“As a busy working, traveling mom, I was trying to plan my precious daughter’s sixth birthday party when I was out of town and was in a bind because I didn’t order a cake I envisioned in advance. The bakery called me back promptly as I was sitting at the airport in Boston, I sent over a picture of the unicorn cake I envisioned, and they had it ready along with 2 dozen cupcakes that day! Also ordered their butter cookies and the broffee and it was all a huge hit with our guests. Thanks again for coming to the rescue. My daughter and her friends absolutely fell in love with the magical unicorn cake.“

“I have been enjoying breads and pastries from New Dokil my whole life from various asian grocery stores (Joong Boo, Hmart, Tai Nam, Park to Shop) and always get something the moment I see it. My favorites have to be the white bean bread, every cream bread, and mocha castella. Always fresh, super soft, and not too sweet. I would like to visit the main location one day for a special occasion cake.“

“What a gem for the neighborhood! The service was so friendly and attentive! The basque cheesecake is the perfect balance of creamy and toasty on the edge. The panna cotta with raspberry was creamy and dreamy. The tiramisu was delicious, but I like mine more coffee and boozy. They are obviously using the freshest, highest quality ingredients. We bought macrons, but we’re saving those for tomorrow. If you’re looking for dreamy, all-natural, less sweet treats, run, don’t walk, to Amande. Yum!“

We had the ham Cachito, ham & cream cheese Cachito, and turkey & cream cheese Cachito - all of them delicious. The ham-only was for my baby son, and I asked them to cut the ham small/bite size so he could eat it and they delivered. Ordered a vanilla latte to go and it was great! Hope to be back someday soon. “We love Eli’s Cheesecake in Chicago and have been coming every year ( at least 10 years as of now) to pick up cheesecakes for the holidays. We usually buy 20+ cheesecakes for our friends and neighbors, and the service is always wonderful. Rosa, the store manager, was always especially kind and helpful during our visits. So and Bryan and the rest of the team this past holiday were friendly and helpful too.

“I went yesterday when visiting Chicago. I had never had it before but I went by the recommendations of Skokie residents and I was very impressed. I took 6 desserts home to Kentucky and my only regret is I didn’t take more oatmeal raisin cookies. Those were absolutely phenomenal.“

I have ordered many cakes from them. All have been great.
Even if you order them ahead of time. They seem to make your orders, so they finish them at the agreed order date. Always very fresh.

Their chocolate Ganache cake is a fan favorite whenever I order that. I personally like their strawberry vanilla cream cake. T

heir donuts are also good if your looking for a morning or weekend treat.
Same with their huge variety of cookies.

“Super friendly guys there. This was my 2nd Crumbl stop tonight as the 1st one off Golf (across from golf mill mall) did not honor my free bulls mini cookie. They said they didn’t have any chocolate chip cookies. So I called the one off Touhy Ave in Niles and the fellow named Cesar was super friendly and helpful and said they’d honor it. So I drove there and they did! At the store, Cesar was super friendly and the other fellow working there too. So nice compared to the employees at the Crumbl near me in Skokie. I avoid that location at all costs! They (Skokie location) have no customer service skills and would benefit from some training in customer service. Could learn a thing or two from Cesar and his coworker.“

“What can I say: the bakery, food, and drink offerings here are outstanding and the owner is incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about what she's doing.

You really can't go wrong with any of the grab and go cake, cupcake, or pastry items. We've gotten many of them, and we've also gotten special order cakes from here that have been wonderful. Their breakfast burritos (vegetarian or not) are a great quick breakfast option. The quiches (which are relatively new) are exceptional. The hibiscus agua fresca is a lovely refreshing drink for a hot day.

I hope this place stays here for a long time because its popularity has added liveliness to the Roger Williams area.“

“Mom and Pop style bakery with a variety of sweet and savory goodies. We tried their cookie assortment, some cheese bagels as well as a Neopolitan and Bee Sting. All were delicious and ver more-ish.

What i also enjoyed was both the service - super efficient and friendly as well as the chatter in the queue between people waiting. It made the time pass faster.

“I recently visited this spot and tried the Nova Lox Bagel. While the bagel itself was fresh and well-toasted, the salmon was a letdown. Nova lox is typically known for being less salty than regular smoked salmon, but in this case, it was overly salty and overwhelmed the other flavors. The toppings, like cream cheese, capers, and onions, were well-balanced, but the saltiness of the salmon really detracted from the overall experience.

I also decided to try the apricot cookie, but that turned out to be a mistake. I was surprised to learn it cost nearly $5—far more than I expected for a single cookie. Unfortunately, the taste was disappointing; it was so unpalatable that I couldn’t even finish it. The texture was dense and off-putting, and the apricot flavor was barely there. It felt like a waste of money, and I left feeling dissatisfied.

The prices were reasonable for the bagel, but the quality didn’t fully match my expectations. As for the cookie, it was overpriced and not worth trying again. Overall, a mixed experience—there’s potential, but the execution fell short.“
