“I am so so with Chinese food. Usually picky and really don't like many places. I LOVE their General Tso's chicken!! I mean LOVE it!! We now do a Chinese food night 1x a week just because I NEED this dish in my life!! Their pork fried rice is not greasy and soggy. Also their fried cheese wontons are awesome. Again.....not greasy which is a tough one! Very happy I found this place completely randomly!“

“Busy spot with quick and easy service. Fun range in cocktails, crab fried rice is delicious and they had pork cheeks (served with thai chili slices and ginger, which was perfect), which is one of my favorite appetizers.

“This is an absolute local experience. It has 3 bar seats and a loud friendly funny guy taking orders. I came here for the congee which was basic but so flavorful and homey. I got the noodles which they are known for and they were outstanding! Chewy, umami and not the prettiest dish. I’ll sacrifice looks for flavor any day! I works say you must be a Sami brave eager to try it but it’s a place I’ll definitely crave in the future!“

“Not too busy for a weekday lunch. Prices and portions are reasonable. Service is quick and cheerful. Decor is bright and uniquely Thai.

Chicken wings - not the best I’ve had but the meat is moist and tender.

Crab fried rice - decent amount of crab meat chunks. Fried rice tastes slightly above average. Not too oily.

Mama more fire - flavors are superb. Has instant noodles in it. Half boiled egg is a great touch.

Thai iced tea - best Thai iced tea in town.“

“Party of 3 ordered food via DoorDash on a Saturday evening in October. Food arrived in very nice green containers within 30 minutes - we were just a quarter mile away. Two of us shared the beef munchite tripes appetizer and that was really good. Third guy had the flavorful mustard greens and that was done really well too - I enjoyed little bites of it. I had the juicy lamb and it was okayish - too juicy in my opinion, which made the noodles all soggy and the lamb slices were too thin and too few. One person had the spicy chicken and really liked it.“

The outer layer of the pineapple bun is super buttery and crispy and the the bun itself is soft and fluffy. The pork inside is tender and was sweeter than I expected but it pairs so well with the little saltiness on the pineapple bun crust.

“The noodles are amazing, and every dish is customizable. I love the scallion ginger, but I've had other flavors too. I ALWAYS get the seitan, it is so good! I think they make the seitan in house, there's something unique about the texture.“

“Truly so good it hurts. I got the Little Pot Rice Noodle and I cried gladly the whole time I ate it. My (even less spice-tolerant) friend went crazy and ordered Schuan Style Spicy Chicken w. Peanut and she loved it. I got her some rice and sweet tea to save her between bites. The cucumber salad is also on the sweet side and a wonderful palate rescue between bites. “I just can’t stop going back for more!” High praise indeed. We’ll be back soon!“

“good price for food. $12 for a beef noodle soup was not bad. the noodle was soft and thin, which im okay with. the soup was not so special but go well together overall. beef, veggie, soup,.. were all decent. the only thing that kinda surprised me was the food in plastic bowl. hopefully they’ll change it cause you dont want hot food go with plastic container.“

“Tangy Noodle is not the typical Chinese restaurant that New Yorkers are used to ordering from. We are accustomed to the traditional looking and tasting fast food menus that we grew up with. Just one look at their menu with the variety of photos of the dishes, makes your mouth water with anticipation. They are visually new and inviting, well-crafted, and taste far better than the average Chinese takeout. I highly recommend Tangy Noodle for the experience of a home cooked Chinese meal. “it was a rainy, dark evening in new york, so ramen was definitely the vibe this day. i stumbled upon marufuku ramen, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. the ramen is really great. very flavorful broth, i literally almost finished that before the actual noodles and protein. i highly recommend getting the tori paitan ramen! it’s nice to have a break from tonkotsu ramen sometimes and the rich chicken flavor is amazing. highly recommend getting a beer or cocktail for your ramen too. also the karaage was great too! come check it out!“

“Sao Mai is my go-to Vietnamese restaurant and has been for the past seven years. My favorite dish is the cơm bù lúc lắc (beef cubes)—absolutely delicious. Their pho tai is incredible, and the shrimp summer roll is a must-try (I just add a dash of hot sauce to the sauce they provide). I love that it’s family-owned with a warm, friendly small-business atmosphere, and their prices are fantastic.“

The beef chow fun is amazing, but don’t sleep on the vegetable dishes — the Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce and the green beans with black bean sauce are outstanding. The egg rolls are just right, and the pork fried rice is excellent. Add in the old-school staff who keep things moving with charm, and you’ve got one of the best Chinatown dining experiences around.
