“What an amazing experience. This team is so efficient! I had no idea how this particular location operated and instantly noticed how quiet it was with no overhead music but the place was packed! Quickly put it together and appreciated the barista at the register who handed me the pad. Thank you to the team and the company for the mission and execution of this Starbucks.“

“BEST and warmest service I have ever had at a Starbucks. In particular, Haneef assisted. After he noticed we ordered the protein plate, he brought salt, and utensils to our tables. He provided excellent and warm service and we look forward to coming back!“

“One of the nicer Starbucks I've visited. Good ambience for hanging out. Cozy. My favorite food at Starbucks is the spinach feta egg wrap. The coffee is decent, but there are more impressive coffee drinks at other places, like Peets, Philz coffee, or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf on the west coast.“

“I generally enjoy the experience and I love that the place embodies ward 8 culture, but sometimes it is hard to get work done here because the music is extremely too loud. I sometimes jokingly tell people that I am at a party anytime I have a meeting while I am working here, but after a while the loud music just makes it very challenging to focus. The music choice is perfect, but the volume can be overbearing. Besides the music, the people are pretty awesome, and the drinks are always on point. “Stayed near this Starbucks for 3 days and got coffee every day I was there. I got to know the staff there. I wish I could remember their names ? but the women behind the counter made me feel so welcome every morning she even remembered my name the second and third day I went in and made pleasantries with me. The baristas made my orders perfect, and they even remembered who I was, and I thought that was super special. If I'm ever in that area of DC again, I'll be sure to stop in and visit my new favorite Starbucks.?

Parking: There is limited, free parking on the street in front of the location. Be careful that you don't park too close to the Metro bus pickup because you could block the pickup location and possibly get fined.“

“THIS LOCATION is my FAVORITE Starbucks location! I literally call it MY Starbucks. I live in the vicinity of 3 standalone Starbucks, all with a drive thru BUT the Skyland Town Center location is better than the Clinton and Forrestville locations in every category listed above. The customer service is ALWAYS A1 whether the drive thru is wrapped around the corner or if I'm the only person in line. Bc this is "my" Starbucks, the morning crew has perfected my creatively complicated (but not complicated) drink so well, that on first sip, my morning is made (it's a marriage between an iced peach green tea and a lemonade Mango Dragonfruit Refresher). The few times when my drink was made incorrectly, it was remade and STILL handed to me with a smile, sometimes even a cute sticker. I even took a trip to the Forrestville location to compare my experience. While there, their manager and a barista had a whole conversation in front of me about requesting off hours while I sat there waiting...didn't even great me, AND handed me half of my order with a head nod to leave, lol! The audacity was real! So right there, evidence that the Skyland location is unmatched in customer service. I'll stay with "my" Starbucks! Thank you!“

“This is a much better location than the Grand Hyatt across the street. It’s very spacious. There’s a large wall counter with outlets to get your work done. Friendly service. Big clean restrooms. And the iced coffee was brewed fresh and strong during my visits.“

“This has to be the absolute best Starbucks in the DMV. The love and hospitality they have to everyone is super! My granddaughter and I come often and they know she loves the donuts after school ?. I appreciate each worker and encourage them to continue the excellent service!“

“This Starbucks on Michigan Ave NE in DC had a pleasant staff working this morning. The only issue was the guda sandwiches were kind of old & when cooked had a tough bun when eaten. Other than that the food is, most of the time, decent there even though you cannot really customize the food with different toppings/items because it all is frozen (& everyone knows this who is an avid patron of Starbucks -- & overpriced). But you get fast service most of the time & I really go there for their coffees & lattes from a qualified, trained Bautista.

Parking: THIS IS A VERY BUSY street on the WEEKDAYS!YOU MUST USE the ParkMobile (or other) DC parking app. The time-limit signs, are usually 2-hours. There is no paying on Sundays, but there IS ON SATURDAYS, usually.

Wheelchair accessibility: This Starbucks is on a "Y" -shaped intersection. The entrance is off Michigan Ave NE, in Washington, DC. There is parking in front of the store's entrance but there is a bike lane then a curb before the sidewalk & then the entrance. To access a wheelchair ramp you must go to the intersection & use the ramp there...“

“Every time I have visited this store, I have had the best customer service experience. Whether it was walking inside or going to drive through. All the staff members were nice and polite. Very thorough in order taking and being sure you got exactly what you ordered. I've visited this location at least 10 times so far and not disappointed yet.“

“Conveniently located Starbucks in the lobby of a busy Hilton. Hard working and friendly staff. Ample seating, but I preferred to take my purchases to a more serene seat in the hotel lobby adjacent to this shop. It's not the most serene atmosphere. TIP: order ahead via the mobile app when there is a line. This hotel is connected to the Metro and in the morning there is a commuter rush.“

“Imani (I hope I got her name right - she wears beautiful knit hats!) and the rest of the morning weekday team are such a delight. Even when it's busy and drinks are backed up, the baristas are positive and have a great energy interacting with everyone waiting. Imani was on the ball this morning and helped get my drink fast when I was in a crunch. She's the best!“

“Very nice place to take a break on JBAB.I am not a coffee fan. I have friends and family members that are, very much, coffee fans. That means that they like Starbucks. So I have been to many Starbucks over the years. I wanted to put that in context before I said this. This is a very nice Starbucks! It is located on the north side of the parking lot from the Exchange on Joint Base Alexandria Bolling. It is a corner store and has large windows along the front of the store. The inside of the store has limited seating options. It has a tile floor and a slatted wood counter There is a single large tall table in the center and some seats along 2 walls to the left as you enter. The store was very inviting and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The counter is located straight ahead as you enter. The menu is behind the counter and they had a good selection of food and drinks that you would expect at these stores. You order at one end of the counter and pay and your drinks are delivered at the other end. I got an iced tea and was pleased with the results. Overall it was a very pleasant experience that I would recommend to travelers in the area both as a respite from a busy travel day or just a place to get a good relaxing drink. Enjoy!“

“You got to admire the staff who really have to handle constant traffic given the proximity to the Capitol. The upstairs is nice and quiet and seemingly a secret if you don't know that it's there.

Parking: Best to pickup than try to park“

“I was here on St. Patricks Day for a meeting in the area. The store was super clean and fresh and had really cute St. Patrick's Day decorations. Service was very fast with no delay despite the fact I could see they had many "call before" orders. People were coming in and grabbing coffees and eats while I was there, yet my order was out in less than 3 minutes! Staff were friendly, cheerful and clearly engage well with their locals yet I was also greeted with a smile and chat despite it being my first time there. I love that! Starbucks did well hiring here! My coffee was delicious and hit the spot and my food was yum. I'd come here again if I am in that area again!

Parking: Easy to get to and well signposted. Some parking in the area, not just for cars but also handy bike spots close by so that makes it easy if passing by and want a coffee on a whim!

Kid-friendliness: For sure - they have kid friendly food and drinks and easy to get service there. I didnt have kids with me but imagine the staff here are very kid-friendly based on their cheerfulness and demeanour! I bet they chat to local kids that come in with their parents all the time!“

“Great location and lovely staff working here - always a smile, hello, and cheerful engagement. There are some constant staff and then some rotation but have to say I always feel valued and appreciated as a customer. They are super fast at doing your drinks and food. I do order a few minutes before I go there as I live down the road and its handy to get the order in, breeze in and they have it ready. I also don't mind waiting but figure sometimes its easier for them when you order ahead.Location is always spotless and there is nearly always someone cleaning up, wiping floors or making sure its clean. They do have seating outside the store which closes in the evenings but is usually well set with students from AU and retirees and business folks doing interviews and meetings. They also have outside seating which is fab in the warmer weather. Depending on the time of day you may or may not be lucky to get seating. In winter there are some seats along the walkways to the medical center so if you're stuck walk down the corridor and you'll find some spots to park yourself.Great beverages, tasty treats and great staff. I love it!“

“Say what you like about coffee houses but Starbucks consistently delivers a very enjoyable, high quality coffee that gives me the level of satisfaction few other coffee houses do with consistency! I love that I can order a coffee drink I love and know it will deliver. Lately I've bravely expanded beyond my constant venti skinny Caramel macchiato and have tried several of their new drinks. The pearl iced teas are a new summer winner for me. I love the freshness, the flavor, the right hit of flavor and the pearls. Now those bring it alive and the taste when they burst on your mouth totally compliments the iced tea flavor! Yum, count me in!! Also love the new pineapple cake. That's a light breath of fresh flavor. The portion is super generous, I get two treats out of one, cheating my sweet tooth!!

“This location is closest to my office and it’s a great spot to meet folks. There are tables inside and a ramp down to order at the barista station. They’re fast and reliable (although during peak times I would HIGHLY recommend ordering ahead!).“

“I work at The Pendry as the Front Office Manager and had a little difficult day with our guests. I stepped into Starbucks for a little pick me up. Nola asked me how my day was going. I informed her that it was a challenging day with guests. Her words to me were , “what would you like to order, we are here to make it right” she was so kind and thoughtful and gave me a cake pop on the house. She listened to the subtle cues and her hospitality was tremendous! Instantly I felt taken care of, valued, and I want to come back to see her. It is the little things that go a long way. “Marriot hotels are always good places to stay. Being members we booked the Washington DC property for a night. The hotel is pet friendly and we had our dog accompany us. Check in was smooth, as were bell boy services to get in bags. Rooms are well appointed with coffee maker and supplements. Members lounge offers refreshments morning and evening. There is a Starbucks outlet on board which we used. Valet parking is recommended if you have your own car. The hotel is 15 minutes away from The White House - Lincoln memorial- Victory Tower- War memorial etc. The staff is courteous and attentive. Security people are watchful for guest safety. Worth to stay here if you come to DC.“

“I walk two extra blocks passing another Starbucks to come to this location. I’m always greeted and the service is quick. They don’t let you stand there while making drinks for those not in the cafe. “Stopped by to get some of my favorite items, a caramel macchiato and a slice of iced lemon poundcake (loaf). There was no line (yay) and the baristas were very friendly and helpful with placing my order. My drink was made to perfection and the poundcake tasted amazing per usual. I haven’t ordered the poundcake in awhile so I just noticed that it now comes individually wrapped, which I think is great.“

“I have been to this Starbucks in September when I was visiting Washington DC. This Starbucks is located very close to the Smithsonian zoological park. I came here to get a hot chocolate as I waited for the zoological park to open for the day. The ambience was very pleasant and there was seating available. “This 5 star review is for the Assistant Store Director only.I work as an EMT in DC. This morning my partner and I went into see if this location was honoring the discounted cup of coffee for first responders. The barista who was there was very rude, rolled her eyes, and was short with not only my partner and I, but with the customers in front of us. She very rudely told my partner the discount ended the 30th and they would not honor a cup of coffee. My partner and I then walked out and got chased down by the Safeway Assistant Store Director who asked what had happened and why we left. We explained we thought the discount was still going on since we had recently gotten a cup of coffee a couple days prior at another location. The Assistant Director then urged us to please come back in and he would offer the deal as he had not received any memo regarding discontinuing the discount. I wish I had gotten the gentleman's name, but I thank you sir for displaying such great customer service.
