Thus, I had to walk over and see what all the fuss was about. Tons of people were waiting outside in the cold for pastries. There were so many vegan options that I bared the cold trying to make a decision. I settled on the vegan brownie. The staff were all friendly and processed orders quickly. “Unreal! We accidentally fell upon this place this morning and upon entering my jaw dropped and mouth started watering instantly. We ordered a big bag full of both savory and sweet pastries and we ate everything while making lots of mmmmmm sounds throughout. The coffee is great too. We are just visiting Chicago and leave tomorrow but are planning on dropping by again for one more visit before taking off back to Kentucky. “The plating at Sweet Moon is so exquisite that I imagine a chef using a pair of tweezers to meticulously place each item to be displayed on the dish. My mother and I talk for at least two minutes about the layout and design of the plated food before diving in and being even more amazed by the flavor combinations. My favorite menu item is the Merengue Roulette, a gluten-free merengue with mascarpone pistachio cream, raspberry jam, baked almond, and whole pistachios.For such well-crafted and well-balanced dishes, the wait time is not long, usually not exceeding 10 minutes. Although the place is typically always filled with people all customers are respectful of the noise level and it is quiet and serene. Great place to work or catch up with a friend!“

Dokil 독일 means German/Germany in Korean, and the sign reminded me of one of my favorite Kdramas Reply 1988.This store is a cute neighborhood bakery that sells delicious Korean breads, some with cream fillings. The bread tastes fresh and homemade, and it's priced reasonably. My father even said that the baklava of Nazareth Sweets are the best baklava that he’s ever tried. He also said that it would be good to give as a gift or bring to a party. This bakery specializes in Pakistani baked goods as well as south Asian treats. The goods are baked daily and fresh. The bakers are available to provide their suggestions. The pastries were fresh warm and layered with butter. They were bursting in flavor and a wonderful experience to top off our Sunday. “This is such a cute spot! We came early on a Sunday morning and only had to wait about five minutes for a table. Our server was kind and friendly. The coffee was delicious and served in varying styles of mugs which added to the homeyness and intimacy of the restaurant. I ordered the smoked salmon scramble which I ended up being a little disappointed by but I think that was just due to personal preference. I did really like the biscuit though! I think if I were to go again I'd get a sweet breakfast. My friend ordered some pancakes that looked super duper extra tasty. They make their whipped cream in-house and it was awesome. “Not gonna lie, I ended up here because my husband and I needed a quick snack, and I tried to go to Choo Choo down the street, but they were packed. When I walked in, there was a long line, and that seemed promising, plus it was moving quickly. We wanted something savory, so we ordered a ham and cheese croissant, a goat cheese and pesto croissant, and a spinach quiche. They warmed up the pastries and brought them out to our table pretty quickly. I was surprised the pastries were so good. The croissants were so flakey and delightful. The spinach quiche had a lovely crust. I completely forgot to take pictures because I was in a rush and starving, but I also saw a security sign that said no camera allowed. I wish they had more savory pastry options with meat, but the ham and cheese croissant was all they had when I visited. I did see that they had sandwiches that could be ordered, so I might try that if I am ever in the area again.“
