“Best food I ate in Portland all week (including upscale places) was the lobster bisque from Chef Ryan. Oysters were GREAT as well. Family friendly. Chef Ryan’s whole menu was top notch and the kitchen staff was so nice. Ty came up and offered to give my young kids a lobster lesson over FaceTime (was here for work). Lizzy was excellent at the bar for our group. Ashley was amazing and welcoming to our group. Couldn’t recommend more. But def order the menu items and not just the lobster!“

“This meal was a 10/10 early on just from the bread (from Standard Baking Co.) and Wood oven roasted mussels alone. The way we’d bottle the sauce they were cooked in if we could. Both the hangar steak and pork chop were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes are the best we ever had. Rhubarb creme brûlée was perfect and light. Ambiance is lovely. Service was amazing. Left so happy and satisfied. Would come back over and over.“

We got hands on experience checking lobster traps, baiting them, and learning all about lobsters and the local lobster industry. The boat itself was comfortable and offered great views of the harbor, and the crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and full of interesting stories. Likely the best wings I've ever had. They were huge and the sauce was phenomenal.
I'm also not a cake person but the carrot cake is absolutely worth getting. Hands down best cake I've ever had in my life.

“My Experience with the Porthole The Service was great and quick, but I had taken a picture of the haddock sandwich before I started eating and you can visibly see a hair coming out of the sandwich, and I know it wasn't mine because it was in between the fish and the roll.“

“Walked into the Portland location at 7:57 on a Saturday when they close at 8:00 and they graciously served me, even though it was clear they had finished cleaning up for the night. I am a regular at the Scarborough commissary throughout the summer and this was my first time visiting the Portland location. The staff all said hello to me with a smile and conversation and had no problem packing a few rolls for me to go! Great staff and always consistent food!“

When I asked if the chef could add a garnish of pine nuts to the Fettuccine Alfredo and spinach, he obliged me and toasted them perfectly.
