“I came here with my mother who is newly celiac. She’s older so it’s hard for her to find foods she likes that are gluten free as she can’t cook for herself. Thankfully we had Archer to help us! They took time to explain all the gluten free/ sensitive options and it really helped her out a lot! Thank you Archer! It’s good to see such kind and knowledgeable people :)Dietary restrictions: Good gluten friendly options!“
“The man closing the register tonight (11/10) went above and beyond in terms of customer service. I ordered online and went to the wrong location. Before I could even ask, he offered to call the other store to cancel the order and make it *here* instead! It was such a small gesture, but I thought it was very kind. He could have blown me off to do closing duties, but instead offered to help. Keep him around!!!!“
“A really great experience. For us, different new cuisine, made in an accessible and delicious way. The plating was appetizing. The bison, soups and yes....the snack like popcorn crickets were our favorites. A very helpful server and all the staff was friendly and nice. Very glad we went on a visit from New York. Location was pretty too.“
“Had a wonderful dinner date here on a Wednesday night. It was still a very busy night for the resturant, meaning there were some tables that were spaced inches apart in the main area and making it loud enough that conversation was occasionally difficult to hear. The food though, was wonderful. We started with a couple of cocktails, the Mamakuna and La Clandestina, both of them were tasty, being fruity and light, in their respective ways. The first food we got was the masa & guacamole along with the corn elote, which go together in a fun mix-n-match way. For mains, we got chicken tinga tostadas and the seared scallops. The chicken tinga was a lot of savory deliciousness without being to heavy and the seared scallops were full of vibrant flavors, and surprisingly spicy with the salsa macha. And of course, we got the churros for dessert. They were fun and tasty, with the dulce de leche and sweetend cream, I definetly favored the cream, but I'm less of a sugar person.I would love to go again, but I think I will wait until the patio is open to get some more elbow room and bring down the noise level.Parking: The parking lot is very small, fewer than a dozen spots. There is plenty of street parking, but it's a busy area.Wheelchair accessibility: There is no curb on entry. The entranceway is pretty tight, it's got a straight hall to the left inside the front door, straight to the front desk. To get into the seating area is a right turn from facing the desk.In the seating area, there is very little room between tables, to the point where some of the tables are literally inches apart. There is a wide through path to the back of the building, where kitchen and restrooms are located. The restrooms are roomy but have low toilets.“
“I ordered a king cake to take in to work- without a doubt the best one I’ve had, it melts in your mouth! The staff was exceptionally friendly and offered an extra cup of frosting. Great environment if you’re just looking for a place in Minneapolis to sit down with a cup of coffee and a treat too!“
“Profoundly beautiful GF bread, the heritage loaf is perfect for sandwiches, the rye lacks for nothing, and the baguettes taste *exactly* like the (glutinous!!) French bread my grandmother used to bake. The employees are upbeat and friendly. Literally can’t believe this exists in Minneapolis, the texture is better than gf breads I’ve had in major cities at twice the price. They are often sold out by end of day, so go early! Also extremely cute that they’re named after a word their toddler used when she wanted to share food with people. Highly recommend to anyone looking for excellent bread, regardless of whether they eat gluten or not.“
“Amazing cheesecake! I was never the biggest fan of cheesecake but this place made me a fan. I just shared some of my key lime with family at Easter and they all loved it. I shared some minis with coworkers and they all said how much they loved it as well. The cheesecake is so light and creamy. And the crust is a very important part as well that is done perfectly. I spoke with the owner when is stopped in and she was so enjoyable to chat with. The staff was so friendly as well, even holding the door when I left as they thanked me. I will definitely go back.“
“We relished the tropical Southeast Asian-themed decor ambiance, sipping fruity and refreshing cocktails while indulging in creatively flavorful dishes bursting with a multitude of ingredients in every bite—a true flavor explosion. We only wished we had the opportunity to sample more items from the menu. The service was excellent.“
“Found this little gem this morning with a friend and I think it’s my new go-to coffee shop with other moms when we have to bring our kiddos! As a mom of a toddler, it can be really hard to expect my son to stay sitting while I try to enjoy a coffee with a friend but this place has incredible coffee and food, incredible customer service, and an amazing play area to let the kiddos roam while you enjoy time with a friend!! Absolutely will be returning!“
“Great pastries…. My wife is gluten free and was excited to try the pastries and they did not disappoint. I am not gluten free but they were very delicious and truthfully you wouldn’t know they were gluten free unless you were told. We will be back“
“Kicking myself for not stopping here earlier! We came for a sweet treat after a birthday dinner, and we both agreed it's some of the best ice cream we've had in the Twin Cities. Things to know: - Almost ALL of their flavors are gluten-free! - A variety of signature staples, revolving flavors, and seasonal flavors - The shop is small, with a few benches and one table for seating - plan to take it out and walk - It's tucked away in a walking-only area of 50th and France - park in the parking ramp and enter near Mr. Paul's We had such a hard time choosing flavors - they were all so creative and sounded delicious! As a gluten-free girly, I was shocked and impressed to see flavors like cookies & cream and brownie offered GF. Prices are pretty typical - and honestly for the quality and flavor, it's worth it. The staff member onsite when we visited was so kind and helpful - she was clearly enthusiastic about the flavors and had tried them so she could give accurate recommendations. We opted for: cayenne caramel brownie almond toffee ganache peanut butter chocolate cookie milk and cookies and loved each one! Can't recommend this spot enough.“
“Even with a completely full parking lot they were able to seat us in 10 mins.I got the strawberry banana Dutch baby and it was absolutely for the wait 20 minute wait for it to cook. It had what looked like a full banana and 2 cups of fresh strawberries on top along with whip cream and a strawberry syrup. Also had a coffee and that was pretty standard, no complaints. My wife got a Northwoods hashbrown and she said it was also very delicious and filling. She also got an OJ that was very fresh, I think they squeezed it today. A little too pulpy in our opinion but still very good.Definitely beats going to the big franchises if you are willing to wait a little longer for food to come and pay a little more.Overall the bill came to just shy of $50 for the 2 of us.“
“Stopped in for lunch & tried the turkey pastrami sandwich. It was SO GOOD. Way better than a sandwich has any business being. I'd say it was the special dipping sauce (it kinda was), but also everything was super fresh. I'll be back to try some treats.“
“I'm a shy country boy who doesnt love crowds, but I've been visiting MoA regularly for about fifteen years. As a 20-something, I'd show up at 9am, get a coffee from the Barnes & Noble cafe by the rotunda on the East side first floor, then walk around the building - back when Camp Snoopy (now nickelodeon Universe) was in the middle. More on that later.Starting clockwise on level 1, passing Starbucks and the Minnesota store, around the LEGO Store with all its massive LEGO creations, on to troll the Apple gurus in the Mac store with stupid questions about laptops I'd never buy ... on around the south side with the beautiful hanging lights, and so on. Somewhere along the way I got a shirt from Old Navy and some nice dress shoes from Clarks.Having come full circle back to the rotunda, you'll understand why the mall is much busier sometimes than others. There may be someone performing there - possibly even a household name, possibly local talent - in pretty much any genre, throughout the year, or it may be quiet. Around the holidays, expect wonderful chaos. For me, a Mall of America visit is as essential around Christmas as Bing Crosby and a blizzard. But back to Barnes & Noble for another venti Caramel Macchiatto. Dawn might challenge you to double up on the espresso, and I have no regrets about accepting her challenge, many times. I thought I'd write a novel, so I sat there entire days (between laps around the mall) reading and typing. There, and anywhere else as you walk around MoA, you'll hear many voices, accents, and languages. There's absolutely no better place to people watch. From elderly folks doing their daily laps to kids and their crazy antics to guys standing awkwardly outside Victoria's Secret as their wives (maybe) shop ... you needn't spend a dollar to have an experience.MoA is a bit different for me now that I'm a dad. When my twin girls were born in 2018, the one with a heart condition spent some time at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. The day she was released, our first stop on the way home (2hrs away in rural SW MN) as a new family of four was Mall of America. There are plenty of accommodations that ensured we could care as needed for our infants, who mostly slept in their stroller.Recently we've spent some time at MoA with our now-five-year-old girls. They go on Paw Patrol rides etc. with Mommy, and have a lovely time. Meanwhile, I get my Caramel Macchiatto from Dawn in the B&N cafe, make my rounds, and enjoy my people watching. Then we regroup and do Sea Life, which is expensive but a mesmerizing and memorable experience for the family.Somewhere in there, food. There are lots of places to get candy and snacks, and plenty of fast food options. We've had a few meals at the Rainforest Cafe, but typically just grab a pizza or burgers, which is my general recommendation, especially if you don't want a long wait. I can't deny that it's an experience, but for my money the better experience is fast food on the north side second floor while you chow down with a view through big windows of people coming and going.I love MoA. Do yourself a favor and get a coffee from Dawn in the B&N cafe -- whatever she recommends -- and give her a tip for her hard work and everything she puts up with in that crazy, wonderful place.“
“Amazing carrot cake cupcakes! No nuts or raisins (this place is fantastic for folks with a nut allergy!) I love that the cupcakes are the traditional size and not those super-sized ones. Snoopy bars are soooo good! So many wonderful things to try--I'll be back!“
“Such good ice cream. It made my mouth orgasm. It was awkward because everyone around me was wondering why I was moaning so much while eating my ice dream. Then I sneezed and shot ice cream out my nose. That is how you orgasm out of your face.“
“As the name suggests, this place is all about being social. You definitely want to come with a group. My party of two stopped by on a trivia night and, even with the host on the loud speakers, I'd say the sound split was 55/45 in favor of guest chatter. Nicely varied selection of drinks, and the food truck has a solid burger. Tots were a bit over seasoned for my taste.“
“It was so cozy and i loved my food. It was finger licking. Aaaaaaaaaaaaah! It is so refreshing having to eat omelette or a mixture bowl of veggies with eggs without having to feel like u drank a gallon of oil right after. 10/10. Literally ATE THAT!!!!!“
“It has been many years since a restaurant has provided excellent service, flavorful food and reasonable prices. I drive from South Minneapolis to Woodbury for Family Dinners and to-go orders, it is more than worth the trip. Andiamo is my new favorite.“
“Just ate here on a whim. Wife picked it from a huge list on google. They did not disappoint. Order the fried chicken. You won’t be sorry. I also had burnt ends. Prolly the best I’ve ever had. Sticky toffee pudding and banana Creme pie for dessert. This place was off the chain. Great food great atmosphere great service. Will be back soon. I’m kinda of mad at myself for not ordering another sticky toffee pudding to take with me. 200 stars. Thanks for a great meal“
“They have the best ingredients you can choose from to create what you love. The portions are large so plan on being super hungry or share with another! Online ordering, you must pick out 3 proteins which is awesome. We spent about $30 for 2 bowls. Can't wait to try something else there....I'll be back!!“
“Excellent food, excellent service, excellent staff! I highly recommend trying every single dish they offer, there’s something for everyone and the taste is guaranteed. Their portions are SO generous I almost always have to take something back home with me. :) My favorite items include: dry cappuccino - grilled chicken - chicken salad - falafel platter.“
“OMG, everything about this place speaks quality. This place is clean, and has a great atmosphere. When our food came, all that was heard from my wife & I was compliments & noises of satisfaction. It was one of the tastiest meals we have had in a long time. They really know how to season their food, it was AMAZING!!!It was so good, we ordered a duplicate order to take home, so our family could try it. We had the chicken soup & chicken cranberry wraps.Dietary restrictions: They use grass fed beef, organic chicken, dairy free, gluten free. Exceptional place & they will work with you to find food to fit your restrictions.“
“Nautical Bowls are by far the best Acai bowls that you can get... I have tried many from other companies and they just don't have the variety and rang e of ingredients and toppings that nautical bowls has. A bit, expensive, sure. But worth it every time.“
“Not many people, pretty calm. Had the fish tacos, which were not very flavorful, but I ordered a lot of stuff off of it. Fried pickles were good. Pop was not very carbonated, but obviously it didn't take away from the experience. Probably wouldn't go again, but that's just me.“
“Nestled in the heart of Midway, Workhorse Coffee Bar proved to be a hidden gem awaiting discovery. My daughter and I stumbled upon this quaint establishment on a crisp morning, seeking respite from the bustling streets outside. What we found exceeded our expectations and left us longing for more.Upon entering, we were greeted by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the inviting warmth of the cozy interior. The ambiance was a harmonious blend of modern chic and rustic charm, with exposed brick walls adorned with local artwork, complemented by the soft glow of pendant lights hanging from the ceiling. As we approached the counter, we were met with friendly smiles from the baristas, whose passion for their craft was evident in every cup they served. After perusing the menu, we decided to indulge in some breakfast bites to accompany our coffee. The selection was diverse, featuring both sweet and savory options crafted with care using locally sourced ingredients.I opted for the chocolate cookie, a masterpiece of simplicity and flavor. My daughter grabbed a gluten free cookie that made her smile light up the room.Workhorse Coffee Bar is more than just a place to grab a cup of coffee; it's a haven of warmth, community, and culinary delight. Whether you're seeking a quick caffeine fix or a leisurely breakfast bite with loved ones, I wholeheartedly recommend paying a visit to Workhorse Coffee Bar. You won't be disappointed.“
“ABSOLUTE FAVORITE place for great "pals getting together" atmosphere with excellent service and satisfying options for everyone. I love the big variety of ciders too! I previously thought I didn't like cider and now I love it!“
“Went there for an anniversary, service was fantastic. We had the Alsatian dumplings, duck and lamb meatballs. Closed it out with coffee and dessert. Everything was fantastic. Please remember it’s an occasion meal don’t go here and complain that it’s not cheap like Applebees. The food is great and the staff is professional. We had a great time, I hope to go back.“
“The blues music dive bar of Minneapolis! Good bar food, great service, friendly patrons. Have had some pretty grumpy bartenders in the past (YEARS ago) but no bad experience now. The renovations are great - feels more open and brighter inside.I'm a huge fan of bar "pork tenderloin" sandwiches and couldn't resist ordering one during my last visit. It was really just a deep fried pork chop on a bun. Very delicious but not an actual pork tenderloin.Note: it is very loud when the band plays, do not go for a date night and expect to carry a conversation.NA option: Heineken 0.0“
“Our group of 11 went in for breakfast on our one sons bday. We aren't from the area. Everything was absolutely great. From our waiter (I didn't catch his name) being so kind and welcoming, to our food that simply amazed all of us, to the souvenir mug that I got for our other son. We can't wait to come back because this place is a must!“
“Modern Times has a cool, creative/artistic vibe to it. The cafe is bright and the staff are friendly. I love that they offer several GF options an entire vegan menu. The miel is delicious and their breakfast sandwiche on GF bread was amazing.“
“We order pickup from Pad Thai around 3 to 4 times per month and absolutely love this place. Excellent flavors, nice sized portions and overall very good value for money.Vegetarian options: Most dishes that we've tried work well with tofu.“
“Maya never disappoints. I can take anyone there for a meal and they always leave happy. My 5 year old daughter still remembered the buffet (from when she was 3!) and was elated to return this week. Thanks for being such a great neighborhood spot. We've been regular customers since the beginning and we're so glad you're here ☺️“
“Parking: plenty of street parking Service: delightful people who let you try all the flavors, seriously, don't be shy about it Food: flavors are so creative and cleverly named! My favorites were the Nicollet Pothole (chocolate and fudgey) and good old vanilla (rich flavor and perfect texture, with the occasional crunch of actual vanilla bean bursting in your mouth. Ambiance: call us crazy, but we sat outside in the patio in the snow, so seating was plentiful, haha!“
“4.9 tbh, lighting was strange and bathroom door is in the middle of the dining room but the food was absolutely delicious and the staff was super sweet and friendly we will definitely return. I can't wait to see what their famous patio is like in the summer“
“The lovely barista recommended I put some cardamon on my latte- it was incredible. Thanks so much- I really enjoyed it.The cafe is quaint, the service is kind and helpful. The food people had looked tasty. I only wish I could have stayed longer. Will be back!“
“Edina Creamery is a delightful family-run ice cream shop that truly stands out with its vast variety of homemade ice cream flavors. Every visit feels special thanks to the extremely friendly service, and the fact that they make their waffle cones fresh on the premises adds an irresistible charm. It's a gem of a spot where the warmth of family hospitality makes every scoop of their delicious ice cream taste even better.“
“I eat here a lot, and I love the food, prices, and service. I have an account, so I often get free food using the loyalty points. They have great vegan options as well.Vegetarian options: Falafel or quinoa can be substituted for any of the meals. They also have vegan options.“
“My new favorite restaurant. Everything we had was amazing! We had shareable plates, so we could try a bit of everything. We couldn't stop eating. Then, the leftover collard greens were great in an omelet the next morning lol. I'll definitely be back.“
“We recently tried Heather’s Pies for the first time and picked up the pies on our way home from the hospital after having a child. Heather’s pies were delicious and her customer service was exceptional! She even gave us one of the pies for free as a congratulations gift to our family! The overall experience was second to none and we highly recommend!“
“I am so fortunate to have stumbled upon this gem while in search of a French style patisserie. There are other businesses that claim to be patisseries, but this is the real deal. The location is easy to get to, even for someone who doesn't live in Minneapolis. The parking is easy, and the neighborhood feels safe. We loved the almost dark academia ambience that is inside - warm lighting, dark interior. It creates a cozy feel and makes you feel sophisticated, even if you're just trying to satisfy the Saturday morning sweet tooth like we were. Ordering was easy, and the lady gathering our items was very friendly and explained things well. We ordered a vanilla St. Honoré, pain au chocolat, croissants, and an Elise (yes, I'm saying it in a French accent to feel more fancy). The viennoiserie are baked Euro-style, meaning a bit darker than what you'd find in a regular American bakery. The many flaky layers could be seen, and there's a delightful crunch when you take a bite. The sweetness of the Elise was "just enough." We enjoyed everything except for the iced mochas. Those weren't quite as chocolatey or sweet as we're used to. If we could improve anything, it would be to give an option to have something warmed, like the pain au chocolat. It's a little spendy, but you're getting real croissants- not Costco croissants. Will definitely be coming back.“
“It's a bar with a restaurant. Kitchen seriously needed some ventilation. Very smoky in the restaurant, not burnt smoke, or cigarette smoke, but just good ole fashioned kitchen smoke. Be warned when they're serving their brunch menu in the morning they do not offer their a full menu.“
“I come to and enjoy Brasa consistently enough that I should finally write a review. The short: service is consistently friendly and helpful, food is consistently good, great gluten-free option with (thus far) no cross-contamination incidents, and a very casual atmosphere. All of my friend group have different favorites: the egg sandwich, the pork bowl, the chilaquiles (my personal favorite.) Every protein comes in different forms: a plate, a sandwich, or a bowl. Most options (except the sandwiches and a couple of sides) are gluten-free. Quick run down of what I've tried: * Chilaquiles with red sauce (the GOAT): the red sauce is such a great flavor and pairs well with the smothered chicken. Their pickled jalapenos and an egg on top makes it a perfect weekend lunch dish. * Egg sandwich: the red sauce reappears on this, to great effect once more. Otherwise it's a simple-but-great egg sandwich served with their tortilla chips. * Fish sandwich: not bad, not my favorite. Flavors are not as punchy as the other options I've had. * Mac and cheese: delightful and simple, thick cheese sauce, no complaints. Crispy yuca, fried plantains, sweet cornbread, also all good. Really, the menu is full of great options. Their beverages don't disappoint either, the coffee and tea are very nice quality -- tea always comes out with a great color and flavor (not bitter at all), coffee pleases even the pickiest coffee nerds in my friend group. Also: no tipping, service fees are built into the menu prices.“
“I ordered some buntinis and the flavors were the signature flavors for the season not my custom flavors. I called and Barb and her team went above and beyond in making sure we got what we needed to be able to bring these treats to a family event. This reminds me why I always get nothing Bundt cakes! My family and myself’s day definitely got sweeter!“
“Highly recommend Jensen’s Food & Cocktails. Excellent service, outstanding food (steaks, seafood, burgers, salads) all very good. Delicious after dinner drinks too. Have dined here many times with clients, family & friends. Was there last night and had excellent service from Matt at the bar. Very reasonably priced filet mignon, baked potato, house salad, and those delicious popovers! Thanks Jensen’s for always creating great memories!“
“Wok in the Park doesn’t need any more attention because it is busy!! But that’s because the food is so good. Everything tastes fresh and they have a good variety on the menu. The only thing I’ve gotten that I haven’t enjoyed is the egg rolls. They are huge and stuffed full which is just not my personal preference. If you go here, just plan ahead because people love Wok and you’ll need to wait!“
“Wow!!!! What a wonderful experience. Quaint restaurant with amazing food Must go. We had the shrimp tetrazzini and the chicken parmigiana. Both the Alfredo and Red sauces were amazing. House bread and seasoned oil are a wonderful treat. Wines were reasonably priced. Great value. Thanks for a wonderful evening. We will definitely be back“
“Such a cute spot! Small inside but there are plenty of seats outside. A nice variety of flavors. The after dinner rush was a little crazy but they got through the line efficiently. My husband got a shake that was a little on the runny side but good! My Oreo ice cream was rich and divine.“
“My daughter and I went out to a quick dinner on a Friday night. She got the nachos ( and fixings on the side) and I got the smash burger with the sweet potato tots. There was a generous amount of nachos in fact she took more than half of it home. They were super light and crispy which she has never had before. The smashburger that I had was phenomenal the sweet potato tots were on point. Since my daughter is by choice gluten free ( not celiacs) she ordered the chocolate cake as well..while it was good it did have a slightly unusual back end flavor which she didn't care for. The cake was still good in my option. Our service was great as well.im sure we will be back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free optionsParking: Plenty of spaceWheelchair accessibility: 1 level space available“
“I live in the outer suburbs which isn’t close to a Pizza Luce, so I’ve never ordered from here. My friends wanted pizza from here for a wedding shower. I called them to ask for prices, and the man who answered the phone was so friendly and patient. I appreciated it so much. I finally found the online order and ordered that way for curbside pickup the next day. The pizzas and salads were delicious. Worth every dollar!“
