“Decided to walk through Allston on a grody, misty afternoon and look for some food. Walked in by chance and at my SO’s insistence that we give it a look. I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. Don’t hesitate to ask a question, you will definitely get an answer. :)“

“One of the freshest, crispiest, and tastiest dumpling place in Boston. Their soup dumpling is fresh and packed with umami soup. The Shanghai pork buns all have a crispy bottom with soft dough and flavorful pork stuffing. Their hand pulled noodles are also fresh with lots of veggies and the portion size is very generous! Lit will come back!“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“It’s an Internet celebrity restaurant, but it’s still worth trying. ?Environment, food, and service are both average. ?Spicy chicken, crispy tofu, and boiled beef are all fresh and well cooked, especially the chicken, which is spicy and fragrant. ??The price is OK? , in short, very good in the United States ?“

“Found this place on Google & Pinterest. So glad we gave it a try. The chicken corn soup was sweet and delicious, we had pork and cabbage dumplings, spring rolls, hot tea, fried rice and kimchi. It was all delicious. I don’t use chop sticks so they brought me a fork. Would highly recommend this place it was busy but we don’t have to wait long for a table and they had a steady line of to go orders going out as well.“

“If you’re in search of an exceptional vegetarian hotpot experience, look no further than DLY!
The star of the show is undoubtedly the fresh and delicious base sauce. It’s rich in flavor and truly elevates every ingredient you choose. DLY offers both buffet options and individual orders, which is perfect for any dining preference. We opted for the buffet, and I must say, it was incredibly filling! You get to explore a wide variety of vegetables, noodles, and proteins to create your ideal hotpot.
One of the highlights is the fresh topping station. Here, you can pick up a selection of sides that add extra bursts of flavor to your hotpot. Whether you prefer a spicy kick or something more savory, the options are plentiful and allow for customization that makes the meal even more enjoyable.
Overall, DLY is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in a fantastic vegetarian hotpot experience. Fresh ingredients, delicious sauces, and a fun buffet format make it a perfect place for both casual dining and special occasions. You won’t leave hungry, that’s for sure!“

“Very small and tucked away; but an absolute gem!! I ate here for the second time today with my mother (a pescatarian) and there were plenty of options for both of us. We personally recommend the fried rice options, but anything is good! Staff were very welcoming and friendly, service was pretty quick. Got a milk tea to go afterwards and it’s a 10/10 as well. Pricing is very fair and portions are large; If ordering a main dish, expect to either share or bring home more than enough for leftovers!!
Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and pescatarian options present on all sections of the menu.“

“The food is delicious, the service is very good, and half-price dishes are available from Monday to Thursday, and the environment is clean. There are separate toilets for men and women, with disposable toilet paper and a nice smell. It is a clean and tidy Northeastern restaurant with homely taste.“

“The food is always good. This time service was lacking. Our food was delivered with no plates- asked three times and finally got up and got them ourselves Drinks took time- it was not busy when we arrived at 5:15 on a Saturday- so not sure why there was such a delay. Luckily our show was at 7:30- so we had time!“

“Very very delicious and comforting. Real deal. Considered dropping a star for slow service but in retrospect I think Head of the Charles this weekend just made everything a little more slow.
Lanzhou beef noodle soup was SO yummy words can’t even describe how the broth made me feel tbh. Lamb skewers were fatty and juicy and bursting with flavor. Mala tofu with preserved egg and rice was a great contrast to the other dishes — light and refreshing (also I love preserved egg with my whole heart). And the osmanthus flavor iced jelly? Slurp.
Picture included of plates made CLEAN.“

“Highly recommend for hand pulled noodles(the name is a pretty hard giveaway). The bouncy texture and flavorful soup options are what you’ll want on a cold rain day or after a good workout. I would order the vegetable dumplings and vegetable mala pot or just pot, if spicy food is not for you (for any vegetarians and everyone) to try.“

“Delicious food. Quick and friendly service. Sautéed clam with black bean sauce is a must to order- always perfectly sautéed. Best salted fish fried rice. I personally just do not prefer the smell of the restaurants when they happen to locate at basement. But happy with food and service!“

“It's a very simple fly restaurant, but it's not easy to eat authentic Chinese food here. This kind of product is worth recommending. The dishes are very generous. Two people, one meat dish and one vegetarian dish, a bowl of rice, three cans of drinks + tip $50 Yuan, very satisfied with the meal. The price/performance ratio is very high and the service from the boss is also very good. The dining environment is average and there are few seats. If you miss the peak period, you don’t have to wait for a table. Free parking is available in front of the restaurant.“

“I think their chicken wings really taste like McDonald’s spicy chicken wings in China! ! ! ! There is nothing like Korean fried chicken in Boston, but every time you want to eat domestic taste, this is the fried chicken! And that chicken fillet roll really tastes like the old Beijing chicken roll “

“Food is good, but it is often too salty for my tastes. We enjoy the dim sum dishes, but it can be hit or miss as far as liking something enough to order it again. I guess, like any Chinese restaurant that I have been to in the area, there are some dishes they do well and appeal to my taste and other dishes that do not.“

“The feeling that filled my heart in this moment was one finding a long lost love. One that you had once, one that eventually drifted apart due to whatever circumstances, and then finding each other again in the most unexpected moment and regaining that wonderful traction of a friendship all over again. Yes, I’m talking about food.
It was once a tale of two spots. One in Watertown and one right here. As I resided in closer to the Watertown location since the move here, I frequented it and found solace in their dishes - absolute comfort food that was done very well. However, like all businesses, things change and eventually the business was sold. I knew there was a transition period and the owner and chefs stuck around to “train” the new owners. I hoped that the “good” would remain and that the new owners would continue the tradition of wonderfully curated dishes and keep the regulars coming back. Did it happen? No. I gave them about a month of repeated visits to gauge their level of culinary competence but it never came through.
Long story short. I stopped going and that feeling of lost love began to fester.
I didn’t think much of it. I thought he had sold this place too since I’ve often overheard him saying how hard it was to run this business to his associates as he tried to satisfy every customer walking in the door or ringing the phone off the hook. So when I finally found a chance to be on this side of town, I decided to stop by and give it a shot. Maybe, maybe I thought, the new owners here would do a much better take on what they had taken over.
What I didn’t expect after placing an order was to see the owner walking out from the kitchen with dishes in hand to serve another table. Eyes wide open, I couldn’t help but say, “HEY! Good to see you again.” He in return showed the same look and smiled greeting me back with fondness and delight.
That’s when I spoke to the lady and asked more about the whole situation, wherein she explained how they sold the other place but kept this one. Regulars of the other spot now take the 15-20 minute drive just to come up here instead for a meal. I smiled. It made sense. They must have felt robbed when they went back after the place was sold. Food wasn’t even remotely the same. Don’t even talk about service either.
Anyways, long story short, when the food came out. I felt this completeness return back to my soul. Here, once again, I felt home away from home. The food did me justice. The flavors impeccable. The culinary finesse was displayed thoroughly with each bite. So it is, once again, I found my long lost love again in Boston and can’t wait to be here every single Sunday for a wonderful special meal that teleports me back to what “Home Tastes” like.“

“Found this place by chance while searching for a place for quick dinner in the area. Food was surprisingly authentic sichuan and thoroughly enjoyed all dishes we tried.
-Chengdu dry chicken with red chilies $21.95 delicious flavor with mild mala numbing spices, but breaded chicken pieces seem overly deep fried.
-Stir fried chicken with black bean sauce, green bell pepper and onion $18.95 even onions had full flavor and tasty. Chicken was little salty though.
-Beef Chow Fan $18.95 best smokey flavor I've tasted in years
-hot and sour soup $4.95 with all the right ingredients it was still flavorless but salty.
Place was clean with decent table settings, fast service. Decent size parking available.“

“I recently dined at this restaurant and found the portion sizes to be more than generous, easily enough to satisfy a hungry appetite. I particularly enjoyed the chicken lo mein. The general gau chicken, however, was a bit too oily for my liking, and the egg rolls were rather bland in taste. I'm not entirely familiar with Chinese cuisine, so I'm unsure if that's how they are typically prepared, but it didn't quite suit my palate. On the positive side, the price point is quite affordable, and the restaurant offers decent seating for those looking to dine in. Overall, it's a good option if you're looking for a hearty meal at a reasonable price.
Vegetarian options: Few vegetarian options“

“This restaurant is a no frills, fast food, take out restaurant. The neighborhood is Very Sketchy. If you know Dudley Station you will understand.
The benefits of this place is that for $10.50 a plate, you get 4 ( or 5?) selections. And they are generous with their portions.
Parking: The area is very busy with foot traffic. Finding parking is difficult. Try parking your car somewhere safe and walk over to the restaurant.“
