“I’ve never felt more at home in a restaurant than Deser B. And his team made me feel tonight. He was the most authenticly kind and hospitable person I’ve met in New York and needs to be promoted to running all of the stores the way he runs this one.
This was the most authentic Mexican taco in north America. Corn tortillas made in House for each order fresh. I tried all of the protein sources and every single one of them slapped. 20 out of 5 stars. I mean if you don’t go here while you are in town you are crazy.

The toppings and salsa were the best I’ve ever had. The tacos were ready in less than 1 min after I ordered. They are obsessed with being the best and it stands out“

“Antidote was such a great spot to have dinner on my visit to NYC. The wait was not too long considering there were 7 people in my party. We had so many items off the menu and the staff was very attentive to allergies and other food preferences. The tea smocked duck was incredible, the cucumber was amazing, the wontons were delicious! Everyone loved their dish it was absolutely a great dinner. The only downside was that some of the fish dishes were made with tilapia which is not a fish preference for most of the friends I was with. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this restaurant“

Until yesterday, I have been consistently disappointed. But this? It was absolutely EVERYTHING I had dreamed about. The prices weren't ridiculous, the bathroom was PRISTINE, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was incredibly, amazingly delicious. My only complaint is that I live too far away from your stores to get it very often. But about that? My hips are less upset about the distance. :) I will definitely be back, though!“

“Food was mad dope, got a chorizo burrito that made me see god. You will leave fed and happy. The waitress was very nice and helpful with giving recommendations for dinner and I definitely do not know her but I think her name was Joanna pic related: this was my face after eating the burrito followed by a quinoa bowl“

It has a milder flavor compared to Katz's, which I actually prefer since it allowed me to finish the whole sandwich in one go. Katz's meat is so intensely flavorful that I usually need to take a break and cleanse my palate before I can finish later. This place is a fantastic alternative if you're in Jersey. The prices are reasonable, and the 8 oz option is perfect for satisfying your craving without breaking the bank. The Knish and macaroni salad were delicious as well. They give you delicious pickles. “I made a reservation here for a work dinner. The ambiance was super nice. Friendly, helpful service the whole time and amazing food. I think we got close to one of everything on the drink, appetizer and entree menus. My favorites were the rosemary margarita, shoestring fries, spicy sausage pizza, butternut squash ravioli, and the hangar steak. There was some kind of mint salad that was super good. I haven't ever tasted a salad like that before, so it was a cool experience. We did everything family style with a few people ordering pork chops or a cheeseburger for themselves. The total with all 8 of us getting multiple drinks and tons of apps + entrees shared between us plus tax and tip was $810, which is more than fair for how much we ate + drank and how good the food and service was. Will definitely come back or recommend to anyone looking for a location to host a work/birthday/celebratory dinner or date.“

I used to live on Grove, and back then it felt like more of a neighborhood secret. Now there’s almost always a crowd outside and someone trying to get the perfect corner table photo—but somehow it still feels real.

That’s hard to pull off.

I like it best at the bar. Cocktail, a few plates, nowhere to be. The room is busy and packed, but still somehow cozy instead of chaotic.

Zucchini fritti, tagliatelle, and a mezcal margarita - the zucchini fritti disappeared fast—light, crisp, salty, exactly what you want with a drink. The tagliatelle was simple in the best way. Perfect pasta, balanced flavors, nothing trying too hard.

Still a neighborhood favorite.“

When I finally try that food I just got in shock. Super tasty, delicious, the Trinidad and Dominican Republic flavors- was so down the earth. “Spicy Village was a wonderful place to have a Christmas meal! Actually, I'd like to rename it "Spicy Cozy Village" if a spicy environment can also be cozy! To start with, they were very gracious by accepting a reservation for 8 people at 6:00. Then they came outside and took our order even before we sat down and so the food was nearly ready by the time we had taken our coats off! The festivities kicked off with a plate of crispy peanuts, which ended up being the chosen appetizer, main course, and dessert for the little guy in our party. We then progressed to delicious dumplings, sesame chicken, spicy lamb huimei, and other delectable specialties! What was so amazing about the experience is that despite packing lots of people into a relatively small square foot area, it did not feel claustrophobic at all; rather it was comfortable and cozy, like sitting at a big table for a family meal at your house (even if it was take-out!!). Overall, Spicy Village was a terrific place for Christmas dinner - and I'm strongly considering coming back here for the 8 days of Hanukkah too!“
