All were really really great but Kyoten Next Door was phenomenal. I not only left full (rarity for me 🫄🏻) but each course was unexplainably good and chef Jorge was funny, kind, and knowledgeable!

Definitely worth the money for the service and food you get. Finding the location was iffy at first because there’s no signs or anything and it looks like it’s abandoned but once you get in it’s super super nice and cozy.

“I was here for the $79 omakase with my partner and we loved every bite. It wasn’t crowded so it felt like we had the counter to ourselves. The service was great and the chef Sasaki was quiet, but friendly and explained every piece. My absolute favorite pieces were the otoro and the hirame with shiso leaf, but everything was divine and fresh. The matcha ice cream was delicious and they decorated for my birthday. Worth the price. The Jasmine cocktail was great for a strawberry lover but too sweet for me.“

“Best Sushi Restaurant on the planet. Not only was all the food superior than any other Sushi restaurant I've been to. My family and I had a feast.(I mean all the food was good). Very reasonable prices as well. The most astonishing fact about this restaurant was the host (Quam) his amazing knowledge of food and customer service was unlike any other. The Ice cream desert was mind blowing. You don't have to take my word for it, but I guarantee you, you won't find another Sushi restaurant in the city of Chicago as good this one. The ambiance of this establishment is very warm and pleasant. I highly recommend this place for family gatherings, and with people you want to share a special food feast with. I really wanted to have Japanese food (specifically Onigiri) for a Studio Ghibli-themed baby shower, and reached out to several local restaurants. Ekiben was by far the most responsive and fairly priced!

Quaint intimate spot, tucked away on a quiet tree lined street in Ravenswood We had the Seared Tuna Salad, Dragon (spicy shrimp rolls), and the Krispy Spicy Crab roll.
