The outer layer of the pineapple bun is super buttery and crispy and the the bun itself is soft and fluffy. The pork inside is tender and was sweeter than I expected but it pairs so well with the little saltiness on the pineapple bun crust.

“the congee was delicious and so flavorful! I thought I got a simple braised chicken bowl but even that had so many other small elements in there that further amplified the dish. saw some reviews complaining about the congee being unevenly heated, but I did not experience this.

also such a beautiful little place to dine in-and they have a few shelves dedicated to groceries.

my only suggestion is specify if your lattes have coffee or not, other than that everything was (basically) perfect

“Wow, easily one of the best restaurants in nyc. Food that is imaginative, perfectly made, and absolutely delicious. Even if you’re not hungry, you will eat EVERYTHING. Cocktails and wine program are both so well designed, I’d be more than happy to just pop in for a drink (but if I do, I’ll probably still eat). And the space and staff are warm and kind. “I came here during Saturday happy hour and it was great. The decorations and atmosphere are super cute and the music isn’t too loud so it’s actually conducive to conversation. I got the tum yum soup as well as the chicken satay and spring rolls. Everything was great, I personally recommend the chicken satay as the chicken was juicy and had great taste. The service was equally as good and honestly worth the price. For NYC this restaurant is an amazing price for the quality of food and service.“

“We were in town from Wisconsin to see Metallica. The day after the concert , we were looking for something good to eat and found Dumpling Dojo. Looking thru the menu , we knew we had to try. AMAZING!! We had one of the best meals we have had in a long time and my husband and I like to eat. We go to a lot of high ends places, but as I said , this place was extraordinary. The staff very friendly and helpful. We had the fried pork belly , tangerine beef , shrimp dumplings, fried shrimp and ramen noodle. And for desert , out of the world raspberry cheese cake wontons with whipped cream and fruit garnish. Nothing was too spicy but so flavorful. Again , you really need to try this place. Thank You !!“

“This spot has an extensive menu, fantastic prices, large servings, and an inviting atmosphere! Some of the more American style Chinese items (Kung Pao, General Tzo’s, and fried rice) can be ordered and come out extremely quickly (our table neighbors order some of these items and they came out in under 10 minutes!). We ordered the Garlic Sauce Style tofu, Scallion Style chicken, and Chili Oil Pork Dumplings. Everything was super delicious and we would definitely order it all again!“

“The pork soup dumps was a SOLID NINE OUT OF TEN. Was not expecting to walk in here but they had a solid deal of $6.95 for the pork soup dumps specifically. You get 6 in one order. I know what you’re thinking, they look alittle sweaty but they’re good! Temp was perfect where it wasn’t burning your mouth. The skin of the dumpling was nice and thin. Soup was rich, can’t complain. Match this was a coke and it’s the perfect recipe. I got 2 orders. Only down side is that I wish they spaced them out alittle more. They got stuck together . Did loose like 3 dumps that fell apart. Just a rinky dinky place. Unsure if I’ll go back for anything more than the dumps but it was a vibe. They need to get new menus. I saw ALOT of orders fly out there. They must be doing something right“
