“I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at this restaurant. The ambiance was nice and comfortable and the food was very delicious. I had the fried dumpling, calamari, salmon salad and a pina colada which were all very delicious. I also had the chocolate fried ice cream because they were out of the vanilla flavor and that was tasty. I felt that the portion size of the salad and fried ice cream was a bit small but they were both delicious. The service/hospitality was great as well. Our waitress kept checking in with our table and answered all of our questions regarding the menu.“

“I heard that Tonchin is difficult to get walk-ins for, so I was really excited to get a reservation here. There was a long line of walk-ins when we arrived for our 12pm reservation. The restaurant has a cool modern vibe and good service. Overall there were some things I liked, but nothing was particularly memorable. The kimchi mushroom ($8) was meh and not worth the cost. It was very small, cold, and sour -- just hard strips of oyster mushroom in a chili oil/vinegar flavor. I didn't taste the kimchi flavor. The original maguro ($27) was very good. Lots of great flavors and textures, and everything was cut to the same size. I enjoyed the crunchy bits. The tebasaki ($18 for 6 pieces) had quite big and tender wings. The drumettes had more flavor and sauciness. This wasn't a must-get, but it was decent. The smoked dashi ramen ($22) definitely lived up to its name. It was a rich but not overly heavy pork broth with smoked dashi liquid on top. It was good but not amazing. I didn't love that the bamboo was in a big chunk, which made it hard to eat. The noodles are nothing special. I felt similarly about the tonkotsu ramen.I got the aka drink ($18) which was pretty good -- very floral and good sweetness. It wasn't that big, though -- it had a giant ice block in it.Overall the restaurant has a nice vibe and the food is quick to come out, but nothing would make me come back. The maguro was definitely the highlight.“

“Delicious ramen, one of the best in town. It was especially perfect for me as I don’t eat pork and it’s always hard to get a non-pork ramen. Here they have chicken, beef, veggies broths! Amazing! Japanese curry was also delicious. I’ll be coming back “

“The Smoked Pork Ramen was one of the best ramen I have ever had. The soup was strong in umami and smokiness and that alone made it a stand out dish. The spicy ramen was a manageable level of spicy but covered the taste of everything else. It’s so good I forgive David Chang for sending lawyer letters to the AAIP chilli crisp makers.“

“3.8/5 stars My first time visited Kame on Saturday it was a bit busy so we had to wait in the line but only for 10-15 mins. I had Spicy Tonkotsu ramen(19$) the braised pork belly was super soft but the broth is just ok in my opinion the black garlic oil is too strong that I couldn't even drink the soup but I did like the noodles tho. I added onsen egg for (2$) and it was just ok to me because I think marinated boiled eggs would be better with the ramen. Noodles 3.7/5 Pork belly 4.5/5 Creamy broth 2.8/5 Onsen egg 3/5 Drink Plum lemonade 4.5/5 The food was good but this is just my personal taste buds. If I'm in the area I might come back but I wouldn't go out just to go there. P.S The ramen came with 2pcs of chashu but I ordered extra that's why it looks like it's a lot in my bowl“

“Ottimo ristorante di Ramen (giapponese e non quello "tarocco" o fatto con quello istantaneo del supermercato) che offre anche una fantastica selezione di ravioli. Prezzi tutto sommato accettabili per la media della città e acqua gratuita. Posto piccolo, accogliente, staff cordiale e velocissimo. Porzioni corpose quindi ordinate con cautela o non riuscirete a finire tutto.“

“Nice calm place in West Village without all the pretentiousness. Although located sub level the place is spacious and well aired, in fact much better than many joints in Manhattan. The ramen was excellent, real tokyo style. Price was fair considering the big portions.Wheelchair accessibility: Not possible. Only stairs.“

“Mmm, so good. We were staying at the nearby Park Central Hotel and looking for a decent restaurant within a quick walk. This one cropped up with good reviews, so we figured we'd try it. Best meal of our week-long NYC trip! I got the Curry Ramen, which was fantastic, with perfectly crispy pork katsu and nicely springy ramen noodles. My wife and daughter also enjoyed their selections. I think one was the Kin Ramen (which I also got to finish, since it was too big for my daughter -- the chashu pork was excellent! The place has a hip and cozy atmosphere. Service is friendly and quick. An excellent place to satisfy your ramen craving!“

“The staff was friendly and it was nice to be able to taste the same Ichiran ramen I had in Osaka. If you set the spiciness level to level 8, it's about as spicy as Shin Ramyun, but eating bone broth with spicy seasoning and rice felt like eating sundae soup haha. It's expensive, but it's worth a visit at least once during your trip.“

“My favorite ramen joint in New York! Go here on a jazz night if you can, because the ambience with the artists is even more incredible. This is my 3rd time here, and while everything is great, I’d specifically recommend: spicy ramen, spicy tsukemen, oysters mp, and mango kakigori. Between the freshly made noodles and flavorful broths, all of the noodle dishes are the perfect cozy meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the oysters, which came with a yuzu mint vinaigrette that added a bright vibrancy to each oyster. Don’t shy away from getting dessert the end! The shaved ice is a great way to end on a refreshing note without feeling bogged down by sugar. Note that this place fills up quick, so reserve in advance or come early to beat the wait. “Our experience at NR, was mostly positive. The Japanese fried chicken appetizer left us underwhelmed, lacking that special touch. However, the chicken soup curry stole the show with its amazing taste and generous portion size, making it a preferable choice over the ramen.Speaking of ramen, while it wasn't bad, it didn't quite justify making a special trip here for it. There are other spots in the city that excel in ramen. On the bright side, the service was excellent, and the ambiance had a charming speakeasy vibe, evoking the essence of old NYC.Overall, NR is a great spot to visit with a date or friends, offering a delightful experience with standout dishes like the chicken soup curry. However, if you're solely craving ramen, you might find better options elsewhere in the city.“

“Wow! The Tsukemen here is amazing! Definitely a Star ⭐️. If you like a fish based broth then this place is for you. You must order using phone to scan the QR code. And you must pay the bill that way. Slightly complicated if you’re a party of 2 or more. Bar/Counter seating only. Very tight and narrow space, which makes getting to the restroom difficult. Food is worth all the hassle. Reasonably priced. Electronic payment is mandatory. “Giving it a 4 stars because the effort and intent was there, but the Miso ramen was unfortunately too rich for my tastes and I couldn't finish the broth, although the wavy noodles were perfect, very Q. The Karaage was some of the best I've ever had - it came out quickly and straight out of the fryer and it was melting in my mouth. One waitress was working the whole restaurant and was doing a fantastic job. 5 star service for sure.“

“Tiny cozy place for ramen. Had full ramen bar and maybe 4-5 tables. They serve asahi on tap and offer chu-hi. Ramen broth was mostly chicken based but had a high content of garlicky and salt flavor. You can choose thin or wavy noodles. I would say save yourself from gyoza. I found them crispy but lacking flavor and juiciness when you take that first bite. Over all satisfying and around 20 bucks a bowl.“

“Absolutely wonderful bowl of ramen. I had the New Tokyo ramen and the broth was perfectly layered with flavor. It's not as clean as something like Tsutas, but very enjoyable in its own way. The only thing I can knock is the chicken, which was a tad dry.“

“Located right in the center of busy Austin Street, this gem was a great choice for delicious and filling ramen at very affordable prices. Before you enter, you'll find yourself staring at the wooden, cozy storefront that screams "comfort food". To start off, we had the kara-age and takoyaki which were good with a drizzle of lemon. However, the main star was my kara miso ramen with pork, which had a hearty miso soup base with a dab of spice sauce. There are also non-pork options such as the seafood yaki bowl, which my friend had. Despite the full house on a friday evening, the service was great and very attentive. We left with a full stomach and a warm soul. Highly recommend :)“

“Went during a quieter Saturday when about 50-60% of the tables were full. Tonkatsu taken broth was rich and creamy, noodles were chewy, and the salmon ikura bowl was refreshing.Easy service, clean bathroom, simple and well put together dining area.Only note is that ramen's noodle to broth ratio could use more broth.“

Setting: Centered near the Hudson Yards Shops and the Vessel, Suram features a dimly lit ambiance with tones of black, silver, and gold. Service: Kind waitstaff and the food came out at an expected pace for a sushi/ramen spot. Food: I got the sake don (salmon bowl - $29) and the spicy avocado crunch roll ($10). “We’ve had our fair share of instant noodles growing up, so it’s so cool to see our memories of instant noodles culminating in an Instant Noodle Factory. This spot elevates ordinary noodles into a novel experience that's not limited to just college dorm rooms and late night eats. Instant noodles are so convenient for a quick lunch or as a snack, and it’s so easy to prepare by simply adding boiling water. It’s pretty awesome to see how a meal like this has been turned into such a fun concept in LIC. I love the wall of ramen showcasing all the different types of ramen right when you walk in. They even have the spice level of each noodle displayed. My friends and I ordered the beef birria, mala madness, champong, and duck duck noods, which are mostly combinations of classic instant noodles. With each noodle dish, you have the option to add extra toppings and sides on - we opted for toppings such as corn, fried fishballs, shrimp shumai, scallions, shrimp, and fried fish cakes. Ben, of course, got the beef birria noodle soup, which comes with tender marinated beef, corn, and jalapeños. The duck duck noods come with a pulled duck leg, scallions, and a soft-boiled egg. The mala madness is a combination of Buldak Fire noodles and mala spice. Our cousin loves spice, so he handled it really well - he could've upgraded to the Buldak 2x spicy. I got champong, a spicy seafood noodle soup, and added corn, shrimp, and fried fish cakes with edamame. Don't forget a drink to wash the noodles down! I really liked the iced lychee yakult tea and peach iced tea.“

“Blown away like a torpedo out of the water ? ?Michelin star quality BROTH with beef bone marrow. ??Ramen was good but the broth, oh the broth, no words …. I grew up here and ate pretty much at all the Asian hot spots from Mott St to cheap eats on Christie St. I wouldn’t have to pay more than $3.50 - $12 for a bowl of noodles. So $21 for this beef bone marrow ramen aka GYUKOTSU is damn excessive but rightly justified. I waited 15 minutes and well worth it ??I can devour this for lunch 7 days straight ?First time here and I sat at the beer garden mistakenly. A more chill & laid back Japan setting is a quick walk up the steps.2 establishments sharing 2 types of cuisine ✅✅“

“I had the Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu and I completely enjoyed it, it was rich and gelatinous but not oily. The pork bun and thai iced tea was ok. After the first spoonful I didn't like the matcha pudding, the mild bitter taste really hits hard after finishing the iced tea, but sometime between the second and third spoonful the bitterness mellowed out and was enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend the matcha pudding. Service was prompt, and used dishes were removed quickly.“

“- we tried 5 different kinds of sushi rolls: salmon avocado and the california rolls were good, the eel avocado roll is a bit too heavy in my opinion (the sauce is really sweet), the premium black eel was average (and not worth the price) and the black spicy tuna roll was not our cup of tea at all.- I expect much more from a sushi place with 4.8 out of 5. It was ok overall, but nothing to remember+ the food came very fast, the staff is friendly+ they serve tap water“

“The ramen is amazing every time I go. Still top ramen spots in NJ. Service is fast depending on how busy it is, but due to popularity, it is usually busy. Atmosphere is good, but usually trying to find a place to sit is a challenge, again, due to popularity, as it's in a food court style seating. Worth the wait as well as seating challenge though for sure.“
