Service was quick and efficient, with a fast table turnover, and our food came out quickly and fresh. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience. I also really appreciated the busser’s thoughtfulness. I accidentally left my beanie at the restaurant, and the busser came out to hand it back to me. “We first tried jianbing in Shanghai, and it was a magical experience to get it made right in front of us in a big, round griddle! And they were soooo cheap, like $2 USD. This place is a wonderful version that doesn't have the same magic, but the flavors are great, and there are many versions to match your cravings. The portion is big and satisfying for lunch or dinner. Friendly staff and nice, comfy clean eat in space.“

“We met friends at Lao Peng You for our first visit. They are regulars and we were able to sit outside. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. I ordered the Lovebirds drink which is iced milk tea and Metric cold brew. I really enjoyed it. My husband had the orange wine, another had the Apex Predator and another had a drink brewed for the restaurant.
We started with the dumplings with pork and chive and the Dan Dan noodles. Two of us don't do spicy, so they brought the chili spice on the side. All the taste was amazing. As we love lamb, we ordered the Xi'an Bing which is lamb and cumin bread. The Cong You Bing bread is with green onion and sesame. When they brought these two breads, they also brought scissors to cut it. There was large lovely chunks of lamb.

“I sat in and got the birria tacos, and they were SO good. The horchata, churros, rice, and beans were delicious and tasted authentic too. I’m extremely picky when it comes to Mexican food, so I don’t say this lightly, but everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. The owner was also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel really warm and comforting. You can really tell they care about the food and the people who come in.

“This is definitely some of the better dim sum I’ve had. I’m not sure what it’s called but my favorite one is like shrimp amd egg and it’s a little toasted. And the custard tart is so good. The crust is so flaky“

It is fine if you eat lunch or when they are not so busy but if it’s dinner or weekends you may wait for a while to get foods served. The Kung Pao Chicken is one of my favorites along with their Pork Fried Rice, but I have enjoyed many of their dishes - BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Pot Stickers, Beef Chop Suey on crispy chow mein noodles - all delicious. At first the staff told us that we would have to wait 30 minutes, but instead they decided to push a few tables together—so we could sit. It was very kind and thoughtful of them!! My least favorite dish was the chili pepper chicken, it tasted acidic and me and my friends ate the rice rather the chicken. Its personal preference though, so you might like it! I ordered sesame chicken special for pick-up. I came in and waited patiently till my ordered arrived, so i looked around and I was intrigued by that fish tank with huge fish. It wasn't too crazy busy when I came in, but otherwise I enjoyed my first visit inside. The lunch special only costed me $8 with crab lagoon & fortune cookie! Best affordable deal ever!

The food was just amazing and I see why it took long for it to be made. They put lot of love and care with the big portions! Sesame chicken was flavorful and juicy, chicken fried rice and simply tasty, and crab ragoon was honestly really good despite trying it the first time.
