50 Best Fast Food Restaurants in Evansville

“We both woke up late wanting tacos, but our favorite taco place was closed. We went down Franklin St., looking for a place to dine in w our toddler nephew, but they are only bars at that hour (no judgement, please- it was a last minute kid hand-off, and he was hungry too). We stopped at one place and the guy told us their kitchen was closed. Luckily, the other bartender told us to try Shah's. So, off we went. She was an angel! The food was sooo good! I'm from a major city, so I love me a good halal Mediterranean spot. Honestly, I didn't even know this place existed in Evansville, so I was excited! My better half has lived most of his life in S. America, but he is always game to try stuff. Our nephew eats home cooked food, so we didnt want to feed him fast food stuff and warrant the poopies stowed upon us for feeding him garbage. All 3 of us ate and it was so delicious! The pickled cabbage is a must have, and we all love any type of bean. So we loved the black beans and chickpeas and hummus (mashed chickpeas). I gave my nephew a small bowl of ours and he sat and ate till he was full. I ordered him chicken nuggets. Just in case he didnt like the lamb or kofta- my little dude only played w the chicken nuggets after he was full from eating. We loved it so much, we ordered 2 platters to go, for my BIL and SIL! We already talked about going back next week as our new late night grub stop. Please- If you want to try something new, but fear unknown food, give this spot a try. The pickled cabbage mixed w the cucumbers and chickpeas is such a good combo of flavors, you'll thank me later for it. I tried the philly cheesesteak too. It was good, but the Mediterranean options were waaay better.

As for staff- the front preparer/cashier was so patient. He let me translate to my other half and translate his order back to him- thank you, young man.

“Fazoli's has upped it's game since the last time I was here, which was many years ago. Back then it was black Styrofoam plates and plastic ware. Today it's real plates and real silverware, although you have to get your forks and such at the drink station. I'm not a fan of the self order kiosks either, but you don't have to clear your own table which is a bonus.
If you're feeling hungry for good Italian food but quicker and at a better price than a full-on sit down restaurant Fazoli's is the place to go.“

“We live in Columbus Indiana and go to the local Culvers a few times a month but we were in Evansville Saturday night and as we were heading back to Columbus we hadn't eaten so we drove through this Culvers. Everything was pretty decent except there was an abundance of salt on my onion rings. Who puts salt on onion rings??? I had to scrape it off just to eat them. Is it just me or has fast food service gone in the toilet the last few years?“

“We ordered 10 regulars, 2 fries, and 2 teas. Food was hot and fresh. The wait was minimal. I hadn't had White Castle in years. Reminded me of my childhood trips to Louisville to visit my grandparents. We would always stop on our way home. 🥰“

“Hardees on Boeke is my favorite place to go eat. Whether it is breakfast or lunch, the food is always fresh and correct. The manager there is super friendly and I have always seen nice to her staff. Even when they are short handed you would never know. She zips around and gives great service .“

“The employees working today deserve a raise. They gave us excellent service. When I asked for a side of pickles with my chicken, they asked how much. Of course, I said “a whole lot!” They gave me a surplus of pickles with a smile. This was my first time at Freddys and there is no doubt I will be back“

“This may be one of the most convenient Chick- Fil-A restaurants anywhere. It is in Cafe Court of Eastland Mall. There are so many different ways to get into and out of this mall with tons of free parking. The service here was great even though they were quite busy. The food was delicious as you would expect. It was no problem to come in eat and return to work in 30 minutes. It is easy to find using Google Maps.“

“Stopped by Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers and saw that Brittany was a litter bug in the parking lot.

I ordered the steak-burger with fries and a chocolate dish which were delicious.

What stood out to me most though was the kindness shown simply by asking the restaurant.
You never know if you don’t ask!
There was a man standing outside asking for $2 and I told him I didn’t have cash so in my mind the next step I could take would to kindly ask Freddy’s to do what they do best, provide a meal.

I was able to get Eric, the homeless man some food. We talked about God, faith, and I had the opportunity to pray over him. Grateful for good food and even more grateful for moments that remind us to care for one another.“

“I went yesterday with my mother she ordered jalapenos poppers with funnel cake sticks, I ordered mozzarella cheese sticks with a cheesecake, service was good food was very hot, only just a little thing they didn't have ranch for my moms jalapeno poppers but it's okay that wasn't nothing to get mad about Atleast the food was hot and we pulled off with a big smile. “The service here is always stellar! We usually pop by for breakfast between 7 and 8 in the morning. Order on the app and we only wait a few minutes for fresh food/drinks right to our window!
I recommend the ultimate breakfast burrito. Very flavorful. Really anything with their bacon in it is wonderful. Their brioche is very good, as well.“

“Having grown up in the 60's and 70's not far from the Dwarf House that became Chick fil A. My dad worked at the Atlanta airport and actually knew owner Mr. Truette Cathy. When I married I moved to a rural town in Kentucky that did not have a Chik fil A until years later. So every time I would travel home I'd stop on the way there and an the way back. Still my fav today. I actually worked in the Greenbrier Mall where the 1st chick fil a was put over 50 years ago. We finally got a store in my town in Kentucky in the mid 80's.“

“This subway was where I had my first official date with my ex (when we were together), and it was ok back then, but not 5 star worthy. I come back 4 years later after highschool finals, and it's completely flipped! The service was amazing, they were respectful and generous with the vision for my sandwich. They didn't rush me and had a smile every step of the way. Best Subway experience so far :)“
