“We hadn't been to Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare in a while, and the staff remembered what we ordered last time. That tells you about the level of service and the management behind it, not just the food.

Marc and Max are cooking at a level that earns every star — fifteen courses and the execution never slipped once. The Hokkaido uni with king crab and geoduck was my favorite bite of the night. And the dessert was to die for — not one but two, the tropical refresher and then the Fujisan bread with soy caramel and Japanese whiskey. Leave some room. This is what a Michelin restaurant is supposed to feel like.“

Had a wonderful time tonight. Came in and got a myself a couple plates. Each meal was full of flavor and well done and well prepared. The waitress I had the pleasure of taking care of me was amazing.

I had the Quail and the Pig Out (for two). Except no way in hell am I sharing that with anyone lol. I ate that for myself!!!

I will say the pig out was such a cool and different kind of take on food. It’s one of those plates. You’ll probably always remember. I have dine at James beer award, winning new restaurants, and all sorts of Michelin rated and starred restaurants. The pig out is a meal I will always remember. And to me that says something.

And this is what the pig out is all about and worth the hype in my opinion …

The Pig Out. Chef Chen takes whole Berkshire pork bellies and cures them in thyme, ginger and salt for five hours before confiting them in duck fat for 15 hours. He then shreds the meat and lays it out on a sheet of pig skin, pressing it down and allowing it to cool. This create a terrine of sorts, with the gelatin in the meat binding everything. Once cooled, the pork is sliced into two inch diamonds and heated in a pan, rendering the skin shatteringly crisp. The pork is served with an arugula salad dotted with persimmons (the fruit changes seasonally) and candied walnuts, peanut noodles, a ginger scallion sauce, and a squeeze bottle of sambal. Chen recommends putting a little of the last two on each each piece of pork to achieve the “perfect bite.”

And there you go!!! if you’re in the area absolutely worth a trip. Go enjoy. It’s worth your time.“

We were celebrating Birthday. 5 starts to his efficient understanding our wishes. The receptionist and the floor manage all made us really comfortable and in a festive celebration day, classic, low profile and elegant.“

“This is absolutely our new sushi spot in NYC. Went for my boyfriend's birthday because my usual spot was closed on the day. Beginning to end this was a phenomenal experience worth SO much more than they charge. The spot is subtle and well decorated and feels like a secret no one else is in on. There's a lovely seating area when you arrive where you can order a drink before being seated for your dining at the sushi bar.

We had 4 people to one chef, and three wonderful women attending to absolutely every other thing. Received an excellent sake recommendation, and immediately started in on the 17 course omakase. Each piece was beautifully crafted right in front of us with delicacy and precision that felt like it was out of a film. Truly truly delicious, fresh pieces flown in from Japan and seasoned in unexpected but beautiful ways. We loved every second of it. The chef was even attentive enough to notice that my boyfriend was left-handed, so he angled the nigiri at the proper angle for him to pick up. The attention to detail of everything in this place was amazing.

Because it was my boyfriend's birthday, and the end of the omakase menu they made him a beautiful little sashimi don with a teddy bear candle in it. So cute and thoughtful!

For a long time I've been a Gari devotee, but I've been entirely converted. In addition to excellent quality sushi, this was a whole experience that felt intimate and authentically Japanese. To get that kind of experience for such an unbelievably reasonable price is not something I thought I'd ever experience in NY. So glad we found this place and we will definitely be back! “We had an excellent vegan tasting menu at HAGS. Our favorites were the beginning (the tomato water and bruschetta on rice bread) and ending dishes (the amazing vegan ice cream). I also loved the tempeh, and that says a lot, because I only like tempeh when I'm in Asia. The current location is a small intimate setting, but they mentioned they are closing temporarily in two weeks, as they are moving to a larger location. The staff are super friendly here as well. I'd dine here again.“

“Got to enjoy the exceptional tasting menu just two days after they opened. The inventiveness at work here is matched by the execution. While the cuisine is much different, the sheer delight of it reminded me of my first time years ago at Charlie Trotter's. We went back the next day just to sit at the bar after a show and enjoy the unusual, and unusually good, wine-based cocktails.

Location: It is located on second avenue, the interior is nice with a nice bar in the side. The outdoor seating is better, cause it is spacious and more safer and comfortable. Service: The servers are nice, they gave you good recommendations. A little bit busy as usual, but they try their best to accommodate! Also, they gave us free shots because we get along with the servers. Food: All that we ordered was delicious, small servings tho but the taste of the food was good! FALAFEL PLATTER: omg the hummus that comes with it are so good! Silky and perfect with the falafel and pita that comes with it. It is good for sharing or even by yourself! BURATTA: the cheese is soft and delicious. It comes with bacon or ham? I'm not sure but it tastes good with the burrata. The sofia salad was superb and the Lobster Vodka Rigatoni, was the best meal I’ve had this year.

The octopus unfortunately was severely overcooked, it was truly inedible, but the rest of the food more than made up for it.

“Our first trip to this particular Il Mulino. The food was excellent as has always been our experiance at other Il Mulino restaurants. We arrived for our lunch reservation and there were only one or two other tables occupied, but it took a full 40 minutes before we were asked if we would like a drink (we did get water and menus in a reasonable amount of time). Actually, when the server finally did come to our table, he asked if we were ready to order, not even if we would like a drink. After straightening that out, it seemed like another eternity before our starters arrived. Our server was apologetic, but we did watch at least two other tables come, eat and go before we finally got lunch. Which was spectacular.“
