“It's a little restaurant and there aren't many seats but the food is excellent! I've had the General Tsaos Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and the Chop Suey and every time it's made perfect! They take their time with every dish and it tastes fresh and hot! I highly recommend this restaurant! Also, the Service is excellent!“

“Vito welcomed my friend and I with such love and generosity as soon as we entered! It's quite pleasant and considerate of him to note the heat outdoors and ask if we would like a cup of cold water to cool us down while we made our order decisions. He provided us with first-rate service, and the food arrived quickly! Vito makes this a destination worth traveling to for the purposeful, excellent service alone! I would strongly advise anyone to visit this place! And Vito, thank you very much!“

“I have recently transitioned to a vegan diet. I find most dishes a bit plain because I’m still used to regular food.
Thankfully, the vegetable noodles there are very tasty, regardless of being vegan.
The vegan dumplings are pretty unique too, with that cool mix of tofu and ginger. 🙏🏼“

“Fried shrimp jianbing was a delectable combination of so many textures and flavors wrapped up in a freshly griddled crepe. The textural contrast between the shatteringly crispy wonton sheet and the soft, chewy crepe was downright addictive. Every bite was flavorful: smoky, savory, slightly sweet, a little spicy, and wildly satisfying. It's the comfort of street food in one messy, glorious handful.“

“I wanted to like this place, but I have to say I was a bit let down. The twice cooked pork and vegetable delight came out very quickly, and did taste a bit like it was directly reheated (also thought the flavor was a bit lacking from the twice cooked pork). That being said, the crab noodles which are not pictured were absolutely delicious. In addition, the service was solid and the atmosphere is quite nice. Perfect for a quick meal on a Sunday evening if you’re in the area craving Chinese food. If the twice cooked pork were better, I’d be much more of a fan.“

* = standouts/would highly recommend
All of it was great! So many dumplings in one order; they don’t skimp! We waited about ~35-40 minutes to be seated on a Thursday night around 6:20.“

“Did the karaoke party - - family style food first then karaoke. The crab rangoon is very good as well as the garlic green beans. The orange chicken head very orange-y. Also came with vegetable egg rolls, vegetable fried rice, sushi, dumplings. I thought the rest of the food was just ok but I'd be willing to go back to try food specifically that I prefer and could order. It's byob but he supplies ice and there is liquor on site. Jimmy creates such a lively, fun vibe!!! Definitely an experience!“

“If you are looking good Chinese food in the west loop this is for sure the spot. The staff was very friendly and did a great job at explaining the menu option, they were very accommodating to our diet restrictions & ensured we were satisfied with our meals. I had the tofu and has been one of the best ones I have tried even my known vegetarian friends were a fan. If you have a sweet tooth and want to try something trendy the drumsticks ice cream is also very recommended.“

“This is definitely some of the better dim sum I’ve had. I’m not sure what it’s called but my favorite one is like shrimp amd egg and it’s a little toasted. And the custard tart is so good. The crust is so flaky“

“Tonight we had dinner at the Shanghai Terrace expecting the 'impeccable service' we are used to at the Peninsula, but our experience was incredibly frustrating. What made it worse was that it was a quiet night and the restaurant was not busy, so there was no excuse for the neglect we experienced. Our waiter was consistently inattentive and dismissive. He made poor wine suggestions that didn't pair well with our meal and spent most of the night avoiding our table, refusing to make eye contact even when we clearly and patiently needed assistance. Throughout the meal, he forgot requested condiments and never checked in to see how we were doing. Getting the check was a struggle as he continued to avoid eye contact, and after we finally paid, it took over 20 minutes just to get a to-go box—which he clearly forgot until we asked a second time. For the premium prices charged here, this level of service is unacceptable.“

“Woah!! So good, my friend and I were looking for a bite after checking out The Chicago Temple and thought we'd go for something a new and different. We totally lucked out when we found Jian. Tasty, new cuisine to us, we got the slow roasted pork, butterfly shrimp, and pork floss as well as a avocado banana smoothie and everything was knock out! Total hidden gem dead center in the loop. Will be back. Service was super friendly. So glad we stopped by!“

“Taco Verde is hands down one of our favorite spots for amazing halal tacos! The quality and flavor are consistently outstanding. We absolutely love their Birria Tacos — perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with rich, authentic flavor.
Their Birria Pizza Tacos are a must-try as well. Such a creative twist, loaded with flavor and cooked to perfection. Every bite is satisfying.
What really makes the experience even better is their hospitality. The staff is incredibly welcoming and always happy to provide extra consume upon request without hesitation. Great service, incredible taste, and a fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend Taco Verde!“

“This restaurant is the best! The food is delicious and plenty of heat if you want it—also dishes that are not spicy. Menu has plenty to choose from and new dishes being added each time I go. Some of the best Sichuan food anywhere. Excellent, friendly service. Lovely ambiance. Right in Printer’s row, lots of street parking. Highly recommended!“

“The food is always solid, poIite staff, pretty fast outside of lunch/dinner hour. If you are looking for a recommendation, you can't go wrong with the basics: chicken fried rice, orange chicken, egg foo young, or wonton soup. Items I also recommend: Mongolian beef or salt and pepper shrimp.
I eat there so frequently I felt it's time I owed them the rating they deserve.“

Delivery is always on time or better than anticipated! Hot foods are delivered still HOT and cold drinks are still cold fridge temps 👌“

“Jjajangmyeon blacker than your ex's heart.
Tangsuyuk with a crunch that shatters like your heart from that same ex.
I'm really just heart broken knowing it's kind of a trek for me when I'm in Chicago becuase as good as the public transpo is in Chicago I'm in Lakeview and getting to Albany Park takes a while.
The outside looks like a Chinese Bodega in Queens NY, but the inside looks like it's been family owned and operated for decades, which it has, that sort of authenticity can't be faked. With a menu bigger than Cheesecake factories, these chef's run multiple wok's and a mise en place that puts french chefs to shame.
When you think Chinese/Korean, it's quite a 50/50 split with not one more prevelant than the other. When you think Korean you think banchan and kim chi's and pickled daikons, so in that regard it's more Chinese.
Apparently they have gotten some fame from social media, but I've been coming here long before that. Most of the patrons are Asian and all staff are, so your service is gonna be matter of fact. It's not so authentic that there are social mores to the tea pouring. They take your order quick and the food comes out quick, usually everything at once which is great for family sized meals/orders/parties versus date nights where there is conversation in between.
I feel like onions, green onions, carrots and peppers are in everything. I wish they had more xo sauce items becuase you can tell all their sauces are slurry enhanced. Still delicious, bold, thick, great. Prices are very affordable and the portions are plentiful. Fried rice is heavy on the msg and light on the soy sauce. They velvet all their beef, but the beef don't be beefing heavy, but their pork and shrimp are all succulent, soft, juicy without all that bi carb. Their szchewan sauce is something I dip their chicken lolipops in on top of their already sticky glaze. I tend to cut and add vinegar to a few of their dishes which is great.
It's M&P, down home, local. It's a place to bring your family, it's a place to stock your fridge with leftovers. It's the places metro cities are built on, despite it not being in Chinatown.“

“Everything about this place has been great from start to finish. Ordering is easy, delivery is always on time, and the drivers are friendly and professional. The food consistently shows up hot, fresh, and clearly made with care.
We ordered the Kung Pao chicken (which is actually spicy), the Mongolian beef — which is phenomenal — and the egg rolls and fried rice, both of which are beyond fabulous. The flavors are spot-on, portions are generous, and the quality is way better than you’d expect from a place that somehow still flies under the radar.
It’s rare to find a restaurant where the entire experience is this solid. Highly recommend giving them a try.“

“This place is the bomb! My favorites are the duck fried rice, salt and pepper fish, and spicy cumin lamb though we always order something new to try and have never been let down. This place is truly a south loop gem like every restaurant in this complex actually. Try it you won't be disappointed.“

“This was some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in a while!!! I ordered the crab rangoon, shrimp fried rice, and general tso’s chicken. Everything was fresh! The shrimp were big and clean, and the rice was nice and dark! IYKYK 😂. The crab rangoon were nice sizes. They give a great amount of everything— takeout boxes were overflowing in a good way. Everything was packaged nicely to prevent spills. The service was also great. The cashier was extremely kind and welcoming when I went to pick up my order. I will definitely be back! 🤎“

“The guy that answered the phone and took my order could have sounded like he was interested or at least a little bit friendly. Other than that I do have to say they're sweet and sour chicken is probably the best around. They're fried rice is also delicious. It's been a while since I was there so when I go back I'll update on the next dish that I get. All in all it's definitely good food.“

“We ordered the shrimp fried rice, orange chicken, and honey shrimp. The fried rice was really good — flavorful with a generous amount of shrimp. The orange chicken was excellent, almost perfect — crispy, saucy, and packed with flavor. The honey shrimp had good flavor too, but the texture was way too hard, likely from being over-battered or double-fried.
Overall, it’s a solid spot for Chinese takeout — good portions, tasty food, and friendly service. Definitely a place I’ll keep in my back pocket for when we’re craving takeout again!“

“This place is awesome! We went for a girls night and enjoyed the whole hotpot experience! The lamb is halal here, so we were happy to have a meat option. However, the veggie broth itself is so flavorful—having just veggies would have been just fine! By the end of the night we were drinking cups of the broth, because of how flavorful it was!! If you like spicy, definitely get the spicy broth! You won’t regret it. Appreciated how clean the place was—the staff were great about checking in and refilling the broth regularly! Will definitely be going back for more!!“

“Order the Thai Red Curry off the takeout menu... it is our favorite dish. In fact, the staff at Jin Asian knows our order when we walk in the door. I get the chicken, my fiance gets the beef, and we have them add mushrooms to both. That, plus the Crab Rangoon with apricot-based sauce, makes one of my favorite meals in the city. The restaurant is never crowded, and the service is very friendly.“

“I really like their sesame chicken! They use dark meat, which I prefer over white meat, and the flavor is just chef’s kiss. It’s very subjective, but their chicken is one of the tops for me! Oh, and they give you a lot! Also more affordable than others.“

“I was on my way to Panda when I saw this place and thought I’d try it instead - what a great idea! The place is cozy and clean inside, and smells amazing. The manager immediately seated me and offered me some water and hot tea, which was delicious. 5/5 on service and atmosphere
I was 30 minutes late for the lunch special, but he still let me order two (Mongolian beef for me and orange chicken my wife) - both of which he cooked fresh for us. 5/5 on food taste
It took a few minutes longer than fast food and cost me a few extra dollars, but this place is 100% worth it. I don’t think I’ll go to Panda again while I live here! Thank you Hong Huah“

“We were in our way to the airport and decided to get dinner. The service was fast, the person in the front (owner?) was so friendly and personable. The restaurant is really spacious and lovely. The biggest treat was finally eating our meal and it was the best Chinese food I’ve had. So delicious! The portions are very generous and they did not skimp on the shrimp. I highly recommend this place.“
