“Yes, yes, yes! I have been meaning to try Hiyakawa and after this visit I am so sorry I didn't come sooner. Everything was not only delicious, fresh and authentic, but the service was more than impecable, it was like meeting new friends you can't wait to hang out with again.
I want to emphasize the authentic flavors and freshness of the product. It did feel I was back in Japan having a meal.
We chose the omakase option and it was divine, and after praising its deliciousness, I was told it changed monthly! Yay!
But I also want to come back and try many of the items in their regular a la carte menu.
The sake options were wonderful and the wonderful couple sitting next to us shared their wine list will not disappoint.
I want to apologize for not having any food pics. I will definitely will update with those on my next visit and there will definitely be many more.
I am adding one the staff hilariously and graciously posed with me and my new friends. Yes, it was as fun as it looks. Come, you will wonder like me why didn't you sooner.“

“15 course tasting Japanese omakase, you can taste the freshness in every bite. Some of the best tuna you will have in Miami. The 2 chefs are in action right in front of you and 11 more people max. Big eaters will think it’s not enough food to fill the stomach. But you can alway order extra sashimi in the ones you liked. We ordered some extra O-toro, Chu-toro and the Unagi with caviar. It was so delicious.“

“What a great experience! Right in South Miami! Our waitress, Karen, was amazing! Very attentive and extremely helpful with the menu and drinks. She recommended the Omakase Signature to share. It comes with a variety of sushi. Compliments to the chef, it was exactly what we wanted and needed. 100% recommend coming down and seeing Karen and enjoying the delicious food and atmosphere!“

“We had an incredible experience at Pari Pari for my birthday celebration with our family. Everything was perfect, starting with the ambience to the service to the food. The hand rolls were absolutely delicious and we will 100% be back! Particular shout out to the service from Xander, Malcolm, Shirley and others“
“I’m not one to leave a bunch of reviews. Double Knot was something the Ave desperately needed. The atmosphere and welcome are second to none. We sat at the bar and Nikki took the best care of us we have had in years. She was also running service bar for the whole restaurant. Absolutely crushed it! The manager Nicole was more than accommodating. She was attentive and I basically let her order my entire meal. There were no misses. From the tuna tartar to the wagyu bavette steak, everything came out quick and presented perfectly and delicious. Edamame dumplings were incredible. All the nigiri and small plates as well. Probably the most unlikely star of the show was their soft serve ice cream. Basically had everything on the menu and already planning my next visit. What an awesome experience. 10/10“

“We had a wonderful lunch at Sushi Sake Miami Springs with my wife and another couple, who are also friends and Miami Springs residents. Everything was excellent, the food, the service, and the overall value.
Marianna took great care of us and made the experience even better with her friendly and attentive service. The servings were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and the quality of the food was outstanding. I am always especially careful when eating raw fish, but everything we ordered tasted fresh, well prepared, and of excellent quality.
We are lucky to have a place like Sushi Sake right here in Miami Springs, so close to home. We will definitely be back!“

“The food prepared by the chefs was second to none. The care, freshness, and authenticity was reflected in every piece of sushi served. That being said, the drink service provided by the restaurant staff was vastly lacking. My wife and I received our drinks during the last course of the meal, after receiving two rounds of drinks that were wrong orders. Fortunately the sushi and chefs made up for the dehydration.“

“How do I begin? Miami is lucky to have a place like this. It truly feels like a portal to Japan. My wife and I dined here on Friday, May 15 at 9PM, and it was hands down one of the best omakase experiences we’ve ever had (and we've had dozens in America and Japan). From the moment we walked in, we were thoroughly impressed and ended the night with one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. If you love sushi, this is absolutely the place to be.
Everything about the restaurant feels intentional and immersive. From the wall art and intimate counter seating to the peaceful Japanese garden in the back, every detail adds to the atmosphere. Even the train passing nearby somehow makes it feel like you’re sitting in a hidden sushi counter in Tokyo. It’s a must-try experience and worth every penny.
The chef was warm, welcoming, and incredibly personable, a truly gracious host who made the evening feel special from start to finish. Watching the chefs work up close highlighted the level of craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail behind every course served.
One of the things that stood out most was how refined and balanced the entire omakase felt. Every dish showcased restraint and confidence rather than relying on gimmicks. The wagyu beef was the best bite of A5 weve had anywhere. The seafood quality was exceptional across the board. The shrimp nigiri was unbelievably sweet and delicate, the silver-skinned fish had perfect texture and knife work, and the fatty tuna courses completely melted in your mouth. The uni, caviar pairings, and layered flavors throughout the meal felt luxurious without ever becoming overwhelming.
The pacing of the courses was also flawless. The warm dishes, broths, tempura, and composed plates broke up the nigiri beautifully and made the experience feel thoughtful and complete rather than repetitive. Even something as simple as the tamago had remarkable texture and flavor. Every course genuinely felt like edible art 🍣
This is the kind of omakase that reminds you why traditional sushi craftsmanship matters. Elegant, balanced, immersive, and genuinely unforgettable. Easily a top-tier omakase experience and one we cannot wait to return to.
We are Grateful and thankful to have been able to try this restaraunt. Were counting down the days that we can return to Ogawa. A big thank you to the Chef and Staff from the bottom of our hearts. I cant even put it into words how amazing the food here is. Its incredibly exceptional.“

“If I could give this 6 stars, I would. Everything was phenomenal. The service. The food. The coziness in the restaurant. We ordered the chicharrones, broccolini, short rib and chicken. Everything came to perfection. Truly. Also I’m a carrot cake snob and that was by the far the best carrot cake I’ve had in Miami. It was so refreshing with the Greek yogurt cream and meringue slices on top. This is my new favorite restaurant in Miami! But seriously, if you’re reading this, you have to try the broccolini and chicharrones! You will not regret it.“

“I live almost across from this place but only recently tried it when a friend was in town. It’s easily my favorite SoBe restaurant now! I loved the chill and cozy atmosphere and the service was absolutely top-notch. The manager/owner was there and chatted with us and was so kind, as was our waitress. A lot of SoBe restaurants just treat you like a tourist they want to milk but this place was so different, it was very genuine and they clearly really care about their customers. I’m a vegetarian and there was a surprising amount of options on the menu for me - I especially loved the veggie rolls and avocado crispy rice! We ordered off both the happy hour and regular menu, the prices on both were excellent. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming here a lot in the future!“

“We had an amazing experience at The Blind Tiger! The food was absolutely delicious, and everything was beautifully presented—including the desserts. What really made the evening special was our waitress, Seda. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Her recommendations were great, she checked on us at just the right times, and her positive attitude made the entire experience memorable. Exceptional service like hers is hard to find. We can’t wait to come back and will definitely be asking for Seda again. Highly recommend!“

“This is my new sushi spot. Easiest 5 star I think I’ve reviewed. I love sushi and Tokyo Tuna has some of the freshest sashimi I’ve ever had specifically the tuna. The Avocado roll was pretty good and the nigiri was a perfect rice to fish ratio. The spicy octopus and gyoza were a great appetizer. And the lychee drink was a great addition to the overall meal. The Thai donuts were literally perfect, soft inside with some having nice layers and others being a nice ball of dough ( great server recommendation). The mochi was alright, definitely the worst part but when everything is on point something to be the worst. Our service was good, didn’t wait too long and we didn’t feel rushed. Will 100% be back to try other dishes.“

“Yall. I left STUFFED after having this tasting menu from Belly Fish. I’m usually not willing to do tasting menus because of the lack of variety for the price and I usually also leave hungry, but not with this one. The pricing is great and the portions are fat! I got the red miso crab soup, yellowfin tuna tataki & chirashi bowl with everything. If I had ordered that off the normal menu it would have been $57 vs the $49. Save some money and eat great with this bomb tasting menu. The space is gorgeous, we didn’t have to wait for a table and our server was amazing. Ask for Dario when you go in!“

“We went there for my birthday and we loved it! The restaurant's ambience was so inviting and upscale, food was very interesting and delicious, and drinks were pretty! We loved crispy rice spicy tuna- very crispy, and rock shrimps were great which made us order rock shrimp roll( my favorite)! Drinks were a little strange- fortune teller was very specific, i was expecting more whisky flavor, but it tasted more sour. The restaurant is very beautiful, love it that it's outside but feels like you are in Japanese garden! We will be back!!!“

“I would not just recommend this place I would come out of my way again in a heartbeat. It is so relieving to actually find a place that has great service again. I feel after the pandemic, it's really changed the service force. It was such a fresh breath of air to have such an amazing time and service! I had a party of 11 of us for my birthday, and we were treated with smiles, and taken care of like kings. The food was phenomenal! Some of the most beautiful, fresh seafood I have ever had in my entire life. I've been traveling seven years full-time, and I will definitely be coming back just to eat here! The patio is absolutely gorgeous! It will soon be right on the ocean once they are finishing some construction! Thank you again for such a exhilarating time and a restaurant memory I will never forget and can't wait to see you soon! Best of luck to you all.:-) Brad“

“Japanese cuisine at its finest — every bite felt like it was crafted from the heart. My wonderful friends took me for my birthday dinner. The service was amazing! Thank you, Vanessa!!! About my pallets that were blown away!
The fish was unbelievably fresh, melting like butter with such delicate texture and clean flavors that each piece felt unforgettable. The ingredients were exceptional, allowing the natural taste of every element to shine. Even the wasabi had a vibrant freshness and subtle heat that elevated the experience instead of overpowering it.
This was more than just a meal — it felt like art, passion, and tradition served on a plate. I was so impressed by the exquisite flavors and attention to detail that I found myself radiating with joy and almost crying out of happiness. It was one of those rare dining experiences that stays with you long after the last bite.
A truly unforgettable culinary journey.“

“The concept of this restaurant is fantastic, and it’s why I’ve come back twice. Also, it is very beautiful! It has all the potential to be a five-star experience.
The biggest missed opportunity is the chef interaction. Since they’re cooking directly in front of guests, a simple greeting or brief explanation of each dish would make the experience so much more engaging.
The service was also underwhelming. With gratuity already included, the staff didn’t seem very attentive or welcoming.
The food is filling, and most of the rolls are delicious, though some, like the crab mayo roll, were underwhelming.
A little more warmth and attention to hospitality would turn it into a restaurant people would be excited to return to.“
“We had an amazing experience at Katana Sushi, and Angel made it even better. From the moment we sat down, he was incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great dining experience.
What really stood out was how knowledgeable he was about the menu. He explained the different rolls, ingredients, and flavor combinations in detail, and his recommendations were spot on. It was clear that he truly knows the food and takes pride in helping guests find dishes they’ll love.
Excellent service like Angel’s is hard to find. He made us feel welcomed, never rushed us, and checked in at just the right times. We’ll definitely be coming back, and we’ll be asking for Angel again. Thank you for making our dinner such a great experience!“

“Sushi Siam is an absolute hidden gem. Their menu is extensive, featuring a mix of Thai and Japanese dishes, so there’s something for everyone.
The sushi is fresh, beautifully presented, and expertly prepared — it’s as much a treat for the eyes as it is for your taste buds. Beyond sushi, they also serve fantastic Pad Thai and Tom Kha Kai soup that are definitely worth trying.
What’s unique about this spot is that it’s almost always empty, likely because most of their business is takeout. But I actually loved the solitude — it feels like a private dining experience.
The building itself is definitely dated, giving off some serious Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom vibes (you’ll get the reference once you go). But honestly, that throwback vintage sushi restaurant vibe adds to its charm and makes the experience feel special.
If you’re looking for high-quality sushi and Thai food in a relaxed, low-key environment, Sushi Siam is a must-try.“
