The pretzel hot bogs weren't available yet because of how early it was (they are my FAVORITE) so I was kinda bummed out but they were able to move efficiently and get them out to me in 10 minutes! It's nice to see that in a world where good customer service is declining, that Auntie Anne's maintains it's outstanding customer experience, along with great food! Thank you guys again!“

The owner and employees are all very sweet and the space is vibrant—in the summer the full windows open and it's just a really pleasant spot to grab breakfast or lunch. Would love to see more authentic, small places like this open up and thrive in the North Shore.“

“I love this bakery! I first came on the Flavors of Albany Park tour and have returned since for wonderful baked goods. The owners are so friendly and generous. I got the peanut cream pastry, red bean cream bun, and a green tea cake. They gave me a corn cake to try as well which was so kind! Everything they make is light, perfectly sweet, and so good.

“A marvelous small pastry and coffee shop with a great variety of organic sweet treats! Love it! 😍. Nuns speak french and a little bit of English. All cakes look amazing and those I tried are to die for. Amazing fresh baked French bread and specialty crafted wine selection (buy for home only). Calm classical music adds the final touch to make your morning or afternoon coffee a remembering experience. I only would like to see some loose leaf tees on the menu. I strongly recommend visiting this place.“

“I went yesterday when visiting Chicago. I had never had it before but I went by the recommendations of Skokie residents and I was very impressed. I took 6 desserts home to Kentucky and my only regret is I didn’t take more oatmeal raisin cookies. Those were absolutely phenomenal.“

“I recently visited this spot and tried the Nova Lox Bagel. While the bagel itself was fresh and well-toasted, the salmon was a letdown. Nova lox is typically known for being less salty than regular smoked salmon, but in this case, it was overly salty and overwhelmed the other flavors. The toppings, like cream cheese, capers, and onions, were well-balanced, but the saltiness of the salmon really detracted from the overall experience.

I also decided to try the apricot cookie, but that turned out to be a mistake. I was surprised to learn it cost nearly $5—far more than I expected for a single cookie. Unfortunately, the taste was disappointing; it was so unpalatable that I couldn’t even finish it. The texture was dense and off-putting, and the apricot flavor was barely there. It felt like a waste of money, and I left feeling dissatisfied.

The prices were reasonable for the bagel, but the quality didn’t fully match my expectations. As for the cookie, it was overpriced and not worth trying again. Overall, a mixed experience—there’s potential, but the execution fell short.“

“I had an absolutely lovely experience here! This is a great bakery just off of Devon st. I would've normally walked past it but today the smell of fresh baked cookies welcomed me in. I was greeted by a friendly face and respite from the crisp cold air of Chicago winter. While browsing their products, the owner came out with warm freshly baked almond cookies for me to try. Normally I like my cookies with tea, but these were just perfect on their own: moist, warm, sweet, and crunchy! Before I even had the chance to finish mine, he came out with more cookies for me to try. I left with 3 boxes of cookies, one of them he packed for me from the fresh batched just pulled out of the oven.

I highly recommend this bakery to anyone nearby! It's been here for 30 years for a reason, and hopefully it will be here for 30 more!“

“I have had cupcakes and other treats before, but this was my first time ordering some - a custom-made pumpkin pie without clove. My mom always made it without and I never could bring myself to like it with. Well, I took one bite and it tasted so much like my mom's pumpkin pie that I almost cried. She passed away last year and had actually not cooked for a couple years beforehand. This really hit me very unexpectedly! Thank you so much to Ashley and her wonderful team at Punky Cakes.“

“This is kind of a cabby joint. The food is good, slightly cheaper than other places, but they've been slowly raising their prices. It's getting close to only coming here once in a while because prices getting too high. I like the food and as of this review, the portion of meat to rice is good. I plan to come back for now.

“Irene is AMAZING. We went to her after she baked a delicious Tres leches for my birthday, and wanted to see if she could do a cake for our wedding. Irene made this process so much fun!! She brainstormed with us, shared a few ideas, and in the end, made a cake EXACTLY how we wanted. The cake was beautiful, and the most delicious wedding cake I ever tried. More important than her unquestionable abilities, it is how much she cares about her clients, community, and people. Irene became our friend, and we will never buy cake from anyone else!“
