“Don’t understand the bad reviews. I am picky with Chinese take out and was surprised by my meal. Chicken / beef with mixed vegetable came hot and fresh with generous portions of vegetables. Pork fried rice had a solid amount of pork / vegetables as well. Will be coming back.“

“My best friend and I visited Susukino Ramen last night and it was honestly a 10/10 experience from start to finish. We decided to try their $29 dinner special, which includes your choice of ramen, sushi, and an appetizer — and it was absolutely worth it.

Everything came out fresh, hot, and beautifully presented. The ramen was rich and flavorful without being too heavy, and the portion size was perfect. The sushi tasted incredibly fresh and well-balanced, and you could tell care was put into the preparation. Even the appetizer exceeded expectations — nothing felt rushed or thrown together. Every dish was consistent and high quality.

The atmosphere really made the night even better. The restaurant felt cozy and warm but still spacious and comfortable. It wasn’t overcrowded or loud, which made it the perfect setting to relax, catch up, and enjoy a good meal. The lighting and overall vibe created such a welcoming environment — especially for sushi and ramen.

Service was smooth and attentive without being overwhelming. Overall, it was one of those dining experiences where everything just hits — food, vibe, value, and company. We’ll definitely be back soon and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dinner spot.“

“The wait isn’t bad, the food is banging and cheap, don’t stand around in the line unless you know what you’re waiting for is the one tip I’ll give, people just stand around without seeing which line they’re in. You can walk right up to the counter if you’ve got cash. Get a few buns to go for later. The shu mai was ok seemed like it had been sitting a while.“

“I am southeast asian (Cambodian), so I was very pleased to find this hidden gem in Chinatown on Mott St! The food is tasty and full of flavor, and the portion is great! I am very picky with my asian food, so when I say I approve, I approve! Come give it a try!!“

The Crispy Pork Guy, Pork Bao Buns, and Japanese Sweet Potato were the new kids on the block this go around. Let me tell you, you cannot go wrong with the sweet potato. “Came on a Monday night after work, wasn't too busy. Very cozy and comfortable. Ordered the short rib pho! The short rib came out on a separate plate and it was huge! It was so fatty, lean and well seasoned. The broth was rich, flavorful and piping hot! Highly recommend the short rib pho! It has bar seating with a full bar as well as booth seating, sushi area and a back area. I'll be back again.“

“We were in town from Wisconsin to see Metallica. The day after the concert , we were looking for something good to eat and found Dumpling Dojo. Looking thru the menu , we knew we had to try. AMAZING!! We had one of the best meals we have had in a long time and my husband and I like to eat. We go to a lot of high ends places, but as I said , this place was extraordinary. The staff very friendly and helpful. We had the fried pork belly , tangerine beef , shrimp dumplings, fried shrimp and ramen noodle. And for desert , out of the world raspberry cheese cake wontons with whipped cream and fruit garnish. Nothing was too spicy but so flavorful. Again , you really need to try this place. Thank You !!“

“I’ve been to Star Sushi several times now, and every single visit has been great. The owner, Anthony, and his staff are always super friendly and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers — it’s the kind of place where they remember you and your favorites.
