“We had a great experience at Pickle Vegetable Fish. The signature pickled vegetable fish was excellent. The broth had a rich, tangy flavor with just the right amount of spice, and the fish was fresh, tender, and cooked perfectly. We also tried the peppercorn beef, which was equally flavorful and comforting.“

“We got lucky and had lunch here during a day of tourism. Inexpensive and great food and boba. The cook (who was the only one working there as you can order with the ipad) was nice and the place was clean and cozy. We went at an off-peak time so we were able to sit at the counter but I imagine that during lunch rush it must mostly be for takeout as there are few seats. Also I don't think they had a bathroom as I looked around for one and didn't see it. It wasn't an emergency situation though so did not ask to use one.“

“I recently visited Nanxiang Soup Dumpling and had a wonderful experience. The soup dumplings were delicious and full of flavor. I also want to give a special mention to, Zhi, who provided excellent service and gave me good suggestions when I order the food. He was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great dumplings!“

“Been scouting this place for about 3 weeks for a birthday dinner. I called over a week in advance for a party of 7 - 13 people. They were able too accommodate and the food was GOOOOOD! That hotpot was smokin and I thought I choose a milder one but it was excellent in taste for me. Now this was the first time I have had it so don't come at me if it doesn't hit you taste buds the same.“

Had Starla as a waitress and she was simply such a gem, was very timely with everything. Sweetly explained the menu and gave incredible recommendations!
Because of her attentiveness I would 10/10 visit again.
The food was delicious, bubble tea flavors and pearls were fresh and simple. I would say it leans more toward an America flavor pallet depending on your selection but Im sure there are some sophisticated options if that's where your pallet tends to lean.
I got the chai latte light sugar&ice and my hubby greatly enjoyed Starla's PineappleMango suggestion. So yummy, so fun.
I love the bright decor and semi-exclusive dining options; certainly would love to meet the family here during an outing.
The bathroom was super clean and had a large mirror great for freshening up.
Certainly would recommend for DC visitors.
I got the Lucky dumpling back. Personal favorite of the bunch was the black Truffle so I know next visit which basket I'll lean more toward.
✨️BONUS: Their bowl, cups and utensil charger had a very elegant weight to them which was incredibly comforting and added a coziness to the experience.

“A hole in the wall Chinese place, which is delicious! I ordered the veggie lo mein (lunch) I didn’t expect it to be so small and shrimp and broccoli with garlic sauce with would the normal lunch size. The flavors were there, but could be spicer. It was piping hot when I got it! And I got 2 veggie eggrolls with were great!! Great customer service! And they speak English!“

“Randomly stumbled upon this place after looking for a spot to eat in Georgetown and it was delicious! We came from out of town and have to say this is one of the best meals we had on the trip. Sushi was fresh, service was excellent, definitely your “hole in the wall” type of place. Our server Darya was extremely kind and accommodating! I highly recommend stopping in here.“

“Excellent, efficient and clean establishment. Food was ready when I walked in to pick it up at 10-15 min after I placed the order. The Tejas BBQ brisket taste was fantastic. The SriPraPhai drunken noodles with tofu was so-so. Its taste profile was more like Pad Thai than drunken noodles I have had from prior restaurants, so would not get this again. The taste wasn't bad, but not what I expected. Overall, I would still return and try this food concept chain again (similar to a food court in a mall with many restaurant options but with a small pick up window and assembly room in the back).“

“Tonight we ate as a family here at this very very Chinese family atyle Restaurant. All of the food is made to order it is fresh and it is delicious. They are known for their Szechuan style cooking so spicy is their specialty! Tonight we had the frog, The salt and pepper shrimp, the ribs and The sweet-and-sour shrimp. “My husband and I have been dining in or placing a take out at least once a month at Peter Chang McLean for the past year and a half! We were so excited to finally find a chinese restaurant that is somewhat formal and provide good quality ingredients! I'm super picky with my meat (the , but the fresh meat, vegetables, and other ingredients truly satisfy my particular self. They never disappoint with the quality of the food and the temperature! We have tried at least 80% of their menu items, including the AYCE lunch menus, and our go-to items are: pan seared shrimp dumplings, dragon garlic spicy eggplants, singapore curry noodles, shrimp lo mein, spicy dry fried bamboo fish, numbing green peppercorn flounder, sesame chicken (it's online, not in the menu), and spicy kong pao chicken. The waitstaff and manager are all so nice in addition to the great food! We will continue to go back and we're so happy people are finding a good quality chinese food!“

Food is super unique and delicious, highly recommend as I've never seen another place that offers this cuisine. Intriguing flavor combinations. “Absolutely delicious food! I first came here six years ago for my husband’s birthday after hearing about the restaurant from a foodie. It’s an unpretentious spot with incredibly good food. We ordered 10+ different dishes that first time and loved everything, especially the dan dan noodles and the pork bun. Nothing can ever compare to their Dan Dan noodles no matter how many times we order them from different restaurants!
We moved far away after a few years, but when we came back to visit friends this month, this was the first restaurant we wanted to return to. The food was just as delicious as it was six years ago. Highly recommend!“

“Lived in Bethesda for 50 years, now in Bend, OR--where good Chinese food is non-existent. On numerous visits back home, I've patronized Foong Lin with high school buddies--and it always delivers the goods. My husband and I have keep it in regular rotation alongside China Bistro (Mama's Dumplings), and Sichuan Jin River. Becky and Wendy are incredibly hospitable, and the food is consistently spot-on. We especially come for their authentic Szechuan and Cantonese dishes — always flavorful, always satisfying. A must-try! Generous portions deliver excellent value at a fair price.“

“We've been eating here for over 20 years and it has always been good. It is recently under new management and the way some items are prepared has changed, but still very tasty -- just a new twist on an old favorite. The one thing the new management needs is someone who knows their way around a bar. The people there this week had a very limited range of knowledge about drinks (gin on the rocks got a blank look), but once you explained they happily made a very acceptable drink.“

“I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and authenticity of some of the classic dimsum dishes such as the shrimp dumpling and charngfun. We ordered about 25 small plates between 3 people (including desert) and we were stuffed! Some items tasted a bit too experimental and did not satisfy the classic Cantonese flavor profile that I’m used to. Some were really good! I grew up eating authentic Cantonese dim sum in Los Angeles and have tried amazing eating dim sum in Hong Kong and Guangzhou. In the DMV area, we have limited dim sum options - so this place will do when I crave dim sum! The service and atmosphere were really nice. Total rating is 4.5 stars.“

If you're brave enough to try bitter melon, they've got that here, but otherwise, would recommend their twice-cooked pork and their Zhong dumplings!

“I had an incredible experience dining at Gong Fu 12 yesterday, and I have to say it has quickly become my favorite restaurant in the DMV area. They create a wonderful blend of flavors from both Northern and Southern Chinese cuisines, resulting in a diverse menu full of exciting dishes. “This is a nice reminder of what authentic Chinese food taste like. We tried slices beef with peppers, spring rolls, egg drop soup, and chicken fried rice. Everything was piping hot and well flavored.
The only thing to be modified is the time it took to take drink orders and the order of food delivery (the preference is for appetizers to come out before the meal but asking the customer if all is desired together is good).
The venue is spacious, the light is well balanced and it has nice music playing juat enough to set the scene for authentic cuisine. We will definitely be back when we return to DC.“

“Stopped in for a late lunch, it's nondescript from the outside, but inside it's clean, tidy, and comfortable. We had noodle soups and scallion pancakes. Both soups had really nice broth, lots of sides to add, and a couple of sauces as well. They were busy even in the middle of the afternoon. We'll go back.“

“First time visiting Wonder Cleveland Park as a tourist, and I wasn’t sure what to expect or how to order. John was really helpful and walked us through the different menus and the self-ordering setup. I liked that you can order from multiple restaurants all in one place, which makes it perfect for indecisive groups or people who all want different things. One person can get a salad, another can get a burger, and someone else can grab pizza, all in the same order. We tried the lime salt and Royal Greens, and it was a great experience overall.“

“The place is calm and the service is good they are very politely people but the only complain is that the food was better before I dont know if they had change the cookers or the recipes but lately I bought a wings with French fries and beef broccoli and shrimp lo mein so the rice of the beef broccoli which was for my wife was very dry hope the manager watch this message and solve this problem.“

“Authentic, no-frills, all-flavor DC carry-out food, with fried chicken wings, original-style DC mambo sauce, fried rice with plenty of onions and bean sprouts, french fries made as you ask with salt, pepper, ketchup, a steak and cheese with seasoned meat and plenty of fillings, I prefer getting it with everything and hot peppers, and it was the nostalgic, savory taste I'd been looking for since loving in DC and moving to VA 10 years ago. This spot has great food. Make sure you have Zelle or cash, they don't take credit cards and there's an ATM inside.
I got a half steak and cheese woth everything on it plus hot peppers, an order of French fries with salt, pepper, ketchup, and 3 wings with fried rice with mambo sauce on everything. Plus I got an extra container of mambo sauce for dipping. It was less than $20. Wait time was maybe 10 minutes.“

“Though this place has a couple tables, it spends its budget on the food versus space and decor. It keeps costs low by having a very small place down a side road. Parking is free and most times you can park right outside of it. They offer delivery but is popular for take out. The people at the counter are very nice. I recommend their Kung Pao chicken. It is the best.“

“I hadn’t been here in forever and ended up meeting a friend for a quick lunch. The Singapore Noodles HIT and to get a nice cup of wonton soup for a $1 more? No brainer. Can’t beautiful the price for the quality and the lunch portion was perfect. Certainly adding it into the office lunch rotation!“
