“This is my go-to spot after I get my hair cut at nearby Major League barber shop. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch. I've had the pollo asada and the chorizo & egg tacos, both with rice and beans. 🤤 This is a Veteran/family owned business that takes their food creations and customer relations seriously. It is also SoCal Mex based flavor-wise and takes me back to the neighborhood taco shops in L.A. and San Diego. I look forward to eventually trying everything on the menu.“

“This is a literal hole in the wall, easy to miss in a covered parking lot near the McDonald’s. There’s outdoor seating, pretty much right in the parking lot.

Food quantity is high and the sushi rolls have some of the lowest ratios (in a good way) of rice to non-rice. The fried food was very good, not too greasy with a great crunch and the food tasted very fresh.

Service was exceptionally friendly. The nice man that took our order and served us even brought out some free bottles of water for us.

“First timr trying Catania Ristorante Italiano at Waimalu Shopping Center. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. Parking is also a challenge during the busy times. Chinese owners serving Italian food. The food is good, but not memorable good. Pasta is cooked well and their garlic cheese bread is very good. Spaghetti sauce too runny, but the Seafood Linguine is delicious. Prices are affordable, considering the portion size is generous and they don't skimp on the protein. Another plus, it's BYOB, so you can save some e $$$ on your bill.

“One of the best meals I’ve had while traveling in the States! Reminded me of the pho I used to have as a child.

The pho itself was loaded with beef and tendon, the soup was flavourful and sweet and you could taste there was no MSG added. I also ordered the chicken banh mi; the bun was crispy and loaded with chicken and condiments.

“I randomly decided to try out this place and I got the Garlic Chicken plate. The chicken was cooked very well and the service was super fast (I was there at 9 PM). From walking in the ambiance was honestly not there. I feel like if this place had a good feel when you walked in, it could be top tier. I would've given it 4.5 stars if it was possible because it was missing just a little bit of flavor, but I understand that it is primarily a ramen restaurant. I will definitely try it again!“

“The food is always good. Our favorites are the fried chicken, lao sausage, and cashew nut chicken. Sometimes, there's only one server, but they are very polite and efficient and not the kind that get grumpy because they're the only one on the floor.“

“This is the perfect hidden food place that locals go to. Good food, good prices and the service is practically non existent. Meaning, it's 99% take out. There is a small table outside but that's why it's cool. No nonsense food at a good price. I highly recommend the Bento #1, the Katsu and the fried chicken.

Parking: The parking is hard to find but if you wait for a few minutes someone will leave.“

“My husband and I spent 24 hours in Honolulu and discovered this wonderful Thai Bistro! The service was very friendly and attentive to our preferences. We ordered spring rolls, brown rice, Penang chicken curry, and green curried chicken. Oh, the flavors were perfectly blended! It’s the best Thai food we’ve had outside of Thailand. “Tonight we went to Uncle figuring on having a couple of cocktails . When we heard that they had changed some of the items on the menu we decided to have dinner.
We started out with their Caesar Salad which was huge and so fresh . Followed by their Seafood Chowder. I got to tell you I’ve had the chowder before but this time it was so much better. Lots of flavor and so generous with the clams and fish. I told Melissa ( our waitress ) what did they do to it ? She said they make the soup to order. That’s when we looked around the room and every table was having soup. Can’t wait to go back to have it again.
I’m a French Fries fanatic so had to try their Truffle Fries .oh man! I had to eat it slow cause I wanted to savor each bite.
Now if your a Fish person I say you got to try their Blackened Fish tonight it was Opakapaka. Man that fish just melted in my mouth. I had such a big smile on my face. Told my friend “ man, you got to try this. I was sorry to do that cause she had to have more. Being such a good friend as I am I said help yourself( ( mistake one became two , then three times) But, it was ok cause the portion was so big I had plenty more even had to take home for my lunch tomorrow.
Hey, I got to tell you the staff over there was just like family. Melissa our server was one riot . She had us rolling all night. She was the best! You like laugh look for her. You not going stop laughing.
The only disappointment was that we were so full that we couldn’t have dessert. Next time I’m going to start with dessert.
I suggest that you treat yourself and go check them out . They are under new management. I have to say from a point of view of a person that have worked in the food industry for over 20 years that Uncles has tipped the scales. From the chef to the front house crew they now have the passion and it shows, in their food So you guys out there give them a try!

“There was a wonderful koi pond in this restaurant. It was not that busy. However, they seemed shorthanded because I kept looking for the waitress for a take out box. Finally, I had to stand up and ask for one from a man in a red shirt who appeared to be helping another table. The food was good. I especially liked the tempura of pumpkin, and string beans, the shrimp tempura was perfect. I ordered miso Butterfish. My husband liked it, but I did not like that it had a lot of black char on it. I read somewhere that the black Char is carcinogenic.“

“We got the chop steak kit a few days ago. It came with everything we needed to prepare the dish even the oil. We had enough for 2 dinners and we truly enjoyed it. Lots of veggies, the way we like it and the meat was plentiful and tender. It was so tasty. We look forward to making future purchases of different dishes. “We eat here at least twice a month. Food is always fresh and service is normally fast and friendly. The restaurant is fun and you order from your mobile device and the food is delivered via a train system that runs along the tables. I feel the prices are fair and they have the best French fries! Only complaint would be that this location is always very busy and we usually have to wait 15-30 minutes for a table.“

“We went for lunch on Good Friday and it was not so crowded. Service is great. Food is nice. The setting was not formal and it may pass as a casual setting but not as a casual diner setting thing.

We ordered mozarella in carroza, linguine chicken anchovy olio and chicken portobello. The mozarella and its dip is perfect. The linguine chicken anchovy oil is not salty. The chicken portobello is somewhat on the oily side. But all in all, it was a great food and experience.

I would love to try the other dishes.

“I lived in Korea for six years. It’s hard to find that perfect beef and leaf joint you remember from your Sam gyup sal days in Korea, but this place can do it.#1. The staff is great. I enjoy seeing them every time I go.#2. They have the soju, the Korean beer, the makgeolli.#3 The BBQ is on point, the sides are delicious and the kimchi is always great.If someone doesn’t like this place, then they don’t like real Korean food. “I usually call in my order so I don't need to wait in line. But, they are busy especially during late morning and lunch time that they don't answer the phone right away. Need to call several times before someone answers. Once in awhile you would have to wait for someone to help at pick-up counter because they are helping the walk-in customers.

They do have a good selection of food, but if you go too early not all choices are out.
