“Tried this korean bbq place for the first time and well. It's a bit small in terms of space when you're trying to seat people and let alone, walk around... or even get up from the seat with the limited space you have to move around. But I'll say that this place is pretty good for a small business, the food tasted good itself. For now, we got the mochiko chicken to start off with because it was a bit more familiar. But we'll be back here to try other foods when we can.“

“Ordered their roast pork and char sui. It is the best! They do run out so it is best to call before heading out in the afternoon; especially on the weekend. (Learned the hardway...picked up after lunch and decided to get more. It was about 3pm - ran out! Maybe had a big take out order?)

“This is the perfect hidden food place that locals go to. Good food, good prices and the service is practically non existent. Meaning, it's 99% take out. There is a small table outside but that's why it's cool. No nonsense food at a good price. I highly recommend the Bento #1, the Katsu and the fried chicken.

“Fantastic #4 BBQ chicken. Lots of food for a good price in Hawaii. This isn't a great sit down place but I was planning to take food to go. I loved they didn't take 30 seconds to get my food. They cooked the chicken fresh on the spot. I waited about 15 minutes which is how long chicken should take to cook. Great spot.“

I usually ask them for salt and pepper chicken with curry. They add fresh spicy peppers, jalapeños I think, and onions. Its really amazing. I wanted to change it up and asked for steamed fish with curry and just peppers and Ming was like "Sure, I can do that." I didn't want rice or Mac either and he said no problem. This is what I got! Nice and spicy, fish is so tender and their curry sauce is always my go to. I'm serious, its pretty amazing!!“

“You can also eat in the store, but they give you food in disposable containers. After ordering, it was so large that I had no choice but to go, so it was convenient for customers. I ordered one serving of the special set and kimchi pancake, and 2 adults and a 3-year-old child ate it together. I packed the leftover rice and side dishes well and was able to eat until breakfast. When you order a dish, you can choose four side dishes, including kimchi, seasoned seaweed, stewed potatoes, japchae, seasoned bean sprouts, seasoned cabbage, etc. All four we chose were delicious and both the ribs and kimchi pancakes were excellent restaurants. “This restaurant is on the Marine Corps base and you cannot get on base and to the restaurant without a military ID. Google maps takes you to a closed side gate. You need to enter through the main gate. This used to be a military club. Now, it is an all ranks facility. The setting is almost second to none. You can sit outside under a huge spreading tree and watch the sun set from one of the highest locations overlooking Pearl Harbor. The panorama of the entire area is spectacular. The menu was limited, but well prepared. Given the setting, we'd have come if all they were serving was hot dogs. They have Mongolian BBQ on Wednesdays. Suspect that would be a hit.“

“Bob's BBQ has character, a small shop with good food. My brother-in-law was craving meat and they have it. Great pork ribs, beef ribs and chicken. Comes with rice and mac salad. We also had burgers. Crispy bacon made it perfect. The fries were piping hot. Service was nice and efficient. Other customers ordered fish, if we have time before we leave, we csn do another stop.“

Vegetarian options: You can order just the side dishes as a plate mix. They will let you chose 4-5 side dishes items. I love their broccoli and bean sprout side dishes. They also have plain tofu as side dish.

Parking: There's always plenty of parking. We never had a time where we would go looking for parking.“

“I promised I would review this place and totally forgot to get around to it until now.

I am going to give this place 5-stars, because while you need to buy a ticket to the Bowfin Museum to access this truck, I am a firm believer that location accessibility (considering this is basically the only place they seem to be able to secure with the Museum) should NEVER dictate how the business performs.

Actually, it's a blessing that this place was here to begin with. The store that's left of the main entrance has sandwiches and snacks, sure, but it doesn't beat out fresh food.

So, I thank Jake's Food Truck for being at the Memorial and serving me and my grandmother food when we needed it the most!

Now, as for the food, I thoroughly enjoyed having the tenders there. Crispy, flavorful, and goes nicely with the BBQ sauce provided. The fries are an absolutely favorable side to go along with it; can't beat a duo like Tenders & Fries!

The man serving the food was also very polite and focused, keeping up on his work and efficiently tending to customers who approached with inquiries. I visited here around the beginning of February, so if he is still there, tell them that he did a great job. :)

“The Roast Duck Kitchen is always a must visit for me whenever Im visiting.

My family wanted Roast Duck for our family gathering, so I ordered ahead of time. They prepare for you when you arrive. I also ordered a plate of crispy gau gee and fried rice.
