“I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

I got the tuna sandwich, and it was loaded with crisp veggies and sprouts, which gave it the perfect crunch and made it feel really balanced instead of heavy. “Manager Marissa made delivery order while at Encino store which generally has very very poor service and makes lots of mistakes with no responsive management. However the day Marissa was covering for that store my cookies were the very best I have experienced. She was supposed to respond to my email and did not but did a great job on my delivery order and given my recent delivery issues I appreciate that she made sure my order was fresh and correct“

After trying Julian's coconut cookies today, I have to say I have never had one better. The chewy texture, the clear taste of coconut, and the sophisticated use of coconut sugar all came through as a perfect creation. Better than my go to coconut cookie at Fat+ Flour in Culver City. Julian is a baking GENIUS! His creations may seem simple but he is not satisfied until they are as perfect as they can be so you know you are lucky to be one of the few people who get to try his creations.“
