“Stayed at Harrah’s Casino in Joliet & food at the grill was terrible. Found The Old Fashioned Pancake House Restaurant on Jefferson St in Joliet the next morning and it was amazing. Service was quick, attentive and continuous. Food (breakfast) was simply outstanding and price was very good! I have traveled a lot and this place is a Five Star value in my book.”

The staff made us feel very welcome and taken care of the entire night. They added little cute touches like our picture on the menu that made it feel special and their new space is really modern and perfect for events. We highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions or just a nice dinner out. We have been coming here with our family the last few years and it is an amazing gem in Joliet.”

“I came to use my reward points for my birthday dinner. I surprised to find out the trio special was not a part of this reward. I guess always read the fine print. We ordered the shrimp scampi. The shrimp a bit over cooked but the fettuccine was tasty.
I am sorry to say our server was not attentive and we had to have someone flag her down 3x. To me customer service is key to the tip amount. Regardless of how busy she may be, I believe we were forgotten. The atmosphere is pleasant and overall I'll give a 3.5 star rating.”

Their thin crust pizza is DELICIOUS, which is what keeps me coming back. “Golden Dragon is quick, affordable option. Every time I call in an order there they are always polite and answer any questions I have about the entrée or item. The turnaround from when you place your order to pickup is quick, generally 15-30 mins. The food is always fresh, hot and ready to go. The entrees and soups are fine, but I wasn't real impressed with alot of the appetizers (especially the egg rolls). My favorite item is the Moo Goo Gai Pan combo platter.”

In fact, most toppings are so freshly, separately identifiable, until it's simply a pleasure to take your time ordering your food... but beware of the other customers who don't have the heightened sensories or don't take the time to slow down and notice simple pleasures as such.”

This was my second time at Johnny's but first time at this location. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and the food phenomenal! It's a casual place to grab a great Italian Beef... They have several options besides the Italian Besf which I do plan on trying if I can eat there without ordering my favorite!”

I had the steak sandwich, which was excellent. The bread was soft and fresh, but still a bit crusty like a quality bread will have.

I ordered the chicken nuggets just to try them! They were good, did not disappoint.

Didn't order shakes or Mozzarella sticks, but will definitely be back to try

The food is so tasty and done well but the main reason I comeback is because of the waitress Suzanne! She is so personable and attentive. She lives in the area so you can converse with her about local issues and know she is feeling the pain about things going on in our town right now. She's gentle and funny and really knows her stuff. I depend on her recommendations often. She is a hidden treasure in Joliet and should be recognized for the exceptional job she brings to her job.”

“I placed an order for a jumbo cheese dog and fries and had to wait in the drive thru line over 30 minutes. They said they had a system issue but after reading the reviews I doubt that's the case. I got in line at 6:59 and placed my order it's now 7:33 and I just got the bag. I can't move anywhere because nobody else has their food so I have to sit here and wait. This is absolutely ridiculous. I ordered a jumbo cheese dog with tomato and pickle only and a large fry. I open the bag there's a cup in there with a tomato and pickle in it and a cup of cheese missing my hot dog and my fries. It's now 7:37 and I'm still waiting and my order is incorrect. Who just orders a cup of cheese and a pickle and a tomato. I left there at 8:03 finally with my hot dog and fries”
