My friend and I decided to try Pho House because of its very central location, and also because of its great reviews.

Overall, the food was delicious and the we were able to add extra meats and make substitutions to our orders which was great.

“We were in DC over the weekend visiting family and had an incredible experience at PhoNatics Noodle Bar! We ate inside the restaurant (although there TONS of to-go orders picked up while we were there. The service was outstanding, and the food was even better. Our group couldn’t stop raving about the Banh Mi Beef and Banh Mi Grilled Pork sandwiches. The caramelized meat paired perfectly with the fresh veggies and sauce— absolute perfection!

For appetizers, we went with the Beef Summer Rolls after seeing them recommended in so many reviews, and they did not disappoint. Fresh, light, and packed with flavor!

Another standout was the Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli. It was like a noodle salad packed with fresh veggies and savory, perfectly grilled chicken. The Pho was also solid, but the the items above were the real stars of the show.

Everyone in our group gave this place a 10/10! Highly recommend if you're craving Vietnamese cuisine. Can't wait to come back!“

“I had a full meal at this Vietnamese restaurant. The spring rolls were about the same as any other pho restaurant but the broth for the wonton noodle soup did not disappoint. I got it with pho tuoi since i like the fatter rice noodles. I finished my entire bowl!“

Several to go orders though so this place must be popular! I got the Pork Vermicelli, which was very tasty, and the pork was SO good. The sauce that came with it was just beautiful and paired well with the dish. My wife had the Shrimp Phơ which she enjoyed and I thought it tasted great. We also shared a Shrimp and Pork summer roll for appetizer, which was delicious. Don't skip over this restaurant, or you'll regret it later. It's on my list next time I visit DC.

They were open about being out of certain menu items, and were very accommodating and gracious with suggestions for alternate options. They ended up going out of their way to prepare a dish. “This is the best venue in town for organizing a reception or a small party. We were a group of old friends, about 40-50 of us, coming from all over the states. For $50/person, we partied from 5:30PM to midnight. Food, drinks, music ... you named it, all are excellent. The owner even came out and did some shot with us. Some of us have not seen each other for 30-40 years so you can imaging how "loud" we can be :-) ... All in all we had a good time. Next time, you need to have a private party, just ask for the bar area ... it can hold 50 to 60 very loud and obnoxious adults - with an outside area for smokers (cigars and all ...) Service can be slow if your crowd is all over places but we can grab water bottles from the bar and even serving our whiskey shots our own styles ... so who is complaining? :-) we had so much fun that they even forgot the charge the corkage fee for a whole case of wine we brought in. If you expect a full-service style like a wedding reception, I guess you have to work with the boss a little earlier ...“

“Came in on a quiet Friday evening and was greeted by the gentleman behind the counter, promptly seated and given a menu. I asked him about the salted lemonade, and he told me they pickle the entire lemon so it's very salty. Boy he wasn't kidding - it was like a sports drink; just what I was looking for!

I ordered lemongrass pork and rice and the food came out shortly after my drink. Pork was crispy and well seasoned, a big pile of shredded carrot and a healthy portion of rice rounded put the dish. Everything was hot, tasty, and brought out quickly.

“I always go here for Pho. I like their spring roll, very tasty. The staff is friendly. Their lunch special comes with a drink and spring roll and it is pretty cheap.“

“I have yet to find a vegan cheesesteak that matches up to the ones in Philadelphia (Basic 4 why did you have to leave!), but this was pretty tasty. I wasn't a huge fan of the roll, but the cheesesteak itself was good, and with precisely the right amount of onions and peppers. The vegan potato salad was great too. It's actually a ghost kitchen though - there are three other vegan restaurants from this window (Yang's Chinese, Pizza Loko, and Kimchi's Pho/Bibimbap) and you're probably best off getting delivery. There are other restaurants in the building as well ("food incubator") but those are the vegan ones run by the same owner.“

“This is not an dine-in restaurant currently, but I was looking for takeout anyway. The pho is excellent; large portions of chicken and beef in the respective soups, plenty of bean sprouts, jalapenos, and other additives, and decent amount of noodles. I also ordered a combination rice dish that came with small shrimp and I think chicken (dark meat so hard to tell), and it was very good, especially after I covered it with the sauce they gave me and then shook it to mix everything together. Total for 3 bowls of pho and the rice dish was somewhere around $50 and well worth the price.“
