“Went to the nearby beach and walked over to eat. I got an ice cream and chicken sandwich. My ice cream was wonderful, tall, and cold. My sandwich was really good. I still think about that ice cream. I put some in my root beer, took turns licking it between me and a friend, and even stood outside for a bit. It didnt melt too much and the people on shift were super nice and great. 10/10 will be coming again for the ice cream and root beer!“

“We had Cafe 53 cater our entire wedding and the food was phenomenal! Our guests can’t stop talking about the smoked brisket to this day. Jess and her team are amazing to work with and their communication through out the entire process was great. While they have a standard catering menu, they are willing to make whatever you want and cater to your dietary needs. We had a bbq/comfort food style menu and it was a hit. The staff was on time with their services and were on top of it the entire time. The cost was a great price as well which is always a bonus. So thankful that we went with Jess and Cafe 53 for our big day!“

This year, my sister—who lives out of state—sent our father a Starbucks e-gift card for Father’s Day. Since he’s currently homebound and unable to get out, she sent it to me to pick something up on her behalf. I stopped by the Starbucks in Crete, IL, and let me tell you… they did not disappoint.

From the moment I drove up, I was met with genuine kindness and outstanding customer service. I explained the situation to the barista (I wish I had gotten his name!), and he went above and beyond to help me create a thoughtful surprise for our dad.

He carefully packaged the order, added extra touches to make it feel gift-worthy, and even used regular tissue paper in the most creative way—transforming it into something that looked just like gift bag filler. ✨That level of care, thoughtfulness, and creativity didn’t go unnoticed. 🥰My sister was blown away by the presentation when I sent her photos.

Thank you to the Crete Starbucks team for your compassion, professionalism, and for making a long-distance gift feel so personal and special. It meant the world to our family.

“I love this place so much!! I drive 15 min. from my office just to eat lunch here. The Lavazza crepe is so so so good. Really nice chewy texture.

The avocado crepe with turkey is supreme!

Their goulash is also good.

I order here regularly at least a few times a month.

“Great place for boba, dessert, and a drink. They had lots of choices and cakes, and got the mango drink which was a summer deal for $11-$12 including a donut. The mango was very good and had some jelly at the bottom, but way too much ice, so the drink lasted only a little bit. This is a super expensive boba shop in my opinion, which small crepe slices over $10 each. They asked for a tip like most places do but the person working there didnt call my name, which was annoying. But a worthwhile stop after a fancy meal and great atmosphere“

I also tried their hibiscus tea, which was so refreshing and full of natural flavor.

The staff is friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they put care into everything they serve. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, settling in with a coffee, or just enjoying the cozy vibe, this spot is a perfect neighborhood go-to. I’ll definitely be back—highly recommend!“

“I don’t drink coffee much so wasn’t really sure what to order. I seen on Facebook a Horchata Frappuccino so that’s what I ordered. It didn’t come out looking the way I expected. I thought there would be more coffee to it. Didn’t get the girls name that happily explained the drink and remade it for me. And I got to keep the Horchata obviously so I’ll give that to my daughter.
