“Starbucks across the street from Catholic University is super convenient for students, especially since they’re open every day from 5:30 AM to 7 PM. The large seating area is great if you're between classes or need to get some work done—there’s plenty of space to spread out.

This location is usually pretty busy, and I’ve had a few instances where my advanced mobile order wasn’t ready when I arrived. The staff says it’s because drinks sometimes get stolen if left out, which can be a bit frustrating. Overall, the staff is helpful, though they don’t always go out of their way. The drinks themselves are fairly consistent, just like at any other Starbucks, so you know what to expect there.“

“This is a much better location than the Grand Hyatt across the street. It’s very spacious. There’s a large wall counter with outlets to get your work done. Friendly service. Big clean restrooms. And the iced coffee was brewed fresh and strong during my visits.“

“One of the nicer Starbucks I've visited. Good ambience for hanging out. Cozy. My favorite food at Starbucks is the spinach feta egg wrap. The coffee is decent, but there are more impressive coffee drinks at other places, like Peets, Philz coffee, or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf on the west coast.“

“I had a fantastic experience at this Starbucks on Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE! The staff here are truly awesome – friendly, welcoming, and always ready to make your drink just the way you like it. “Conveniently located Starbucks in the lobby of a busy Hilton. Hard working and friendly staff. Ample seating, but I preferred to take my purchases to a more serene seat in the hotel lobby adjacent to this shop. It's not the most serene atmosphere. TIP: order ahead via the mobile app when there is a line. This hotel is connected to the Metro and in the morning there is a commuter rush.“

“Great community store and great staff- Nicole, Jorge, Kim, Caroline, Andrew, Julia, Marvic, Rose, Darren, Asian and everyone are great people and deliver great service. Only concern is that the temperature is consistently too cold making it extremely uncomfortable to sit and do work. Otherwise, a great place in a great community!!“

“Was staying down the street and used this Starbucks (Columbia road/18th ST in NW DC) for 6 days. Arrived very early each day - they open at 5 am.

Staff in general was friendly and efficient, the food and beverages were all good. Lots of seating including 4 very comfy chairs around a coffee table near the window. Clean bathrooms and store. Good music played.

Could not ask for anything more from a Starbucks.“

“The place is always consistent and friendly. My only 4 star is that the place is gotten smaller with the demand of the population increasing in the neighborhood. I hope soon the upgrade the inside a little more so the staff also has plenty of space to their work too.“

“Great location and lovely staff working here - always a smile, hello, and cheerful engagement. There are some constant staff and then some rotation but have to say I always feel valued and appreciated as a customer. They are super fast at doing your drinks and food. I do order a few minutes before I go there as I live down the road and its handy to get the order in, breeze in and they have it ready. I also don't mind waiting but figure sometimes its easier for them when you order ahead.Location is always spotless and there is nearly always someone cleaning up, wiping floors or making sure its clean. They do have seating outside the store which closes in the evenings but is usually well set with students from AU and retirees and business folks doing interviews and meetings. They also have outside seating which is fab in the warmer weather. Depending on the time of day you may or may not be lucky to get seating. In winter there are some seats along the walkways to the medical center so if you're stuck walk down the corridor and you'll find some spots to park yourself.Great beverages, tasty treats and great staff. I love it!“

“Very nice place to take a break on JBAB.I am not a coffee fan. I have friends and family members that are, very much, coffee fans. That means that they like Starbucks. So I have been to many Starbucks over the years. I wanted to put that in context before I said this. This is a very nice Starbucks! It is located on the north side of the parking lot from the Exchange on Joint Base Alexandria Bolling. It is a corner store and has large windows along the front of the store. The inside of the store has limited seating options. It has a tile floor and a slatted wood counter There is a single large tall table in the center and some seats along 2 walls to the left as you enter. The store was very inviting and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The counter is located straight ahead as you enter. The menu is behind the counter and they had a good selection of food and drinks that you would expect at these stores. You order at one end of the counter and pay and your drinks are delivered at the other end. I got an iced tea and was pleased with the results. Overall it was a very pleasant experience that I would recommend to travelers in the area both as a respite from a busy travel day or just a place to get a good relaxing drink. Enjoy!“

“Say what you like about coffee houses but Starbucks consistently delivers a very enjoyable, high quality coffee that gives me the level of satisfaction few other coffee houses do with consistency! I love that I can order a coffee drink I love and know it will deliver. Lately I've bravely expanded beyond my constant venti skinny Caramel macchiato and have tried several of their new drinks. The pearl iced teas are a new summer winner for me. I love the freshness, the flavor, the right hit of flavor and the pearls. Now those bring it alive and the taste when they burst on your mouth totally compliments the iced tea flavor! Yum, count me in!! Also love the new pineapple cake. That's a light breath of fresh flavor. The portion is super generous, I get two treats out of one, cheating my sweet tooth!!

“The Starbucks across from the Nat’l Zoo is hands down the best Starbucks there is. The people are so friendly and so efficient they brighten my day every time I go in there. No other Starbucks can compare. I feel like other Starbucks are incompetent and they just don’t put any effort in. Every employee at the zoo is amazing and they should train all other Starbucks. “I was here on St. Patricks Day for a meeting in the area. The store was super clean and fresh and had really cute St. Patrick's Day decorations. Service was very fast with no delay despite the fact I could see they had many "call before" orders. People were coming in and grabbing coffees and eats while I was there, yet my order was out in less than 3 minutes! Staff were friendly, cheerful and clearly engage well with their locals yet I was also greeted with a smile and chat despite it being my first time there. I love that! Starbucks did well hiring here! My coffee was delicious and hit the spot and my food was yum. I'd come here again if I am in that area again!

Parking: Easy to get to and well signposted. Some parking in the area, not just for cars but also handy bike spots close by so that makes it easy if passing by and want a coffee on a whim!

Kid-friendliness: For sure - they have kid friendly food and drinks and easy to get service there. I didnt have kids with me but imagine the staff here are very kid-friendly based on their cheerfulness and demeanour! I bet they chat to local kids that come in with their parents all the time!“

“This Starbucks is my go to Starbucks when I’m working out of the office because it’s down the street from my sons daycare. Today I was here at 10am ish. And order a latte based on the recommendation from the barista. I also order the bacon breakfast sandwich. When I bit into the sandwich it was still very cold. They remade it no issues. I should mention today is the day Starbucks brought back the free refills and the mug service. So I ordered my coffee in the mug because I knew I’d be here till around 5pm. When I went to get refill it was my surprise I could not. I was informed that I didn’t order the correct drink even though when I was ordering I excitedly told the barista that I was excited about the refills and ordered it in the mug for that purpose. Despite this the wonderful store manager Josh took the time to explain to me what coffees and teas qualified and he gave me a refill anyway even though my drink didn’t qualify. I really appreciated that as I didn’t believe it was my fault. Love this Takoma location. Thanks Josh!“

“This 5 star review is for the Assistant Store Director only.I work as an EMT in DC. This morning my partner and I went into see if this location was honoring the discounted cup of coffee for first responders. The barista who was there was very rude, rolled her eyes, and was short with not only my partner and I, but with the customers in front of us. She very rudely told my partner the discount ended the 30th and they would not honor a cup of coffee. My partner and I then walked out and got chased down by the Safeway Assistant Store Director who asked what had happened and why we left. We explained we thought the discount was still going on since we had recently gotten a cup of coffee a couple days prior at another location. The Assistant Director then urged us to please come back in and he would offer the deal as he had not received any memo regarding discontinuing the discount. I wish I had gotten the gentleman's name, but I thank you sir for displaying such great customer service. My partner and I appreciate the cup of coffee this morning as it is already starting off a busy day.To the Barista who was rude, rolling her eyes, complaining through every step of pouring iced coffee into a cup for my partner and I... “I came into the store a little after 10am as I normally do and was promptly greeted from the staff. I ordered an ice grande blonde vanilla latte and ham & cheese crossaint as I usually do. The staff were trying to be as quick as possible even with the store being almost filled to compacity. Santana, who made my drink was absolutely fantastic! I watched her make multiple drinks on two separate machines at one time trying her best to get drinks out as soon as possible. She was absolutely terrific, fast and as sweet as can be.“
