“Had the absolute best time here last night! So pleased. Chef brought out some sugar snap peas that were crunchy, tasty, and thoughtful for a hungry party! Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious! Fish sandwich 10/10, mussels 10/10, great for vegetarian, pescatarian, or pregnant like myself so shopping for raw & cooked options for everyone at the table! The “local spot” ambiance is unbeatable, felt like home. Thank you for the service!“

“Amazing food! I haven’t had a good meal like that in a while! I recently checked out some of the well rated restaurants in LA, such as RVR and I have to say this is hands down superior. The food, the vibe, and the server was also very attentive and friendly. The portions are very small and I felt like for the price, they could be a little larger.

“Great Food, Disappointing Service — A Missed Opportunity

Saltie Girl has a well-earned reputation for exceptional food, and in that regard, it delivered. Every dish that came out of the kitchen was flavorful and beautifully presented — the oysters, in particular, were a standout.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the service.

After ordering a bottle of wine, it took over 20 minutes for our server to return, only to inform us that the manager would be retrieving the wine. Another 10 minutes passed before she reappeared — not with the wine we ordered, but with a different, more expensive bottle. Rather than apologizing for the mix-up or offering it at the original price as a courtesy, the switch was presented matter-of-factly. A gesture of goodwill here would have gone a long way.

To make matters worse, our oyster order was mishandled — not once, but twice — with incorrect counts and missing varieties. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, these details matter. Guests expect not only excellent food, but also attentive, polished service to match.

In the end, the meal was delicious, but the experience left a bitter aftertaste. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and invests in training their staff. As much as I enjoyed the food, I won’t be returning until the service rises to the level of the kitchen. Dining here should feel seamless — not like a constant series of corrections.“

“I had a long layover at LAX while returning from an international trip and decided to treat myself to a solo birthday dinner. I was looking for a place with a great local vibe, good food, and live music—and Eddie V’s delivered on all fronts and more.

When the staff casually asked if I was celebrating anything special, I mentioned that my birthday was coming up in a few days. To my surprise, they decorated my table and even prepared a handwritten birthday card. The live jazz was exceptional—performed by experienced musicians covering a wide range of modern and classic jazz across genres and eras. The atmosphere was lively yet refined.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the hospitality was warm, thoughtful, and welcoming. As a woman dining solo, I especially appreciated how gracious and attentive the service was—it made me feel completely at ease and genuinely celebrated.

To top it all off, they surprised me with a birthday dessert: a beautifully presented Bananas Foster, theatrically flamed tableside. It was both elegant and exciting, a perfect blend of experience and taste, and the perfect way to start my birthday.

I highly recommend Eddie V’s Prime Seafood for any occasion—and especially for solo diners looking for an elevated and memorable experience.

ConiSeafood is serving up Acaponeta, Nayarit-style seafood. Located in a small building in Inglewood, there offing a big menu full of goodness. From ceviche, fish dishes, shrimp dishes, soups and a few extras, you'll find something for your taste buds.

They offer indoor seating and outdoor seating. The space is very cozy. It was busy when we arrived, and had to wait just 10mins. The hostess greeted us when we walked in and once seated, our waiter was very attentive.

We got aguachiles and a shrimp plate. The aguachiles was good, but spicy. Just to warn you! The shrimp plate was delicious!“

“Freshest restaurant quality sashimi and sushi at a reasonable price in the U.S. Their sashimi is top notch. Highly recommend the Hamachi/yellowtail toro (so underrated), the scallops, and the squid/ika, but honestly any of the options won’t disappoint. Also a big fan of their tamago and their Takuan roll (which has fresh perilla leaves inside)!

I thought this was a mom and pop place, but it turns out they have at least six locations in the Southern California area. Go to their website and check it out. I really like the tostalitos with shrimp and octopus ceviche but that dish along with the other ceviche dishes including the new sashimi dish all have too much salt. Recommend ordering a side order of rice with any ceviche order to counter the salt.“

The food is really delicious
Cocktails are also delicious.
There is some cilantro in the pasta, but even I, who can't eat cilantro, can eat it comfortably, but if you don't like it so much, you will have to ask for it to be left out.
But when I went, there was a karaoke stage going on, so the atmosphere felt like a place where old men sing.
I think it would have been really nice if there were jazz or country songs.
I recommend it because I think the food will suit Korean tastes well.“

The menu options were incredible, the prices fair, great understanding of dietary restrictions, and honestly, just incredible flavor and quality all around. “I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. I consider myself a foodie, and try as many different restaurants and cuisines as I can. And yet, Playa Provisions remains my favorite restaurant in LA (and that's saying something, considering the amazing places in LA). Run, don't walk, to Playa Provisions. You'll thank me.“

If it’s full, there is additional parking underground. As soon as we placed our order and found a table for two, there was a line of people. The fish (grilled) was good!! Not dry at all!! I loved that there were so many hot sauces to choose from. I also enjoyed the roasted yellow peppers…!! they were meaty and not spicy. Since I ordered a combo, I picked their hibiscus tea, which was tart and sweet, just the way I like it! I will definitely go back to try other items.“
