Thank you so much for the wonderful meals, I plan to continue coming here in the future, and I hope more people come too.Vegetarian options: They do have tofu as protein for all ramen, miso ramen, sea kelp ramen, and other various side dishes like egg on rice.I would double-check with the waitresses to make sure the broth is 100% vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: If you do not eat pork, they have chicken as a protein topping as well.Parking: Big parking lot in a busy shopping center.Kid-friendliness: There are probably not a ton of options for kids, but if your kids are more adventurous, im sure they would enjoy it. I believe I've seen kids eating pretty plain ramen, just noodles and broth.Wheelchair accessibility: I'm pretty sure it's accessible to get in, but it is a small store and pretty tight. You may be able to fit your wheel chair at the counter if you ask.“
“I'm not exaggerating when I say this, but this is the best Thai food restaurant around. We order from Thai Pepper 2-3 times a month and the quality is always consistent and delicious. The pad thai, pad see ew, spicy green beans, and orange chicken are a must try.“
“A friend and I were headed to Open Sesame when we walked by this place. I didn’t know it was there, so we changed plans and decided to try it.It’s excellent! We had the cheese rolls and falafel to start. Both were really good, but I didn’t necessarily love the dipping sauces they came with. I dipped the cheese rolls in the olive oil/sun dried mixture they brought out complimentary, and in the toum, instead of the mustardy sauce. The falafel dip was a little bland, but the falafel itself was nice and crispy. We ordered the beyti kebab, which neither of us had ever heard of, and it was so good. We also ordered the chicken kebab plate. Chicken was cooked perfectly. The rice is always one of my favorite things on a kebab plate, and that was also done perfectly. We had the baklava and some Turkish tea for dessert, and it hit the spot.Service was lovely. Portions were good, presentation was nice, and prices were reasonable. This place is slept on. Will definitely be back.“
“The food here is really good. I opted for the bbq pork ribs and garlic noodles. I suggest you visit during the afternoon though because the evenings can get really busy. A few suggestions though...the volume of the music should be turned down, and the staff seems to be really busy, so patrons usually need to approach the register to close out their bill.“
“Have been here twice for take out and the second time had the Chicken Pho/ Pho Ga which was great and helped me combat my flu. They always gave me a nice welcome and the food was bagged so neatly with the freshest ingredients and homemade taste. Their pho is a large quantity so it's enough for me to save for the next day or share for two. Such a great deal.“
“All About Pho in Fullerton offers a welcoming atmosphere with staff that make you feel right at home, though it's worth noting that prices are a tad higher than other Pho joints. However, the PHỞ SƯỜN BÒ is a standout dish that justifies the extra cost. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the meat falls off the ribs with ease, making every bite a delicious delight. It's a cozy spot for a hearty, satisfying meal.“
“Not AYCE but lots of side dishes including cheese corn, poached eggs, another egg dish, bean paste soup or kimchi stew. Very good and attentive service and excellent staff. The unmarinated beef was the best. The chadol was a little tough. But the rice paper, pickled radish, dipping sauce, and salad made the meal delicious.“
“진짜 너무 맛있어요!!So so so would recommend this place for lunch or dinner, especially on a cold rainy day like today. The gamjatang was good as expected but the yukejang blew my mind it’s so flavorful and the portions are GREAT for the price“
“A small local business offering Taiwanese food. The interior is older and aged. The parking directly in front can be a problem but there is more parking offered further down into the shopping center. The staff is nice and friendly. We’ve been going here for years and I feel like perhaps they have a new chef because all the flavors seemed off in some way.The menu has a lot to offer so you are sure to find something you like.“
“I live near another Pho 45 that's in La Mirada, and I believe it's related to this location which is good because the food served here is great! 5/5 stars, especially for the vermicelli noodle dishes! I came here because the overrated, other top rated pho place only accepts cash whereas this place accepts credit cards. There was a short wait to get into this Pho 45 but the staff here are friendly and polite. I grew up in MPK and regularly dined at Vietnamese restaurants since my family is from Vietnam. I recommend this Pho 45.Parking: Shares a lot with other restaurants and stores. Many spots are marked only for students but I parked in them because the school was closed when I visited.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp“
“Best ramen around!! Even the vegan is great! And don't forget the Icy cold draft Asahi and hot sake!Vegetarian options: Their vegan ramen is soooo delicious! I usually add some mushrooms and the egg cuz I'm not vegan but eat it a lot.“
“Casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and quick service characterize Hungry Boy Thai Cafe. The menu offers typical comfort Thai dishes, from pad Thai to various rice options. I opted for the spice level 5 in the drunken noodles, which delivered a good kick, though I had to amp it up with extra Thai chilis and a dash of Sriracha to satisfy my higher spice tolerance. If I find myself in the area, Hungry Boy is a convenient choice when spending time in the plaza.“
“Best jokbal(pork feet) ever!Been coming to this place at least once per month all they way from SD, even though the traffic is horrible sometimes, but it's worth it ?Wish they had a chain in SD ?Love the spicy jokbal❤️100% recommended!!!“
“Absolutely awesome people who make you feel like you're part of their family.Excellent food and amazing service. If you're missing something and someone walks by. They don't care if it's not their table. They'll get it before you even ask. Outstanding.“
“Lady that took my order over the phone made sure to explain the menu items I wanted to order before finalizing my pickup order. Upon picking up my order she made sure to go over my entire order and had it packed perfectly. When I got home and unpacked my order, all items were labeled and even included a note letting me know one of the items was extra hot. Little details like this is what keeps my family and I coming back to Ho Ho China. Thank you to the staff and cooks, keep up the great work!“
“Happy to see that they have opened their second location! We love supporting Appu's throughout the year as their food is delicious and healthy! It's an easy option for us when we don't feel like cooking but still know that we are consuming a quality meal. The staff has always been helpful and they serve us with a smile. Thank you!“
“A GREAT! Spot, with the nicest staff i was low on money and just wanted somethin kinda small and only had 12$ and she gavr mr another meal that costed more cuz she thought what i could afford wouldnt fill me up lol the sweetest staff ever! And the food was bomb!“
“This is where we go for special occasions when we want solid Korean food, particularly savory soups. But that is not to say the other stuff on the menu is not worth trying. Some of the dishes deserve special recognition, because they are not typical (in my experience) or because they are exceptional. Not typical could include the Yeolmu Boribap, which is daikon radish greens mixed with barley rice and other ingredients. Very tasty and filling, even if I can't recall having it elsewhere. We really like it. Seasonal? Maybe.Exceptional could include the Doenjang soup/chigae, which we all agree is maybe the best we have tried in years. It is a treat. Many regard this dish, served elsewhere, as a pedestrian food, ordinary and a staple, but here it is elevated. The Chunggukjang is a more rustic version of the Doenjang soup/chigae, and it is very delicious. For the uninitiated, this is a stew made from something like (Japanese) natto, and it isn't great for a hot day, but rather, awesome for cold weather dining. Delicious, not for the delicate. In sum, this is a mom-and-pop style place, not some corporate chain, exactly the kind of place we like to support. People in the area who seek good homestyle Korean food will know this place and appreciate what they do here.“
“My first experience with Hu Tieu.I went with rice and egg noodle dry with soup on the side. I think i preferred the rice noodle because it soaked up more flavor. The dish contains many different ingredients but they all seem to work together in harmony. I think dry is the way to go because soup kinda made it a little bland.Price is excellent and there will most likely be a wait.“
“We've been going her since the 80's. Best Chinese food in town. Going to miss the place when they close all the business in that center for some new construction. I hope they re-open somewhere else. We love all the staff, food & simple ambiance ?“
“The pho is about as good as you can get, it was the best pho I’ve had in a while. The Passion Fruit drink is refreshing and appears to be handcrafted, with the pulpy seeds and all, and was perfectly sweet even without an add-on. As a drink, it reminds me of 7Leaves’ sunset passion or peach teas, which also have a sweet, fresh fruit taste. The food has been consistently good, though prices are on the higher side but unfortunately are actually the going rate in 2024. Fast service“
“Delicious Tofu SoupHad pork kimchi soup spicyNice hot smoking tofu soup with great taste. Pork was nice and juicy and the tofu had perfect firmness. The soup wasn't just spicy but rich in flavor. Had lots of side dishes that were delicious (kimchi, cold noodles, etc.), however limited to 2 refills. Kind of wish it had unlimited refills. Service is pretty standard for Korean restaurant“
“Food was good.. portions kind of small for the price .. but it was the only Thai place open between the hours of 2pm and 4 pm .. for some reason all the other Thai places in the neighborhood close for lunch between 2 & 4 .. go figure ..“
“Another place I go to regularly and somehow never reviewed. This little place is the definition of a hole in the wall with fantastic home-made tasting food. The kimchi stew tastes as good as the ones my friends' moms make. They always use very ripe kimchi. Their dumpling soup is also very good with broth that actually has flavor. Their meats are all well marinated and the stone pot bi bim bap is awesome! They also give you tons of side dishes. Their prices are also much lower than most of the places nearby. The Aunties don't speak a lot of English but they're always so kind. Love this place. **Tip: if you prefer white rice make sure to ask or they'll automatically give you the rice with stuff like beans.“
“Small ramen location of a large chain. You start with a basic ramen lacking the seasoned egg and seaweed. By the time you add these options in, the basic tonkotsu ramen is close to $20. While the flavor is good, it is more expensive because if the nickel and diming with the options. The green tea tea bag here is $3.75 each, while Ai Restaurant charges $0.95 for the same.Parking: Small parking lot. The night we came was Christmas Eve so only the other 2 Japanese restaurants in this strip mall were open. It feels like this parking lot would fill up quickly during workday lunch times.“
“The pho was good. The meat fresh. The selection of side garnish was minimal. The egg roll was good and the spring rolls good. The service was mediocre. Yes i get it they are busy but at a minimum can there be some sort of acknowledgement/confirmation? Yes, no, ok, thanks, next, etc.. not asking for much but a dull stare is hardly communicative and i wasnt sure if he'd heard the order.“
“They deliver a delightful Bibimbap experience. The dish boasts a colorful array of fresh vegetables, succulent marinated beef, and a perfectly fried egg. The harmony of flavors, coupled with the interactive mixing at the table, makes it a satisfying and flavorful choice for Korean cuisine enthusiasts. The gochujang sauce adds a spicy kick, rounding out this well-executed classic. Highly recommended for a tasty journey into Korean flavors.“
“Neat place that offers authentic Korean food. We ordered their chicken hot pot, delicious! After we're done with the hot pot, the chef made fried rice using the leftover broth and veggies. The chef is attentive, friendly and efficient. Highly recommend this place.“
“Wow, finally...one of the more authentic Mexican restaurants in the area.I have to admit, I have been here a few times now and each time it gets better. If you have ever been anywhere near Apatzingan you would know what I am talking about.I have tried the Uchepo, Pozole, Caldo de Pollo, tacos, sopes, and Birria de chivo. I have to say I have enjoyed all especially the pozole and caldo de pollo. The service is great, each time I have gone, I have had a different waitress and each one is super attentive and have had a great personality and explain everything well about the food if you have any questions. Also, we have been greeted by the owner to insure how the food and service was. Greatly appreciated.I have recommend this to a few close friends and for sure will be coming back to try a few more things on the menu like menudo, costilla, mojarra, etc.“
“This is a small restaurant, it feels very homey and the people who work there are sweet. The pad see ew with chicken is not as flavorful as other Thai places I've been to but I did enjoy it, especially with the different sauces they gave us.“
“Best Pho Ga I ever had!!!! The broth was incredibly clear and bursting with an abundance of flavors. Every spoonful was a delightful experience, leaving me wanting more with each bite. Place is small and tight, but it's worth it! I highly recommend trying this Pho Ga! My favorite Pho Ga place in OC!“
“Came here for Christmas and ate the most delicious dim sum and dumplings. This place is DELISH. At the table was vinegar, soy sauce, and a really delicious chili oil that was not spicy at all. It's a bit small inside but the service is really fast so the wait time isn't that bad. There is plenty of parking here also.“
“2nd time trying out Pho Express in Cypress and I WILL BE BACK!! This coffee is absolutely delicious and the best I have ever had in my life! If you're ever in Cypress, please make sure to stop by and grab a meal (drink too!) to this lovely and comfy pho restaurant! Thank you to the staff and management that goes into keeping this restaurant amazing :)“
“That San Fransokyo Clam Chowder is so bloody good with the Boudin sourdough. I thought I can get this at any Boudin outlet but no.. the sourdough bread here is just different, one of the best I've had in recent memory, crisp on the outside with just the right dough density.“
“My family and I visited here on November 8th, 2023. Had a specific on Wednesday. The food was good and tasty. Sorry, I forgot to take a pic of the food. I was super hungry ?. Hubby got tacos and burritos. After I said, I should have gotten more tacos. We stayed at Motel 6, so we had a walkable distance. Will visit again.“
