“Tried to make a reservation at the Walnut Room a month or two earlier but everything was booked. Decided to put in a request to be notified on OpenTable if any last minute cancellations and got lucky. Had a great time celebrating my birthday with a friend. We both ordered Mrs. Herring's Original chicken pot pie and I had a Poinsettia cocktail . Our pot pie's were tasty and we enjoyed the petite Walnut Room salad that came as a side. Our waiter Jose was so nice and super efficient. When he found out I was celebrating my birthday, he came back with a beautiful commemorative glass mug from the Walnut Room. Thanks Jose and Macy's for making my 74th birthday extra special!“

Amazing service by Kenny at the Starbucks – 2543 N California Ave, Chicago, IL 60647! 🌟☕

I came in around 7:15 pm and was honestly impressed 🙌. The store was clean, organized, and fully stocked—which is rare for that time of the evening. Even the restrooms were spotless 🚻✨, showing how much pride the team takes in their work.

I ordered the Potato Chive Bake 🥔🌿, and Kenny went above and beyond by letting me know that the Truff Hot Sauces are back 🔥. I was so excited to try them both:

🌱 Green (Jalapeño Lime) → mild heat, zesty and refreshing

⚫ Black (Original) → medium heat, rich and savory

Both are delicious and make the perfect add-on to breakfast sandwiches, bakes, or wraps 🥐🥯. Honestly, this little detail made my visit feel extra special.

The atmosphere was another highlight:

“My neighborhood Starbucks in Chicago is fantastic. The staff is not only friendly but also incredibly efficient. They even offer free pupuccinos for my dog, Micah the Messenger. They also have a nice outdoor seating area with plenty of tables and chairs, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a great cup of coffee while taking in the sights and sounds of the city.“

My SNAP Benefits of $130.00 disappeared. I am now paying for my groceries $126.09 so far this month. The COLA was not intended to subsidize a shortage of SNAP BENEFITS.

Perhaps once the debt ceiling is agreed upon by the politicians will SNAP increase.

Conditions are right for a Republican President in 2024. Imagine the flux of immigrants in our Supermarts pesting for our help, while $30 million intended for them in IL isn't being used.

May 2, 2023:. At Starbuck@Mariano I enjoyed a small coffee and blue berry muffin for $6.30 at Starbuck@Mariano's, before I shopped. Too expensive; I agree.

After I saw new Podiatrist, I had a cup of coffee at SBX at4015 N. Lincoln, with a delicious Biscotti Vanilla with roasted nuts.

Of course it was not cheap ---

“I normally don't review Starbucks but this one just had such a lovely atmosphere. For being inside a Target there's a bunch of little nooks to sit in and quietly work. The main area has big windows looking out on to the river and it just add to the already calming vibe of the place. My order came out quickly and was delicious!
