“We were staying overnight at The Fairfield Inn, and The Summit Grill was recommended to us for a dinner location. We were pleasantly surprised at the deliciously amazing food, quick service, and also our attentive waiter, Travis. I highly recommend the Traditional Pot Roast, and my husband recommends the Chicken-Fried Chicken. If we are in Gladstone again, we will defintely return.“

“I cannot express enough how amazed I am with the customer service. Yesterday (Super Bowl Sunday—-GO CHIEFS!) I placed an online order. My pick up time was at 5 (earliest I could get because I waited too long to place the order) I arrive early hoping it would be done earlier because I had people arriving at my house and I didn’t want to miss the game. When I arrived it was packed on people waiting. I assumed I was going to be there for awhile so asked if I could order a beer. They got me a beer and a chair. As I sat there for over an hour (it went past my pick up time) I saw all of the employees working very hard trying their best to fill the orders quickly. Some of the customers were being quite rude to the girls up front as the customers were upset their food wasn’t ready. The girls did an amazing job keeping everyone calm they would simply just smile and tell them they are working on it. I was so impressed how these girls handled themselves not one time did I hear them get snippy with a customer even tho I’m sure they wanted to. It was always a smile with a polite response. I was there almost til the end and a guy started yelling at the girls and still it was a smile and polite response. I got my food and made it for the game and the food was delicious as always!“

“5 stars for the fact that we came in with a 2.5 star expectation. Nobody knew what they were doing at the front of house and couldn't seat 3 other people or ourselves with zero work load infront of them. We went to the bar for faster service. Laura was very pleasant. A nice gentleman named Dwight was telling his stories and really enticed us in his conversation. Our service was great. Food was subpar. But the experience.. 2 great people met. The bartender and Dwight (the customer). Thank you Applebee's. 2 diamonds in the rough. If Applebee's still exists in 20 years, we'll be back again!“

“Had a great time at Guy Fieri’s Dive & Taco Joint while enjoying the soccer atmosphere at Kansas City’s Power & Light District. We ordered the carne asada tacos and the carne asada fries, and both were delicious. The carne asada was flavorful, and the fries were loaded and perfect for sharing.

The service was friendly and the atmosphere was lively with lots of fans around. Great food, great energy, and a fun place to hang out while watching soccer. We would definitely come back next time we’re in Kansas City! ⚽🌮😊🔥“

“It had been a while since we ventured into downtown KCMO, and we genuinely enjoyed the atmosphere. Overall, the food was good, though not quite at the level we expected for the price. One clear takeaway: avoid the fried items. We wish we had read the negative reviews beforehand, because the wings were unfortunately the worst we’ve ever had overly oily and lacking flavor. As a big wings fan, the execution was especially frustrating: the batter wasn’t right, the texture was greasy, and the seasoning simply missed the mark. The shrimp toasts were also disappointing—very soggy bread to the point that I felt it wasn't cooked in the middle.

That said, the “Japanese‑style” dishes featuring raw fish were much better. The sushi taco was a standout, and my friends really enjoyed the bone marrow beef tartare. For the main course, the scallop pasta had great potential, but the salt was heavy—particularly on the scallops and toward the bottom of the bowl, even after mixing.

On a positive note, the drinks, desserts and service were excellent, easily deserving five stars.“

“We were passing thru and staying at Best Western Premier. The desk clerk recommended Conrad’s! We went there and so glad we did! Claire was our waitress and she was amazing! Hubby has allergies and she went back twice to make sure he was ok!! We shared the Blue Chips appetizer…with a couple cold ones. OMG….they were soooo good! We had regular BBQ sauce instead of Buffalo. Amazing! And you get so much!! Definitely enough to share! Then we both ordered the grilled chicken wrap with ranch dressing. That also was so very good! I brought 1/2 of mine back to motel for breakfast in the morning. For a side I had steamed broccoli which was excellent. Hubby had the mixed vegetables. It is a casual but nice place!! Claire was awesome and so was the food!“

“I wish I could say that I had been able to go here. I bought my tickets and then realized that we could not make it on that night. Yes...I get it. You don't generally get a refund or exchange for a show. But. I tried for an entire week just to get a reply to my emails and voicemails that I left. I even called the front desk of the hotel who said that they would pass along g my request to reschedule. Don't get me wrong...I get that they may not be able to do that.. but a simpme reply of maybe.. sorry. Or..thank you for your interest. But absolute silence. I hope the show was good. “Shout out to the Culver’s employee who made my beautiful strawberry fields salad this evening! It was PERFECTION!! Not only was the salad beautiful, but everything was Super Fresh! The lettuce was so very fresh & crisp; the strawberries were perfectly ripe, juicy, & freshly sliced; the grilled chicken was a generous portion & still warm, but not so hot as to wilt the lettuce. The pecans & blue cheese chunks weren’t soggy. Perfection! 😁Thanks so much!“

“Local Kansas Citian....stayed this weekend with my husband and had an AMAZING time! The room was spacious and clean! Bed was super comfy, and it was actually very quiet! We could see the city life below from our corner room, but most of the noise was completely blocked out! The hotel bar and the terrace bar were both amazing! And breakfast at the hotel was to die for! We will definitely be staying again!“

“Jim and the team there care, a rare commodity in this day and age. A friend of mine accidentally left behind his son’s teddy bear, 6 waitresses and Jim studied the picture and took down our numbers. Jim was in the back, one of the waitresses (wish I knew her name) said to hold on that Jim would want to be involved. “We were at the ferris wheel and needed to have dinner after we went miniature golfing and riding the wheel. So I typed in restaurants with good reviews and this one came up. Super cute vibe and I loved the atmosphere And decorations! Loved their drinks and enjoyed the food. Portions are a bit small but that's something I think is probably normal- we're just used a large portion sizes in America. Not that that's a good or a bad thing. The only negative thing I would say is that the tables were a bit small. And despite saying anything negative, I really did enjoy our experience. I'm also a big fan of old buildings and this one is pretty cool. I would go again and I would recommend!“

“Absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! Our group of 14 arrived here today at the Shawnee location for lunch. We were met by friendly staff and seated right away. Once we ordered our food, it arrived quickly! We were impressed! All 14 orders were correct, served hot and fresh, and so good!! Great size portions! The service was absolutely great! Refills were quick. The atmosphere is so fun! We all enjoyed our food arriving by train. The kids had a great time. and only 2 little ones had a nugget and few fries left. Everyone devoured their food. It's definitely a must experience! “My wife and I stopped in for the first time in a few years. We were seated after a bit of a wait. It is after all a Friday night in a shopping district. Our server was bright and cheery. She had a warming smile and happy persona. we placed our drink order. Shortly thereafter our food order was taken. I ordered a flat iron steak and a baker. My wife ordered soup and salad. Our dinner was served fairly quickly. Unfortunately my steak was quite a bit overcooked, so I requested one that wasn't over done. When the replacement steak was delivered, it was a bit overdone as well. I was hungry so I kept it. The manager came by to talk to us. I've spent time in a kitchen or two and I understand a dinner rush. The manager stopped at our table and wanted to assure us that this was not acceptable. She made things right, but wasn't needed or expected. I felt bad for our server because she probably feared she wasn't going to get tipped for a fairly big check. She was pretty wrong. I tipped correctly and arguably better than normal. Our return visit ended up being a great experience. We met a couple of wonderful human beings. Had some pretty good food. And, of course, my wife and I got to connect.“
