“Been visiting for 20 years. Taste and flavor are always on point! Friendly service, you won't get unless you get the owner herself. But the food is always so friggin delicious, that I don't care about friendliness. It's not full service anyway, and the food comes out quickly. And, the price is so reasonable - better than reasonable. I could almost never go to any other restaurants in the same plaza because this place is so much more superior.“

“This is hands down one of my favorite kbbq spots. The food is great, no frills, just good meat and sides. My favorite thing about this place has to be the service. We arrived at 8pm on a Saturday, and there was no wait! We had three different servers attending to us this evening, and they checked in on us constantly, making sure we had everything we wanted. And they're fast and so friendly! Another great bonus is that the overhead vents are so strong, I never feel gross and oily after eating here like I do with other kbbq spots.“

Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“The attention from servers is great it feels like if you are at someone's home with very nice grandmas caring for you. We ordered the Sogogi Suyug plater (beef), and the Ujok Suyug plater (tendon) we also ordered the Galbi Tang soup and the Sukkur Sullung Tang soup. Both have beef but the soup base is different one is more fatty rich and the other one is more light and clear but both flavorful and different noodles. Rice comes with your meal along with Kim chi and other sides. The space is small and you may have to wait to be seated. We were lucky to avoid the lunch time crowd. Price was good for what we got.“

“Ordered a 2 item combo (half and half chicken plus rice cake in rose mara sauce with ramen add on), a half and half chicken order, and a seafood pancake. Our group picked a total of 4 chicken flavors, their original fried chicken, sweet and spicy, habanero garlic chicken, and honey. All of these flavors were very good, the original had a great fried exterior and you could add some of the rose mara sauce from the rice cake to spice it up. The Sweet and spicy chicken was a very light spice, moreso sweet with a syrupy coating on the chicken. The Habanero garlic chicken was spicier if you had a piece of the habanero pepper on it but otherwise, this was an alright choice. The honey chicken was sweet and the syrupy coating was very nice. The rice cake in rose mara sauce with ramen was a mouth watering plate of rice cake, fish cake, glass noodles, and the ramen coated with their creamy and spicy rose mara sauce. This was a big plate to share with a small group. The rice cake and fish cake were chewy and the glass noodles were fun to slurp up. Adding ramen was a good choice as there was plenty of rose mara sauce left to soak up, even some leftover to add to the fried chicken. The seafood pancake was notable for small bite size pieces of calamari and other seafood. It fell apart a bit easily because of the green onion slices that were holding it together. Service was fast, and they were quite patient taking our order. There is a call button installed on the table if you need their attention. The interior is very retro 90s South Korean with brick walls, oversized bench seats and kpop playing in the background. Parking is also adequate with enough above ground parking places. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy a meal with friends together craving Korean style fried chicken.“

“This is where Koreans eat. We’re not Korean. Authentic, absolutely delicious Korean foods, and the best kimchi we have had on the planet. We don’t usually like kimchi, but this kimchi was good enough to bottle and sell on its own. Sooo good. The soft tofu kimchi dish was divine. The squid was perfect. The galbi was excellent. The kimchi pancake was new to us and absolutely yummy. it was enough for 3 with leftovers, and the perfect accompaniment to the protein dishes. The spicy chickens feet was delicious, though could have used another 20 min of cooking. I don’t recall the many dishes we ordered, and everything and leftovers the next day was scrumptious. The best beer was the gingko, so good. The service was friendly, helpful, attentive, and just the right amount of proactive helpfulness for my party. Parking is in the back, immediately after the front door entrance. The restaurant is dark, with very high, thick booths for privacy. The music was for a young 20-30-something crowd. We would make this a regular hangout if it were nearer our home. We will bring all of our visitors to L.A. here in the future.“

“K-Stop has an amazing selection, and their kimbap is seriously delicious. I’ve tried all the varieties; tuna, beef, spicy chicken, and vegetable and every single one has been great. They’re super filling too. I usually order three for two people, but honestly, one per person is plenty.

“The place to go for delicious pork kbbq! I highly recommend the thick pork belly, marinated pork ribs, and the corn cheese. The pork marinade was flavorful and not as sweet as other kbbq places. They give a nice variety of side dishes which were really good with the pork belly.

“i only come here for their chicken noodle soup (dak kalguksu). it comes with a few banchan, of course. it’s perfect especially when you’re feeling wilted, sick, sad and/or cold. so comforting and hot!! the auntie at the register is super sweet and organized. their parking attendant is pretty nice too. there is a designated parking spot for to-go orders. i always do to-go.“

“This was one of my childhood go to spots from when I used to live in L.A. It has been about eight years since I last came, and even though I do not fully remember the exact taste, I just remember really liking the food. Coming back while visiting did not disappoint at all.

I ate two pans, and yes, the servers can seem a little curt at times, but if you are a local or someone who has been coming for years, you understand that it is just part of the place. The food may not be super extravagant, but you can feel the sincerity in it.“

“Food was good and for the amount you get, it was a good deal. For 4 adults and 2 children, we were all pretty stuffed. We got combo D that included a wide variety of dishes, which at first we thought wasn't going to be enough, but then it just kept on coming. 2 of my essential banchans were there: a potato dish (salad in this case) and cucumber kimchee. They also had raw shrimp, which was a first for me, it was pretty good.

Seating seemed private with tall dividers, parking wasn't bad at the time I visited. They use table bells for service, which is nice.

Only negative would be at the end, I felt a little rushed to leave, but to be fair, a line was forming and we were mostly done.“

“Mountain Noodles offers an extensive variety of Korean dishes, which initially made me skeptical about their focus on noodles. However, I was surprised to find that their menu cleverly builds on a foundation of decent meat broth with slight variations.

I tried their signature dish, the beef noodles, and opted for the mild spicy version, which unexpectedly came with kimchi in the soup. I would recommend going with the regular flavor to fully appreciate the rich flavor of the broth. Kimchi is also served as a standard side dish. The ribs in the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the noodles themselves were delightfully chewy and tasty.

While the service was not particularly friendly or proactive, it didn't significantly detract from the overall quality of the food. Mountain Noodles is a solid choice for anyone craving varolious and well-prepared Korean cuisine.“

Butnal, packed with Korean diners, feels authentic from the moment you walk in — the vibe, the decor, everything!

We came for their boneless spicy chicken feet, and wow… they totally blew us away. Tender, flavorful, perfectly spicy — just addictive.
Their assorted savory pancake is also something special, topped with Korean-style tempura I haven’t seen anywhere else.

And of course, no trip to a true Korean spot is complete without budae jjigae.
No matter how many times I’ve had it, I never get tired of it.
Pair it all with some soju, and with the cozy wooden booths, it honestly feels like stepping into a K-drama.

To top it off — they give you ice cream when you pay the bill. Delicious, aesthetic, and absolutely coming back!“

“Update 10/22/23

Still great food, service and deals. Went with combo C again, but brought my mom for help. We did much better on the food, but still had leftovers so I think it can feed four avg appetites. We did order the small cold noodle again, but still stick by my assessment cause we didn't really eat that much rice. They offer the stone pot rice too! Anyway, service was even better this time it seems because they refilled our banchan quickly and without even asking. Great bang for your buck at KBBQ with the quality of meat , banchan and service from a higher end place.

Parking tip: there was a valet on a Wed evening which surprised us, but for $3, very convenient as their parking is limited and service was great!

Amazing! Only regret is that I haven’t tried them sooner. After an under whelming experience at Quarters last month, we were more than pleasantly surprised with our experience at Chung Ki Wa. The combo C was perfect combinations of all of our favorites and while the cost was comparable to Quarters, the portion and quality was head and shoulders above. Could easily feed four “avg” adults. Service was top notch as well and again, head and shoulders above. Yes, they did cook the meat for us!!! Ditto for the banchan and love the fact they had a small portion of their cold noodles to try and super refreshing on a hot summer evening. Add the fact that there was free street and lot parking and barley tea, I see no reason to go anywhere else when craving Korean food while in LA. Be back soon!“

“Hands down the best late night hearty meal after a fun night with friends! The food regardless of what you choose is amazing with fresh ingredients and full of flavor! The employees have it down and are so quick to assist and are friendly. It does get quite busy depending on when you go, but since SND closes so late there tends to be a wait at night. There’s plenty of tables and the workers do their best with the waitlist. Parking is limited, so your best bet is street parking. Def my go to late meal spot or hangover meal! :)“

“Highly recommend if you like Korean food. I love this place! The owner is so incredibly kind and generous and she pays attention to details. She has noticed many times that I am tired from work and gave me a little shot of coffee while I waited for my order. She always sneaks in little treats and takes care of me. “One of my regulars, when it comes to spicy sundaeguk, this is definitely the place.
I've been going to this place since it was in front of Kim's Electric, on Olympic Road.
I go to this place when I go to Vegas, and I go to this place when I go to San Diego.
It's one of my favorite restaurants.
Tip: To-Jong Sun-Dae is tastier than just the regular Sun-Dae.“

“Food is always delicious here. We came for an early dinner because I was craving some Soontofu. They give you the usual Korean sides and a little fried fish, you get an egg and crack it into the soup, a bowl of rice and we usually order the beef or spicy pork bulgogi. Craving satisfied! When it is really busy here, service can be a bit stretched but they lve always taken great care of us.“
